We do our best to inform adopters about the potential breeds for each dog.We are a dog only facility so we do not know how most of our dogs will be with cats. Even if a dog is surrendered to us and said to be good with cats there is no way to be sure the dog will be good with your cats. We do have a 7 day foster-to-adopt program so that you can see how the dog interacts with your cats before adoption.

I have 2 huskies I would like to find a place for. They have been together since they were little. They are currently in a pen out back and it breaks my heart. They are good dogs. Very smart! The male is Ash and his birthday is 9.23.2021 and the female is Luna and her birthday is 4.24.2022. Ash was recently neutered but Luna has not been fixed yet. They need a place to run and be happy and unfortunately at the moment I can't provide that for them due to moving. Even though I would like for them to be adopted together I would consider separating them.

Theo came from the Pickaway County Dog shelter in Circleville, OH - I have no back story on him other than when he was found he had been running with another dog, and people reported seeing him on the run for quite some time. From day one, Theo knew to wait and use the potty outside, no accidents in the house! He is quite timid, and acts like he was maybe once abused...? He just seems to be depressed, and I believe he just misses his dog friend. We are not in a position to have another dog though. Theo also does not want to listen and stay in our yard, he wants to bolt the second he gets the chance. I have tried working with him on commands, and does ok on some and others he just will not obey. I would like to find him a home with a fenced in yard or someone with experience in training a husky type breed. We have a one year old son that he has been with since birth, and I thought they would become the best of friends but everytime our son tries to interact with Theo he moves.
