Story
Hi, I'm Ripley! I'm a super sweet girl who was sadly abandoned at an Indiana shelter but I have really come out my shell in my foster home. I am a vibrant Husky mix with a full heart of love! I thrive on play time, I'm a tug-of-war enthusiast with lots of puppy energy. I adore human companionship and would do best with older kids, due to my energy. I love to cuddle up with my humans. I'm potty trained and well behaved. I am ready for a forever home as an only dog or alongside a high energy companion. I come with a clean bill of health. I'm spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. If you bring me into your life, our adventures can begin! I am currently being fostered in Hannover Park, IL but can be transported to an approved adopter! I can't wait to meet you!

Story
Luna was born December 11, 2021. We got her a friend as soon as she was able to leave her mom. She has been a very good dog to us up until we had my daughter. She has become very jealous and needs more attention then we can give her. She is very loving and enjoys long walks. She needs to be in a home with older kids and someone who can take time to love her and train her. She does well with other dogs. We have a sibling of hers from another litter. They get along for the most part until it comes down to their food. They will argue, not necessarily fight, but she can get food aggressive towards other pets and small children. She does really well with my 14 year old son as well as other older children. She just doesn’t do well with toddlers.

Story
This good boy of all good boys is Bullet. He is about five years old, is neutered, and has the most darling happy-go-lucky puppy personality. The most adorable thing about Bullet is how he frolics around in piles of leaves and bounces back and forth like a little deer! He's precious. And now, a note from Bullet: "Car rides are the best. Walks are the bee's knees. Squeaky toys are fantastic. I really would love a home with a fenced-in yard. Since I am such a gentleman, I prefer to not potty while on-leash! Yes, it is a silly quirk, but I like to have freedom while I am doing my business. I mean, don't you? I'd also prefer if there were less than four stairs in the home. Stairs can be tricky for me! I've done alright with some kitty cats, but the humans are still watching my behavior around them. My most positive interest around other shelter dogs has been when the other dogs are calm and not too "in my face." If kiddos are gentle, I bet I'd be a great furbrother to them. So, they'd probably need to be about 8ish and up to understand that sometime my jaw may hurt, so gentleness is a big deal! As far as meeting people goes, I am an A+ student. I really hope that my special need only makes me more special in your eyes. Because, at the end of the day, I have no idea that I have this autoimmune disease and it sure doesn't stop me from being the best boy ever. Love, Bullet." P.S. Bullet has masticatory myositis which means his immune system attacks the muscles in his head and jaw. This also means that it can be painful to open his mouth and he could have pain in his cheeks. His adopter will need to be diligent in monitoring jaw pain and ensuring he has access to vet care as Bullet will need to be on lifelong medication, but it is only about $10/month! He was a complete gentleman for his vet intake exam and was so respectful. Bullet may end up needing to be on a soft food diet.
