Story
Violet came to us from a kill shelter with Diesel who has already been adopted. Violet has been waiting for a year now to find her family. She is so deserving and loving. Violet is a young, bouncy, happy girl, who is ready for family to love her. She could live with another male companion in the home but would also be just as happy being the only dog in the home where she can get all the attention she deserves. Violet is a sweet, affectionate, smaller girl at 60lbs. and approximately a year and a half old. She is looking for a family with a fenced in yard and no small animals please. *********************************** If you are interested in ADOPTING or FOSTERING, please complete an application by cutting & pasting the following link: https://form.jotform.com/60794585351161 Or visit CHAAMP.org to access the Adoption/Foster link and learn about the process. https://www.chaamp.org/adoption-process Your application tells us about your lifestyle and helps us find a potential match for you and your family. Story
Meet Koda! Koda originally came to us in January 2023 after she was found as a stray and she was not getting along with the finder's dogs. In the two years that Koda has been with us, we have seen both the good and bad with her. While we are happy to adopt her out to the right home we would still be open to a rescue taking her into their care so she can continue to work on her behaviors. Koda is very picky about the people she befriends and lets into her space and is available to be visited by those with approved applications only. The kennel environment is stressful for many dogs and unfortunately amplified some of the negatives in Koda's behaviors. While in the kennel or when she is insecure in her environment Koda will guard items that she considers of high-value. In the shelter we have seen that in the form of her toys and her food/water bowls. She does not display these behaviors with staff she has bonded herself to or, generally, when she is away from the other dogs and not in the kennel. Due to these behaviors, any potential adopters will need to have previous experience owning dogs and may be required to visit with Koda more than once before taking her home! Koda cannot go to a home with other dogs, cats or kids. When Koda is comfortable with you, she is a gem of a pup! She LOVES to give kisses and will hop up for hugs and an ear scratch. This four-year-old pup is a huge fan of treats and is always ready for a snack! Koda knows 'sit' and 'leave it' currently. She is an extremely toy and food motivated pup and would love to learn more in her forever home! Koda has done fantastic riding in the car for staff and also walks nicely on leash. Stuffed toys or anything that squeaks are her preferred toys to play with while in the yard or hanging out with staff. Koda also enjoys playing in water and would love to go to a home that will give her plenty of outdoor adventures! Staff knows that with the right home and people, Koda will make a fantastic dog! Koda is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Story
Haha is a bright and lovable 6-year-old Husky with a heart as big as his playful spirit. He was sadly surrendered by his original family due to allergies in the home, but he’s ready to start his next chapter with someone who will appreciate his charm and intelligence.Haha is curious, well-behaved, and incredibly smart. He even communicates his needs — he’ll give a polite bark to let you know when it’s time for a potty break. With his friendly personality and happy energy, he’s quick to make friends and always ready for fun.If you are interested in meeting Haha, please visit the shelter during our open hours; Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri 10a-12:30p & 2p-4p, Thurs 10a-12:30p & 2p-6:30p, and Saturday 9a-1p. Adoption application can be filled out and approved during your meet-and-greet. If you have another dog in the home, plan to bring them for a meet before you complete the adoption!

Story
Blitz arrived at the shelter with his sister Raven as strays. He is around 2 years old and weighs in at 60 pounds. Blitz is a fun loving guy that loves to run and play! Potential adopters should have knowledge of the husky breed. Blitz is a lovable, reserved guy that enjoys going to the play yard to run! He does show interest in chasing cats so a home without cats may be best. Blitz would love to find his loving forever home soon! He did test positive for a tick borne disease called Ehrlicia but is currently undergoing treatment for it and doing well. Blitz has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, Heartworm/lyme tested, and microchipped since his arrival at the shelter. Story
Carson came to us from a puppy mill farm that closed down. He lived in a 10x10 run since he was a puppy with little human interaction. He is shy and timid but has learned so much in the little bit of time we have had him. He is a sweet deserving guy that will blossom with a patient family that can introduce him to life outside of a 10x10 run. He is looking for stability and someone to love. He would benefit from living with a female dog companion who can help show him what home life is like.
