Story
Meet Domino! Domino is a 2-year-old Husky mix with a vibrant, energetic personality that shines the moment you meet him. He can get a little overexcited during introductions, but once he has a minute to settle, he shows off his calmer, more focused side. On field trips outside the shelter, Domino has been noticeably more relaxed — a good sign that the busy shelter environment is what amps him up. With structure and routine in a home, he’ll really thrive. This smart boy is highly treat motivated, listens well, and is eager to learn. Teaching him new tricks or activities should be a breeze for anyone ready to keep his mind engaged! Domino is also toy obsessed, so for everyone’s safety and comfort, we recommend a home with children 12 and older. Domino has done well with other dogs and may enjoy having a canine companion, as long as it’s a good match. If you’re looking for a fun, intelligent, enthusiastic adventure buddy, Domino might just be your perfect match!

Story
Gigi is a husky mix. She is around 5 years old. She gets along well with other dogs and loves her people! She can be nervous around strangers but always warms up quickly. She loves going for walks and playing in the snow. If you’re looking for an already trained pup, she’s your girl! She is potty trained, crate trained, and knows basic commands. Fill out an application today: https://www.jotform.us/form/43196636952162 **** Hi, my name is Gigi! I’m an Akita mix about 3 years old. I’m a very sweet girl and love to run, play, and stretch out in the sun. I really enjoy exploring my world through all its fantastic smells. Chasing small animals is always fun, so a fenced-in yard is a must to make sure I don’t get carried away. Slow introductions are best for me, as I can be a little timid with strangers, but once I’ve warmed up to you, I can be your best pal, whether playing outside or hanging around on the couch. If you give me belly rubs, I’ll be your friend forever! My foster brother and I have a great time playing with each other, and I get along with other dogs once I get to know them. I’m looking for a loving, patient family that can help me grow and build my confidence by gently introducing me to new environments and experiences. Can you be my forever home? *** We have no idea why she’s been waiting so long. She is obviously gorgeous and sweet! She is a careful girl but loves her people fiercely! She is more nervous around new men, but warms up fine as she looooooves her foster dad so much. She is an active girl and loves to run and play with other dogs. In fact, she tends to do best with other dogs around because they help her feel more confident and secure. This pretty girl needs nothing but a little patience and love. If interested in meeting Gigi, fill out an application today! https://www.jotform.us/form/43196636952162Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old.
