Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Guardians of the Green Mile Inc. We are a group of individuals that have come together to save the lives of animals that are in danger of being euthanized. We raise funds to fully vet the animals and to provide them with a stable home until they are adopted. All of the dogs in our Rescue are in Foster homes while they are looking for their forever family. The only time we put a dog in boarding is for a Foster to go on vacation if another Foster is not able to care for them. We appreciate your taking the time to fill out the application to adopt one of our Guardians of the Green Mile pets. The questions that we ask are to only find the right fit for all of our dogs and the families that will be adopting them. Adoption donation is $300.00 for dogs over 1 year old and $350 with a $50.00 spay / neuter deposit for puppies/dogs under 1 year old. Meet Halo. She is about 3½ months old and is spayed. Please email us at pets@michianapets.org to request an adoption application! We are unsure of her breed(s), but estimate she will end up being a large mixed-breed pup—possibly 50-60 pounds or more; however, that is just our assumption. She currently weighs around 21 pounds. She is a very lovable and reserved sweetheart. We would love for whoever adopts her to be willing to continue to socialize her as that will definitely set her up for success!

"Eclipse is so soft! So snuggly! So stubborn☺️😇 So cute! She’s full of puppy mischief but it’s pretty tough to get mad at that sweet face. Eclipse loves being around her foster brother and will give him kisses at every opportunity she gets! Eclipse likes playing with toys and wrestling—her favorite thing is getting on an elevated surface, like the couch, and pouncing on her unsuspecting fursister😎 She is a smart girl who runs to her crate and sits politely when it’s time to eat. She is about 90% of the way there with “sit” and recognizes “go outside” as well as “go inside.” -Eclipse's foster mom.
