Story
I have to rehome my puppy. His name is Bear. He is sweet, cuddly, and a big goof ball. He loves to play and is a typical howling husky. He is Siberian husky and great pyranesse mix. He weighs around 100lbs. We had got him as a playmate for our other dogs. We are unable to keep him due to several reasons. He is extremely active, and my husband I have some health issues, and are not able to keep up with him. We have 1/2 acre lot and he still jumps our 4ft fence. We cannot chase after him. I love him to pieces, but this is not fair to him at all. He was born on a farm and loves to run around. I would like to find him a simular home since he has so much energy.

Story
This gorgeous girl is so lucky to be alive! We were driving down a busy four lane highway when we spotted her run across the highway barely missing getting run down by a large box truck. She ran into the parking lot of a Dollar General so we immediately pulled into the parking lot and luckily she ran up to our van and jumped right in! We tried and tried to find her owner but to no avail. It's hard to see in the pics but she has one blue eye and one golden eye. We suspect she had a little Husky in her but we did a DNA anyway, lots and lots of breeds in her DNA, including 5% Chihuahua! She's a super mutt! Clarice is spayed, fully vaccinated, crate trained and microchipped. She is available for immediate transport PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ARE LOCATED IN TENNESSEE AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MEET OUR PETS PRIOR TO ADOPTION! ADOPTION FEE $600

Story
Parker Blue is a very good looking 3 years old Husky/Shepherd mix boy who is approximately 65 pounds and a fun dog to have in your life.  His owner recently died and sadly no one in the family wanted him and now they want him either gone or they will shoot him.  True fact.  He’s very friendly, walks on a lead, good with other dogs, but no cats, birds or rabbits, etc.  Parker Blue has never been around kids under 12 yrs old but was good with the older ones.  This poor boy was shown lots of attention and loved by his person who passed away.  Now he is outside and he used to live inside.  The family is impatient and truly will do harm in a permanent way if he is not gone soon. We can tell his feelings are hurt and he doesn’t understand why he’s on a tie-out and can no longer go in his home or see his dad. How awful that is.  We are pleading for Parker Blue to have a chance to love you and your family.  Critter Cavalry Rescue would greatly appreciate assistance with Parker Blue. Time is running out and he needs to find a temporary foster home or a forever home.   Can you help bring this boy to a safe place?  Please contact  ccrnewengland@gmail.com  if you can assist PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 24, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
My name is Milo and I am a MIRACLE.   I was found as a stray back in January of 2024 and I was near death with starvation and abandonment during the frigid temps of January in Tennessee.  I had a wonderful foster mom named Brenda step up to take me in and feed me, and take care of my medical needs.  She and Critter Cavalry Rescue are now teaming up to get me a wonderful forever home.  I am good with other dogs and I am a charming kind of guy that is only about 2 years old and weighing 50 pounds.  I am a purebred boy but truly that doesn’t matter as much as the fact that I am a great dog.  I will require a fenced yard, a Husky savvy adopter and a house with that fenced yard.  I am NOT an apartment dog.  I talk too much and I need a few hours daily to hang out in a yard alone just to satisfy my Husky “Call of the Wild” nature.  I am pretty much housebroken and crate trained.   I am going to be tested with cats but I am good with nice dogs that don’t get in my face.  I will defend myself if there is a rude dog approaching.       I can walk on a leash pretty well and I am totally healthy and a happy boy.  I am told that I am a “heartbreaker” dog….. and I am ready to break some hearts soon!  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 24, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
Our precious Sophie is a castaway from an owner that has come upon hard times and cannot take care of her.  This sweet girl is obviously underweight from not having the food she needed and now at the shelter she is certainly not getting what she needs either.  Sophie at 4 years of age is needing to be spayed and we are needing a place for her to go after the spay.  She weighs only 28 pounds and we know she should probably be 38-40 lbs in reality.  She is currently in a hard core and small, dirty, shelter in Tennessee and we want her OUT and safe and fostered by someone who cares enough to help her get to her next step forever home.  The photographer that went to the shelter and took these pics, said she was so nice and sweet and very good with other dogs.  She has the look and total feel of a Husky girl that only wants to love you and to be loved right back by her humans.  She was easy going, gentle and friendly for pictures.  We feel that she was probably housebroken since was inside with previous owners.    Take a wonderful chance on a “wonderful” dog.  You won’t regret helping Sophie.    Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 24, 2024, 9:59 pm

Story
Koda originally came to us in January 2023 after she was found as a stray and she was not getting along with the finder's dogs. In the ten months that Koda has been with us, we have seen both the good and bad with her. While we are happy to adopt her out to the right home we would still be open to a rescue taking her into their care so she can continue to work on her behaviors. Koda is very picky about the people she befriends and lets into her space and is available to be visited by those with approved applications only. The kennel environment is stressful for many dogs and unfortunately amplified some of the negatives in Koda's behaviors. While in the kennel or when she is insecure in her environment Koda will guard items that she considers of high-value. In the shelter we have seen that in the form of her toys and her food/water bowls. She does not display these behaviors with staff she has bonded herself to or, generally, when she is away from the other dogs and not in the kennel. Due to these behaviors, any potential adopters will need to have previous experience owning dogs and may be required to visit with Koda more than once before taking her home! Koda cannot go to a home with other dogs, cats or kids. When Koda is comfortable with you, she is a gem of a pup! She LOVES to give kisses and will hop up for hugs and an ear scratch. This two-year-old pup is a huge fan of treats and is always ready for a snack! Koda knows 'sit' and 'leave it' currently. She is an extremely toy and food motivated pup and would love to learn more in her forever home! Her previous adopters did state that she was house-broken and generally a very well-behaved dog outside of her not getting along with their dog. Koda has done fantastic riding in the car for staff and also walks nicely on leash. Stuffed toys or anything that squeaks are her preferred toys to play with while in the yard or hanging out with staff. Koda also enjoys playing in water and would love to go to a home that will let her splash around! Staff knows that with the right home and people, Koda will make a fantastic dog! Koda is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Availability date: 01/04/2024

