Story
🤎 Meet Brookie 🐾Brookie is approximately 1 year old and weighs about 52 lbs. Her breed is a bit of a mystery—possibly Husky, Bull or Pit Bull Terrier, Shepherd, Kelpie… or a perfect mix of all of the above. We did notice she looks very similar to tri-colored Husky/Kelpie mixes, but one thing’s for sure: she’s 100% lovable.Brookie is smart, energetic, and super sweet with a truly gentle soul. She’s dog-friendly and loves to play fetch, but she’s just as happy curling up on the couch for serious cuddle time 🥰. She truly enjoys cuddling and playing equally, making her the best of both worlds. This girl loves squeaky toys, goes wild for peanut butter, and is motivated by both toys and food, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. She walks well on a leash, enjoys her outings, and even loves to share her toys with her people—yes, she’ll proudly bring them to you 🤎Brookie is crate trained and house trained and does wonderfully at night—quiet in her crate with no accidents. She already knows “sit” and was working on “down.” When she knows someone is home, she’s calm, relaxed, and content in her crate.During the day, Brookie can experience some separation anxiety and may vocalize because she worries she’s been left alone forever 💔. Because of this, she may do best in a home with another dog for companionship or with TV or music left on to help her feel less alone 🎶🐕Brookie was unsure about cats at first and would bark, but she showed improvement after just a few days—especially once one brave kitty came close enough for her to investigate. A slow, patient introduction would be important in a cat home. She had a couple of accidents while adjusting, but for the most part understands that potty time is outside. There is no aggression here—just a sensitive, loving girl who wants reassurance, stability, and lots of love ❤️If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will play hard, cuddle harder, share her toys, and steal your heart, Brookie might just be your girl 🤎🐾🩺 Brookie will be fully vetted before adoption, including:✔️ Vaccinated✔️ Heartworm & Lyme negative✔️ On heartworm prevention✔️ On flea & tick prevention✔️ Spayed prior to adoption✔️ Microchipped prior to adoption💲 Adoption fee: $225Brookie is looking for a family who understands that love, patience, and cuddles go a long way—and who won’t mind sharing their couch with a very devoted snuggle buddy 🤎🐾You can stop into the shelter 12- 5 pm Monday through Friday or 11 am to 3 pm on Saturday to meet who is available at that time. Please arrive no later than 30 minutes before we close to ensure we have time to do the adoption. We're open Monday through Friday 12-5 pm and Saturday 11-3 pm. We're located at 9331 State Route 124 Hillsboro, OH. Our adoption is open and easy, please come to the shelter to meet the animals in person to adopt.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Introducing Colt! This beautiful boy is said to be a Pomsky, but he is on the larger size at almost 50 lbs. He came to DASH very shy, not really knowing what love and trust were. He is currently in our DASH Prison Program, where he is learning to socialize and just be a dog. He is working on his basic commands and is crate trained, potty trained in the prison setting and now walks well on a leash. He is coming out of his shell and likes all dogs and people. He is a little sensitive to loud noises, but is working on that with his handler. He is just a wonderful dog who needs an active person or family to continue his training and let him know he is safe and loved. He has not been kid or cat tested. (FTA: Colt is a part of our Foster-to-Adopt program. If you are interested in bringing Sampson home to test how he would acclimate to your environment, apply today!) Story
Daisy is a 10 month old husky mix. True to husky nature she is playful, energetic, intelligent (with selective hearing), and has a love for adventure (leash required). Daisy is completely housebroken and trained to use a bell chain to alert she needs to go out. Crate trained but recently permitted to stay out during the night. Potential adopters may consider a fenced yard. Daisy currently lives in a home with a cat, dog and children. While she loves to play, her fur mates are not as keen with her big-husky energy. NOTE: Spay not yet performed as she has not had her first heat cycle.

Story
Meet Jerry! Jerry originally came to us as a stray, but was surrendered to us by his breeder along with his brother Ben. We are still getting to know Jerry, but so far he is a friendly, sweet little guy just ready to find his furever home. Jerry's previous owner said that he does well with children and other dogs. He is a young puppy, and is looking for a home prepared to invest some time and training to make him the perfect canine citizen we know he can be. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Jerry home. If you are interested in meeting Jerry, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit. Story
Meet Kibo! Kibo came to us along with his mom and brother as strays. We aren't sure how this furry family ended up on the streets, but Kibo is ready for a fresh start! Kibo can take some time to open up with strangers, but he is hoping you'll see past his tough exterior to the silly pup we know he is. He seems to already know some basic skills like "sit", and his ideal home will continue training to set him up for success. He has a typical Husky personality; he is independent and likes to think for himself, while he enjoys human company he doesn't seem to care for snuggles when exploring is so much more fun. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Kibo home. If you are interested in meeting Kibo, please submit an adoption form on our website: fairfieldcountydogs.com and we will contact you to arrange a time to visit.
