Story
Layla is a great dog! She was a rescue that I can no longer keep due to a busy schedule with my kids. I saved her from a pretty bad situation. She is great with kids and house/crate trained. She needs a family that has a fence for sure! She loves to run. She is very lovable and affectionate dog, she would be best as the only dog because she likes a lot of attention. Must have knowledge of the husky bread, they are not your typical dog.

Story
Sweet Harley came to us as a stray when he wandered into his finder`s yard and decided to not leave. So, she made sure to get him here safely to us to help him find his people! No one has came to claim this cutie, so now he is looking for a family who will keep him safe AND love him for his forever! He is thought to be 11 months old and he is super sweet! He is possibly an Alaskan husky mix and he weighs 37.5 pounds. We have no information available about how he does with other dogs or cats, due to being a stray, and we always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption. He is a love bug who is just as handsome as he is sweet! For more information on Harley, please come meet him in person. His fee is waived!!

Story
Willy is 11 years old. His shots are up to date as of last year. He has killed livestock(ducks and chickens) on our property and has not responded well to being tied up in the yard when outside, but he can't be out free anymore. I would just like to find him someplace where he can have some freedom, maybe a fenced in yard or somewhere more urban.

Story
Baxter is approximately four years old and came to us as a stray. He is likely a German shepherd/husky mix and is an adorable guy with one brown and one blue eye. He is extremely sweet and loving. He is good with my dog so we think he would love a doggie brother or sister. The foster doens't have children but based on personality we think he would be good with children. He has been totally housebroken and learned to use the doggie door on his own on the second day at his foster home. He has been fully vetted and is ready to go to his forever home. He does need work on walking on a leash and on basic manners but he's a smart boy and he'll catch on quickly.    Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. The first step to adopting is to fill out an application for adoption. Once approved we will arrange a time for you to meet the animal you are interested in. If it is a match the adoption can then be completed and you can take home your new furry family member. If it is not a match we will file your approved application and you can wait till you find the perfect match. ##1989229##

Story
Athena was from a shelter and is a very good dog she came in as a stray so she she had no back story. It turns out her breed is not allowed in the home that I rent and have to search for her a home that she can be in. She loves attention she just started coming out of her shell and playing with toys. She normally just lays around when we’re just watching tv or in the kitchen. She’s very curious about new people and animals she wants to play with any dog she sees she gets very excited. She is a lovely dog and hope to find her a happy home

Story
Meet Ace, a friendly and affectionate 1 year old, handsome Siberian Husky. Ace is playful but gentle and is very loyal. He still has puppy in him which makes him so much fun. He likes other dogs and kids but maybe better with older kids since he still does a bit the puppy nipping and jumping, which is common with young dogs and huskies. Ace is very smart and loves kisses. Ace weighs 55 lbs, is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccines and is heartworm negative. He is potty trained, crate trained and walks well on a leash with a harness. Please email info@angelstotheanimals.org to arrange a meet and greet or request an application. Please give this sweet boy a chance and he will love you forever!!

Story
Jax came to us in late November with his sister who has already been adopted. He is a 5 year old large and gorgeous Siberian Husky. Jax has had a hard time transitioning to the shelter, so we wanted to open up the possibility of an experienced dog owner and/or someone knowledgeable about the breed. Jax's previous owner stated that he is sweet, gentle, and smart but gets defensive in the crate. In the shelter, which is often stressful for dogs, he isn't a huge fan of men and interactions with strangers. He loves being outside and will sit politely and give "paw" for treats, which he takes very gently. He also loves stuffed toys! However, he does not trust staff or volunteers. He needs a confident owner and a safe space to work on his trust. It is possible that Jax will improve and return to his sweet self once he is in a different environment. He is up to date on his vaccines, female dog friendly, and crate trained. He has had accidents in his kennel, but it may be because he is still intact, as his previous owner noted that he was crate trained. He is quite vocal, which is pretty normal for the breed and is sometimes hilarious. He is not neutered but will be before adoption. Please come down to meet him!

Story
Pumpkin is a nearly 5-year-old Husky known for his playful and friendly nature, particularly enjoying the company of other dogs. While he was raised alongside cats, his current disposition towards them is uncertain. Regrettably, Pumpkin's owner can no longer afford to care for him due to the demands of holding two jobs and the consequent guilt of leaving him alone for extended periods. Pumpkin seeks a new home that can provide him with ample space to play and run freely. If you're searching for a devoted and spirited companion, Pumpkin could be the ideal addition to your family.
