Story
I had SKy fo rthe last 5 years, we libe alone. She mostly is an inside dog, she love play with her two teddies and a lot of zummies. She loves what TV. She loves homemade cooking, but she really like can food and dry food. Loved yogurt and dry strawberries. She is a really quite dog to be husky. Love to cuddle and be brush. Love to give you kisses. She will follow all around the house but when she is tire or sleepy she will hide under the bed. She lovess naks. Again she mostly is an inside house dog, but Im sure she will be great in house with a patio that she can play. I'm heart broken that i have to give her away but Im getting deployed and i dont have another option. Just looking for family that can care her as much as I did.

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Clara. I'm about 5-7 years old and I weigh about 67 lbs. I was found as a stray in the West Point area and I was brought into the pound. I was microchipped, but the chip wasn't registered, so the pound wasn't able to track down any owner information for me. I am a really good girl for my breed, but a husky savvy family will still be preferred for me. IYKYK. I am sweet, quiet in my kennel, was very clean and appeared very well cared for, yet I was never claimed by my owner. I appear to be housebroken and I do know some basic commands, though if I don't respect you, I will not listen to you. I have been a great girl here at the pound, but when I went to the vet, I was not up to their poking and prodding shenanigans and I had to be muzzled for my exam. Oopsie. I think I a nice, quiet home would suit me best. I home without a lot of noise and commotion. I just want to find my new people and live a happy life out of the noise of the shelter. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Nova. I'm about 2 1/2 years old and I weigh about 61 lbs. My friend Bruiser and I were found running around the Calcutta/ East Liverpool area and we were brought into the pound. One of the local Police Departments had me posted on their facebook page about us being found and someone recognized us. She said our owner passed away and did say our names, but didn't say much else that would be helpful in finding our caretakers and we were never claimed, so now we are looking for loving new families to join. I am a very sweet girl. I've been very happy and friendly with all of the people I've met. I've done well around the other dogs that I've met here at the pound and I LOVE having another dog friend to play with. I could use a little more work with manners and basic training, but I seem to catch on to things pretty well. I am very clean in my kennel and I do appear to be at least mostly potty trained. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. Story
Ruby is a stunning Husky mix with a gentle soul and wonderful manners. This beautiful girl has the softest, sweetest presence and is an absolute joy to be around. She listens well, knows commands, and truly wants to please her people. Ruby has already shown what an amazing dog she is by raising four puppies and doing a phenomenal job. She was a devoted, loving mom and has transitioned seamlessly into being a calm, affectionate companion. She loves people, does well with other dogs, and is a dream indoors. Ruby is fully house-trained, crate-trained (though she doesn’t need one), and has excellent house manners, no chewing or destructive behaviors. Outside, her playful Husky side shines. She loves to run, play, and show off her zoomies. Like most Huskies, Ruby thrives with regular exercise and mental stimulation. If bored, she may try to explore, so a secure yard and an active lifestyle are important. She has been around cats and will bark at them, but with time and guidance, this may improve. Ruby would do best with an adopter who understands the Husky breed and is ready to give her the activity, structure, and love she deserves. In return, she will be a loyal, affectionate, and truly special companion. ✨ Ruby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventions. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and loving Husky mix to add to your family, Ruby just might be your perfect match. 💕🐶 Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)
