Hi! This is my beautiful Korra. I've had her for the past 4/5 months. she's been nothing but a lovable fur child. I adopted her since she was a baby. Due to unseen circumstances with work I won't be able to give her much of my time. She's house broken so she will hold her pee and poop for as long as she can until she can get outside. About her: She's very energetic, even after long walks she'll nap for 10 minutes and she's ready for another round. Loves attention; she will do anything possible to get your attention. LOVES belly rubs. The first thing she wants when I get home is for me to rub her belly. Loves to play fetch although after the 4th throw she'll make you grab it. What I'm looking for: I'm looking for a family that will take her in and treat her like family. A family that has the time, energy, and space for her to roam around. Mainly a family that understands how much maintenance a husky will need.

At 15 months old Kobe is full of energy and loves to exert it outdoors, playing fetch and running his heart out. His favorite place in the house is right by your side, getting pets and ear rubs. Kobe is house trained and crate trained. He has lived with another dog, cats, and children. Due to his high energy, Kobe often jumps or paws when he is excited. He needs work on not “mouthing” while he plays, but has never bitten anyone or shown aggressive behavior. He is a large dog and not neutered. He is a true sweet heart and a good boy. He needs a best friend or family who understands the needs of a young dog, and the active breed that he is!!! Kobe is in need of a new home, at no fault of his own. Due to my medical needs, I have to say goodbye but am hoping to find him the best forever home possible!!

Meet BOLT - Paws Behind Bars Trained BOLT is a 5-year-old male, Husky mix who weighs 45 lbs. And yes, he has one brown eye and one blue eye. It was easy for most to walk by him in the shelter; his energy lever was not compatible with a kennel run. When we pulled him and gave him exercise, wow, what a gem! Bolt's temperament is excellent, and with energy looking for a job to do, he was the perfect dog for our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. Here, he's received obedience training and the proper amount of exercise (a critical consideration for anyone interested in Huskies). We are also getting a much better glimpse of his personality. These dogs live with their inmate 24/7. The one-on-one attention goes a long way to helping us tell the adopter just what to expect. Bolt's new owner must enjoy a "talker," because Bolt has a lot to say about everything! Not a bark, not a howl, just a lot of jibber jabber! He is a very loyal dog and will bond closely with his owner. Bolt is just graduating from the program and is available for adoption now. Kevin is a 3 year old, male husky mix that weighs 55 lbs. He is a graduate of our Paws Behind Bars prison dog training program. He is smart, obedient and very willing to please. He is very fond of people and other dogs. He'll need a fenced in back yard and plenty of exercise. We have no doubt he'll make a wonderful family companion for an active family.
