Pooh Bear was surrendered to the shelter when his owner could no longer have him. He did live with another dog in the home and did well with them. Pooh Bear does not like cats so a home without cats would be best for him. He did live with an older child and did well with them. He is 5 years old and weighs 58 pounds. Pooh Bear is still very playful and loves to go to the play yard to run! He will need someone that is able to keep him groomed as he does have a double coat that will require regular maintenance to prevent matting. He loves attention! Pooh Bear has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested (negative) and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter. Blitz arrived at the shelter with his sister Raven as strays. He is around 2 years old and weighs in at 60 pounds. Blitz is a fun loving guy that loves to run and play! Potential adopters should have knowledge of the husky breed. Blitz is a lovable, reserved guy that enjoys going to the play yard to run! He does show interest in chasing cats so a home without cats may be best. Blitz would love to find his loving forever home soon! He did test positive for a tick borne disease called Ehrlicia but is currently undergoing treatment for it and doing well. Blitz has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter. Hermes was adopted out several months ago and recently returned when his owners could no longer care for him. He is a little over a year old and has a lot of puppy energy still. He is a sweet guy that will need someone that can work with him on training and is able to provide him with regular exercise! Bishop was actually born here at our shelter in Mississippi after his mom was picked up as a stray. He was adopted out when he was a tiny pup but due to his owner financial and living situations changed, she had to surrender him back to us. This sweet guy is quite laid back and adjusts well to new things. His owner did let us know that Bishop is potty and kennel trained. He gets along well with other dogs, kids, and even cats. He would make a great addition to any family. Bishop is up to date on vaccines, neutered, and is heartworm negative. If you want to know more about him, please contact us here at the Humane Society of South Mississippi. Bishop's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN.
