Story
Hello, I'm ChaseLife hasn't always been easy for me. I've roamed the streets, trying to find my place in this big, confusing world. But now, at two years old, I'm ready to settle down and be the loyal companion I was born to be.I'm a Husky mix, with a spirit as wild as the wind and eyes that shine with curiosity. I love to run, to explore, to feel the earth beneath my paws. But there are a few things you should know about me.Firstly, I'm not a fan of small animals. The fact that I am a husky mix, I have a VERY high pray drive. When my brother and I were caught running, we had killed some chickens and some other smaller farm birds. We didn't set out to do what we did but again, we have a VERY high drive. So if you have small animals like bunnies, birds, small dogs or cats, it is NOT a good idea to adopt a Husky. And as for young kids, well, they might get knocked over by my tail but I do like kids. Their energy is infectious, I would love someone to run and play with. I have so much love to give, to the right person or family. If you're someone who enjoys long walks in the great outdoors then maybe we could be the perfect match.I promise to be your faithful companion, your adventure buddy, your confidant. Together, we can explore the world and create memories that will last a lifetime. So, if you're looking for a furry friend to share your life with, consider giving me a chance. My name is Chase, and I'm ready to find my forever family.

Story
Meet Koda! Koda originally came to us in January 2023 after she was found as a stray and she was not getting along with the finder's dogs. In the ten months that Koda has been with us, we have seen both the good and bad with her. While we are happy to adopt her out to the right home we would still be open to a rescue taking her into their care so she can continue to work on her behaviors. Koda is very picky about the people she befriends and lets into her space and is available to be visited by those with approved applications only. The kennel environment is stressful for many dogs and unfortunately amplified some of the negatives in Koda's behaviors. While in the kennel or when she is insecure in her environment Koda will guard items that she considers of high-value. In the shelter we have seen that in the form of her toys and her food/water bowls. She does not display these behaviors with staff she has bonded herself to or, generally, when she is away from the other dogs and not in the kennel. Due to these behaviors, any potential adopters will need to have previous experience owning dogs and may be required to visit with Koda more than once before taking her home! Koda cannot go to a home with other dogs, cats or kids. When Koda is comfortable with you, she is a gem of a pup! She LOVES to give kisses and will hop up for hugs and an ear scratch. This two-year-old pup is a huge fan of treats and is always ready for a snack! Koda knows 'sit' and 'leave it' currently. She is an extremely toy and food motivated pup and would love to learn more in her forever home! Her previous adopters did state that she was house-broken and generally a very well-behaved dog outside of her not getting along with their dog. Koda has done fantastic riding in the car for staff and also walks nicely on leash. Stuffed toys or anything that squeaks are her preferred toys to play with while in the yard or hanging out with staff. Koda also enjoys playing in water and would love to go to a home that will give her plenty of outdoor adventures! Staff knows that with the right home and people, Koda will make a fantastic dog! Koda is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- HOPE IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW.Meet Hope! Story
Greetings! This handsome husky is Shere, he comes with a lot of love and excitement. Shere has a fondness for escaping any enclosure he`s put in, digging in the cool dirt, and giving as many kisses as he can. Shere has a wonderful personality that is hard to resist. Shere has no problem being around other dogs or children, he does however take issue with cats and chickens...typical husky. Shere is looking for a home where he can receive the love he deserves after being left behind by his original owner. Shere is not afraid to jump and give us a gentle hug. As huskies go, Shere might be the quietest we`ve had! If you are interested in meeting him, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Complete an adoption application online to be pre-approved for adoption. If you do not own your home, bring consent from the property owner to have a dog on the property. As always, if you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption. Adoption fees: 6m and younger $250, 7m-5y $200, 6y-10y $150, 11y and older $100. Watch for adoption specials!!

Story
This wild and wonderfully playful man is Trooper! As a German Shepherd-Husky-Saint Bernard mix, Trooper often faces a crisis of identiy, not knowing what kind of dog he wants to be. He has unmatched energy and desire to play even in this heat! Trooper hasn`t shown much interest in our paw pools for anything besides drinking the water...He loves every toy given to him but is strictly against playing fetch. He simply prefers chasing the scents of animals that have crossed his yard when he isn`t looking. Trooper is looking for a new home where he can run in a fenced yard and learn to settle down a bit. Super Trooper is a man`s best friend until he`s on a leash, he is still working on his manners and etiquette. If you are interested in meeting him, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12p & 2p-5:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Story
Carson came to us from a puppy mill farm that closed down. He lived in a 10x10 run since he was a puppy with little human interaction. He is shy and timid but has learned so much in the little bit of time we have had him. He is a sweet deserving guy that will blossom with a patient family that can introduce him to life outside of a 10x10 run. He is looking for stability and someone to love. He would benefit from living with a female dog companion who can help show him what home life is like.
