Story
Rory is a 2 year old Siberian Husky. He’s all white with one brown eye and one blue eye. He is crate trained and does well in the house under supervision. He is full of energy and loves running and playing with people and dogs. Still could use work on being trained inside. He loves digging outside. He does well with our 5 year old at home but we have a baby also and he is a bit too energetic and playful around them. He has never bit anyone but we have to confine him to a small space with kids being so little. He deserves to be able to walk about and be around people more. He is microchipped. He is not neutered. Please help find a good home for him, he is a sweet boy and would love being around a family with slightly bigger kids who can handle his energy.

Story
This sweet guy is Sawyer! He and his brother Finn (also available)  found themselves here at FDHS one rainy evening after hours. They had been dumped on our doorstep in a crowded kennel covered in their own feces with no shelter from the pouring rain. Thankfully, we had a few staff members staying late and they discovered these poor guys before they left for the night. We quickly learned where these two had come from and despite our kennels being over-crowded and not knowing entirely what we were going to do with them, we were happy that they were here and not where they were. Sawyer is the more timid of the two brothers and sometimes takes a little longer to warm up to new people and situations. We were told he's done well with other animals and children in his previous home and that he was used to being crated. He's done very well here with the staff and is tolerant of the other shelter dogs. We think with slow introductions that he'd blend in well with most households. He does keep a clean kennel through the day and knows a few of his basic commands. He is very treat and praise motivated so we believe any additional training should be a breeze. Due to his history, Sawyer is a runner and would need to go to a home with a fenced yard or someone willing to leash walk him! He is a husky mix so he will need a good physical and mental outlet for all that energy!Sawyer is a gentle soul that's been failed by humans. We are determined to never let that happen to him again. If you have some extra love to spare, consider making Sawyer a member of the family!**Neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines & monthly prevention. Weighs about 60 lbs**

Story
Oh Sarge, you handsome boy. Sargent is a two year old husky pointer mix that came to us as an owner surrender. His owner was heartbroken to give Sargent up, but sometimes life throws some curve balls, and we were happy to take this sweet boy. Sarge is sure missing his people, and he is quite sad at the shelter. He is good with the other dogs and so patient with the hyper ones. He is also great with cats and with kids. He’s just a sweet boy who wants nothing more than to have a family of his own again. His ideal home would have some parents that are home a lot. He loves company. Sargent’s adoption fee is $400. It includes his neuter, updated vaccinations, deworming, flea and tick prevention, and heartworm test and prevention. 🐾To come meet Sarge, please fill out our application at the link below: https://fchsohio.org/adopt-form/

Story
Nanook is 6 yrs old (7 in Jan) he has lived his whole life so far with 2 young children, another dog and a cat, he's great with all of them. Nanook is high-energy and will need a fenced yard. He is not an escape artist, so even a chainlink is good. He knows basic commands, such as sit & shake, but he can be stubborn & choose when he listens to those commands. He is very treat motivated though. He is extremely loving, enjoys cuddling on the couch, sleeping in bed with his humans, & getting lots of pets. Nanook has a lot of hair, he does shed, all year round - if you do not enjoy sweeping and vacuuming everyday, he is NOT the pet for you. Nanook has to be rehomed due to no fault of his, but a very serious medical situation within our family. He has a dog-sister looking for a new home too, would love to keep them together if anyone is interested, but understand if they must be separated. Adoption fee is negotiable to the perfect family.

Story
This young man is looking for a home with space to continue helping him learn and grow- Loki is an approximately 1 year old Husky/Lab mix that is working toward hitting large dog status in size. Loki is a smart guy- learning many basics, fully potty trained and crate trained. Loki does well with other dogs and children- cats so far are an unknown. Loki's 60 day update from his foster: "Loves car rides, snuggling, wrestling Buster (Foster's personal dog), anything outside and he's game. Minds very well on and off leash. Does great with other dogs and kids, is fully up to date on vet care. He is definitely ready to find a new home and be best buds with a new family to spend all the time with." Loki is doing well outside having only a 4ft tall fence, but having a fenced yard for him is highly recommended. He is learning to mind his manners on and off leash- and hitting expert status! Loki is still a puppy, so getting into things, new person excitement, and chewing are not uncommon behaviors. His foster says the following on his overall demeanor "He likes to be right with me when inside. He likes to lick ALOT". If you think this adorable guy is the match your home needs in a dog- follow our link below and complete the required ADOPTION APPLICATION. *PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must live within an hour radius of Toledo, Ohio *Loki was just neutered on 6/20, is microchipped, current on shots, and on monthly prevention for heartworm/fleas *His adoption fee is $300.00 *Visit our website to find our ADOPTION APPLICATION to help Loki nab his forever home. Courtesy Post Kyra is being posted with courtesy by DogWorks Ohio to ensure she is gets an appropriate home. All applications will be forwarded appropriately to the person requesting our assistance. Kyra is a 3 year old, guessed to be around 50 pound Husky/German Shephard mix. Kyra isn't getting along with the other dog in her home, so she is looking for a spot to be someone's possible "one and only". Kyra is potty, leash, and crate trained. Doesn't like dogs in her face/area and does like cats- but a bit too much. This beautiful girl loves to chew bones and cuddle. She is spayed and it is unsure if she is current on her shots. Her adoption fee is going to be $100.00. If you would like more info or to meet Kyra, be sure to complete our DogWorks Ohio application and we will forward you to her current caretaker.
