Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Kobe - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Alright people, who all out there is a LA Lakers fan?!! Oh wow, me too. I was named after the famous basketball player, Kobe Bryant. Like Kobe, trying to block the basketball, I have this little thing I do. I stand on my hind legs and wave my front paws back and forth, just like I'm trying to block that basketball too!! I am a handsome 2yr old that comes in around 50lbs. The perfect size to carry a backpack on hiking trips. It gives me a purpose and saves your back. Well now, isn't that a win win situation?!! I am a people pleaser and would rather spend my days with you. I am good with other dogs and do enjoy my playtime with them but then it's back to you where we can chill watching your favorite TV show or maybe a Lakers game. I will look at you with my "I love you" eyes cuz who can resist those!! I know I'll have you wrapped around my little finger...err, paw when I give you that look!! Things to know about being owned by a Husky :) - Huskies are known to be good natured, very outgoing and friendly. They have a playful, cheerful personality with just a dash (or 2!) of mischief thrown in. They love to see what kind of shenanigans they can get into and will keep you on your toes. Life with a husky will never be dull. They are very intelligent and have a great desire to please their people but need to be provided with plenty of exercise to keep them satisfied and the shenanigans at a minimum. And of course, huskies shed a lot! A brush and the vacuum will become extensions of your arms BUT there is nothing like being on the receiving end of a husky's love!!!! Do you have room in your heart and home for this fine specimen of handsomeness (if I do say so myself)? Awesome... lets go, I'm ready!!

Story
Blue is a 3 year old mixed husky we got in Colorado. Due to a recent move and change of jobs, we have found ourselves with little time for her. She is the most affectionate, loving dog, and would do the best in a home as an only pet, or with other dogs. She also does well with children. The most important thing I'm looking for in her new home is someone who has enough time to consistently exercise her.

Story
Pace has been in our family since 2020, and is a sweet, loyal dog who loves to run and play. He has lived with 3 other dogs in our home, ranging from a 12 lbs Pekingese to our 95lbs GSD. Pace did great with older kids (ages 6 & 15) but when we had our newborn the family dynamic changed too much for Pace, and he was no longer the center of attention. He had separation anxiety when we got him, meaning he would relieve himself in the house if left alone, but it improved significantly. However, once our baby was born it returned and became significantly worse. He has been marking the baby’s toys, and if we take the baby on walk but don’t take him, he will intentionally relieve himself in the living room to let us know he’s mad. We have another child coming in June, and we fear that the changing family dynamic will compound his current problems and make his behavior worse. Pace would thrive in a home that has active owners who can provide him with love and attention.
