Story
Aubrey was rescued by a Good Samaritan in Houston Texas when she was abandoned by her previous owner in front of an apartment complex along with her 8 puppies. 5 of her 8 puppies were stolen by passerby. So incredibly heartbreaking. She is extremely friendly and loving. And such a good mom. Her 3 puppies are also at our rescue and looking for good homes now that they are old enough to part from Mom. The only thing with this girl is she knows how to climb. So just having a fenced in yard will not work for this girl. She will have to be put on a very reinforced tie out. Once she has bonded with you she will probably stick to you like glue but important for her new owners to know this about her. She will make an amazing companion. Very special sweet girl.

Story
Navajo ….. this boy is near perfect. No Husky drama. No talking back. He is so easy going. Whatever you throw at him, he just rolls with it. Navajo is a fun, playful, silly boy. He LOVES to be fussed over. He literally eats up all the attention and keeps coming back for more. He is an expert at working the room for pets and ‘ooh what a good boy’s :) :) :) Sometimes, he jumps up so he is up close and personal with you :) He is a level 5 out of 5 for friendliness, sweetness, and affectionateness :) We try to mediate affection time as Navajo can get over stimulated quickly and when he does, he belts out a soft growl and goes for little lovebites. Navajo’s love for life is the same with dogs. He loves every dog. Navajo is 3 years old, 50lb. He is looking for a family who doesn’t mind a little husky fur on their furniture, include him in family adventures and activities and lots of love and cuddles.

Story
Heath is the unicorn of huskies.  Heath is a 4 year old male husky that weighs 51 pounds.  He was found as a stray and no one ever claimed him.  We have never had a husky quite like him.  Heath is the chill-est husky ever known to mankind.  This guy is so gentle and quiet that you don’t know he’s at the shelter.  He kennel is always impeccably clean and spotless.  He sleeps in the funniest positions-sometimes with his head tilted backwards and other times with his head smooshed up against the wall.  He is black and white with the palest blue eyes.  I am pretty sure Lou Reed was writing about Heath in the legendary hit song “Pale Blue Eyes.”  He walks well on leash.  Please keep in mind that Heath may be more active in a home environment but from what he has shown at the shelter, he is one chill good husky. His foster mom is working on getting him housetrained; we have a feeling he may have spent time outside. He loves affection and really only needs a nice comfy bed and some TLC.  He has shown great potential with other dogs.  As always, a meet and greet with your resident canine is required.  Compatibility with cats and children is unknown.  Fenced in yard is recommended.  Heath is available for adoption which includes vaccines and heartworm testing.  He is already neutered and microchipped.  Please email dogadoptions@parmashelter.org and fill out an adoption application online to meet Heath.  Heath’s adoption fee is $160.  Get your applications in, Heath won’t be around long.        Like Parma Animal Shelter on FACEBOOK and help pass the word about our adoptable guests!  Don't forget to share pictures with your friends!  Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/ParmaAnimalShel   Submit an application to adopt on our website parmashelter.org           July 15, 2024, 1:40 pm

Details
Not good with dogs, Not good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Nala is a 7-year old female Akita that is best described by being smarter than most humans. She is very intuitive, playful, loyal and a bit lazy during the day. Shes not one for long hikes, but she loves roaming around a large backyard and being outside! She is spayed, has experience with a groomer and boarding, and will even jump in the bathtub for you to bathe her with no issues. Nala is well socialized, was raised around cats and dogs, and has had a male dog for a companion at one time, however, she is aloof and territorial around other animals and will not be suited in a home with another female dog. She will need time and patience to adjust. Her most ideal home is with an experienced couple looking for an adult dog to keep them company. Please do research on the Akita breed before inquiring. No renters as apartments do not allow Akitas. She is being re-homed due to changes in living situations and being left home too long for work. She needs the attention she deserves.
