Please note that we are a TX based rescue that transports our dogs once they are adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Echo - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! Echoes roll from soul to soul and grow forever, a sound repeating, having a lasting or far reaching impact. That's our Echo boy!! He will definitely have a lasting impact on your life. He is very affectionate, the very definition of a cuddlebug!! Echo adores and wants attention from his people more then anything else. Echo does great with other dogs but his favoritest thing is curling up for a nap right beside his most precious thing...YOU!! He always wants to face the sunshine so the shadows fall behind him, wanting to live life to the fullest and focus on the positive. A great attitude to go along with his pawsome easy going personality. Echo is a handsome 2yr old that comes in around 50lbs. The perfect size to carry a backpack on hiking/camping trips. It gives him a purpose and saves your back. Well now, isn't that a win win situation?!! And he does great on car trips, another of his favorites! Things to know about being owned by a Husky :) - Huskies are known to be good natured, very outgoing and friendly. They have a playful, cheerful personality with just a dash (or 2!) of mischief thrown in. They love to see what kind of shenanigans they can get into and will keep you on your toes. Life with a husky will never be dull. They are very intelligent and have a great desire to please their people but need to be provided with plenty of exercise to keep them satisfied and the shenanigans at a minimum. And of course, huskies shed a lot! A brush and the vacuum will become extensions of your arms BUT there is nothing like being on the receiving end of a husky's love!!!! Do you have room in your heart and home for this fine specimen of handsomeness? Awesome... lets go, he is ready and eager to become a member of YOUR family!!

Balto lost one of his owners to cancer a few years ago and sadly his other owner is now suffering from cancer and can no longer care for him. He is high energy and would do well with a yard and exercise. He’s a purebread, 7-year old husky and his owner would be thrilled for him to find a loving home. Can waive adoption fee (meant to help cover dog-sitting) if he can be picked up within a week.

Story
This is a courtesy post for our friends at Brooke County Animal Shelter   JILL is a charismatic 6 year old Husky/ mix female who is looking for some action, adventure, and affection. Sporting a gorgeous black, brown, and white coat and striking blue eyes, this sweet girl could use some extra exercise to help her achieve her ideal weight. She is observant and keenly aware of all the activity in our shelter: nothing gets by this smart girl! JILL has a super friendly demeanor, and it wouldn't take long for her to settle into the good life with whomever is fortunate enough to adopt her. She enjoys the company of some other dogs, but is too energetic for cats to be comfortable. If you have an existing dog in your home, a "meet and greet" is a Must before JILL is adopted into your home. JILL is a social dog who loves to be with people, and will want to be in the mix of things going on with her family. No longer a puppy, she has a medium energy level and would likely do best in a home who will love taking her for walks and give her plenty of regular activity and playtime. She is as sweet and lovely as they come...so come and meet her! Please contact the BROOKE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER @ 304-394-0800 for more information about JILL . We Thank You for your interest in the animals in our shelter, and hope you will visit with us very soon! * Though the information on our animals available for adoption is updated frequently, please understand that there is a chance that when you arrive at our shelter the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted or another party might be going through the adoption process at that time. Our shelter is happy to work with responsible rescues! We are conveniently located just 45 minutes from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We will gladly provide you with easy directions to our facility upon request.  June 1, 2023, 10:12 am

Story
Hi, my name is Odin and I'm looking for my forever best friend! I've had kind of a rough start and it takes me a little bit of time (and hotdogs) before I know you are my people. You see, I used to have a family but they moved away during the hot Texas summer, and left me outside all by myself. All of the neighbors fed me all kinds of yummy things and I even trusted one enough to take the heavy chain off of my neck. (what a relief!) I wasn't sure about the rescue people down the street, and it took me a couple of weeks to let them approach me, but during a heat wave I finally let my foster dad put a leash on me and take me home! Now he's my bestest friend. I was in rough shape with a bum eye that hurt me and heartworms and it took me a couple of weeks before I would let foster mom and dad pet me without grumbling at them(of course, I am a TALKING HUSKY!!). I didn't want them to grab me, push me, put me in a crate, or touch me too much. Now my walls are down and my favorite things to do are snuggle up, get scritches, sit on my foster mom's lap, and just be by my people. I'm very loyal and I'm always lying by their feet no matter where they are. They taught me to go in the crate and in the car by myself because I'm very eager to learn how to do things and please you so that you don't have to force me to do anything! At the vet I wear a muzzle for everybody's safety and I let my foster mom and dad put it right on my head. I have lots of dogs in my foster home and I get along with all of them. I'm still learning that there's enough love and food to go around though, and I sometimes resource guard things like toys, treats, and the dog food bin. I'm fine with most of the dogs, but I watch out for the other big male in my foster house. My foster parents can easily redirect my attention with a verbal reprimand, a spray bottle, or a tap on the rear. I also love to jump up and rough house and might knock little kids over because I want to play with them. My ideal best friend knows a lot about dogs and is patient and has lots of hotdogs. It might take me a couple of weeks, but I promise to be your loyalist bestest friend ever. If you have a dog who is patient and good with other dogs I would love that too and maybe we could also be best friends, I want to play but my foster siblings don't know how. Odin is a wonderful dog who needs a little patience before he lets his true temperament shine. He is extremely loyal but would thrive in a home with experienced dog owners as he doesn't like to be grabbed, lifted, or pushed, and responds best to positive and upbeat energy. He's eager to please and with a little patience has learned to go into the crate (where he does an excellent job being quiet and settling down) and into the car. He does get carsick and throws up on almost every ride. He has a lot of energy and would love an active family to take him hiking, walking, or jogging. Odin is a good weight at 75 pounds, is finishing up hw treatment, and is about 2 years old. If you bring the patience, respect, and hotdogs, Odin will bring the unwavering love and loyalty! Local adoption fee $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)