Nikolai-Husky male, purebred DOB 12-20-17 Contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application Nikolai is looking for a new home with the help of Rescue. Seems Nikolai's owners are divorcing and neither can keep Nikolai in their new living situation. They asked the Rescue to help him find a new home. He's used to living with a family and has been good with other dogs, cats and children. However his prior owners do feel he's happiest with a man in his life, versus family and children. Probably as a single dog, too. They hope to find him this kind of new home. LOVES walks and car rides. Knows basic commands - sit, lay down, wait. He's house trained and crate trained, but not happy in the wire crate. His adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Echo- Husky X female, ~1 yr. (April 2024) Please contact rescuebc@hotmail.com for application. Echo came to Rescue when she wandered into a kind family's yard/rural area. There were reports of her sighting in the area for a while and she finally came for help. She's been a wonderful guest at their house, they say. Good with the dogs and cats. She's even around the cows and no problems. She's very calm and likes to play with their farm dogs. She also has been witness sleeping/snuggling with the cats in the barn in the sunshine. She is learning to trust the new people that she's moved in with. As with any dog of Husky breeding, she will enjoy a fairly active lifestyle. A great walking or hiking partner. Echo's adoption fee is $350 to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Story
ADOPT ME ONLINE: https://ophrescue.org/dogs/13603Introducing Lana, our delightful 2-year-old Husky/Shepherd mix weighing in at 72 pounds. Lana is a social butterfly who adores people, dogs, squeaky toys, car rides, and leisurely walks to explore new scents. She lights up whenever she sees other dogs or any humans who might be comig over to pet her. Her large size can threaten smaller dogs but if you're on a walk and Lana starts to pull the leash because she wants to visit the other dogs, just offer her a scratch on her head, or maybe a treat, and she will usually remember her manners and politely greet the pups she wants to play with. She instantly goes into play mode when other dogs are close by. Sometimes she'll spin in a circle before going into paws down and butt up submissive stance wagging her tail with excitement. She's the epitome of sweetness and affection, craving attention and cuddles from everyone she meets. Rather than be in a crate, she much prefers to hang out on the couch, where she is well behaved and will patiently await her humans' return. This loving pup is a breeze to have around the house, as she settles in well even when her humans are away. Lana is mastering leash manners and loves to show off her tricks, sitting politely and offering her paw with a wagging tail. She even enjoys getting groomed, especially getting dried off and getting brushed. While Lana may get a bit anxious during thunderstorms, she knows just how to find her calm in a quiet spot until the storm passes. She's the perfect combination of couch companion and playful pup, happy to snuggle up with you or entertain herself with her favorite toys.Lana is potty trained and has never had an accident in the house. In fact, she'll let her humans know it's time for a potty break by giving paw, or maybe a whine. She prefers to go out to play or for a potty break every three or four hours but she is fine all night without a break. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Lana will gain a special, spunky, and loving companion who brings joy and laughter to every moment. With Lana by your side, every day is filled with wagging tails, endless cuddles, and boundless love. Are you ready to welcome this charming lady pup into your heart and home?

Story
Clifford. is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. Clifford was dumped on the side of a rural road with a litter of puppies. They were rescued by good Samaritans. Clifford is a super wonderful dog. He is very sweet, gentle, and good-natured. He is super sensitive and scared of mean voices, rough treatment, and dogs that are mean to him. He needs to be treated gently so he will trust you. Once he trusts you or another dog, he is very playful and loves playing. He especially loves puppies and gentle children. Clifford has shown an interest in cats, so he may not be good with them. Clifford is mostly Chow. He weighs around 60 pounds and we estimate he may be around 2 years old. Clifford is crate-trained, knows how to sit, and walks well on a leash. He rides well in a vehicle but is a bit nervous about getting inside the vehicle. Clifford is fabulous with nice children. He is shy with new people (especially men) and takes some time to trust. We are sure he was abused by whoever had him before. Clifford does need work with housetraining (sure he has never been in a house before) and could probably use other gentle obedience training. We want Clifford to be in the house as a loved member of the family. He needs to be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to run and play. Clifford is healthy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Clifford has been treated for heartworms and they are now dead. He is on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Clifford's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Hagerstown MD or Quicksburg VA. Clifford is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please send an email to 2manydogstx@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting this wonderful boy. Story
CHANCE – have you ever seen a more handsome fella? Just a few things about this sweet guy. The vet believes that Chance is between 18mo - 2yrs old and weighs 59lbs. • He is heart worm negative and neutered. •He is super sweet and gentle - wants to cuddle and be near his person. •He is dog-friendly (the foster doesn’t have cats, so we are not certain if he’s cat-friendly) •He is people-friendly to everyone he has met. Foster does not have small children, but he has been fine around children on walks. Due to his size and youth, he might knock down small children, but he is not aggressive. •He is house broken. Even in the rain and snow he has let us know he needs to go out. •He is a little timid to new people at first, but warms up quickly. •He very rarely barks. •He has learned to sit, walk on a leash, and “wait” for his food bowl to be put down. •He is very food motivated, so can be easily trained with treat rewards. He is not reactive when eating. •He can be possessive over certain toys with a low, warning growl if another dog tries to take it from him. •He is not interested in fetching a ball, but loves chew toys and antlers. • He can be very active, but is also happy cuddled up with his person. •He would do great in a house with another dog, but would be fine as an only dog also. Once adopted Chance will travel via private transport (transport cost is $160.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this pretty boy part of your family please follow the link below to our application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
