Story
Bo is a beautiful Husky mix who will surely win over any animal lover. Bo has great facial expressions and the most stunning cool, light blue eyes; he is very handsome!!! One other great thing about Bo is he is petite size; he is almost fully grown and weighs less than 40 lbs. You get the benefits of the Husky but in a "pint-size."   Bo loves to be with people and walks on a leash like he has been doing it for years. Bo does extremely well with meeting dogs and walking side by side on a leash, so if you are looking to add another pup to your household, look no further than this handsome boy.   Bo will do great if he has other dog friends in the house with active human parents who have dog experience and patience to train and coach him. Bo is smart and needs both physical and mental stimulation. You can do that with scent games, different toys, lerning new commands through positive reinforcement training, etc. He will do best with a 5ft fenced in yard and is not suited to apartment living. Bo is a little too interested in smaller critters like kitties, so he will skip a home with those 4-legged creatures in the home. He is good with kids but should be in a home with older kids/teenagers due to size/energy/playfulness.   He loves playing with toys, going on adventures, great in the car, but is also so happy to snuggle up on the couch with you and give you all his love. Based on his gentle personality, he would have no issues with older children, but may be too playful for toddlers. Bo is a complete snuggle bug once he gets to know you, will smile at you right when you need it most and is not shy with his kisses. Bo will be an amazing addition to any family willing to love him for the rest of his life - all he wants to do is love you right back!   As part of Bo’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Bo, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2002237##

Story
This handsome guy is a great dog! Miles is very loveable and friendly, and he has a great temperament. He does well with kids, he's very good in the car, he's house-trained, and he doesn't shed as much as you'd expect. He gets along well with the smaller dogs in the foster home. He's only been around one larger dog, a German Shepherd, and they were just not that into each other. There is a good chance that Miles would get along with other dogs, with a good introduction. Because he's a Husky mix, Miles has a fair amount of energy and will need walks, exercise and play to burn that off. Huskies are known for being escape artists, so he will need to stay on leash, or have a tall fence. If he's with you, he does not tend to run off. He hasn't been cat tested, so we're not sure how he would do with cats.  As part of Miles’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Miles, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1991150##

Story
Meet Capone! I'm a silly, playful, and fun-loving guy who will keep you entertained with my delightful antics. You'll be pleased to know that I'm both crate and potty trained, making me a well-behaved companion. However, I should mention that I prefer to be the only dog in the house, and I'm most comfortable in a home with adults - so no kids, please. I absolutely adore going for walks, and I'm always up for a good cuddle session or some playtime. Chewing on bones is a favorite pastime of mine, and I'm a sucker for treats. You'll find that I'm smart but a bit hard-headed, which can make life with me quite an adventure. Trust me, I'm even cuter in person! If you think I might be the one you're looking for, don't hesitate to ask to meet me. I can't wait to become your best friend and fill your life with love and laughter! Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Koda is already neutered and READY TO GO HOME TODAY! During a recent playgroup session, Koda didn't quite seem to know how to interact with other dogs. He enjoyed chasing the other dog, but once chasing ended he wasn't quite sure what to do and seemed a bit uncomfortable. If going to a home with another dog, he will likely need slow introductions over the course of at least a few days to ensure the two can peacefully co-exist. Koda has heartworms but it's treatable and not contagious. To help with the medical cost, a $400 sponsorship for treatment is provided by Friends of Wake County Animal Center. Email healaheart@outlook.com for more information. If you're interested in learning more about Koda, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Koda 240169."He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and already neutered. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
