Our old, perfect, classy lady Daisy. Daisy is a 7-year-old mix who weighs approximately 40 lbs and is the sweetest girl. You wouldn’t know she was 7 years old, as she is a puppy by heart. With Daisy you get a cuddling, loving older dog demeanor with the playfulness and happiness of a puppy. And almost no training necessary! Daisy is house and crate trained. Daisy gets along great with other dogs and would do wonderful in a home with another dog to keep her company. She absolutely loves people and is the first one to greet anyone that is coming through the door or gate. Daisy was found roaming the streets of south Texas by Mexico; She was super skinny and you could just see the defeated look in her face. Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw her and couldn’t just turn away from her. She has been in the care of a sanctuary for 6 months now. She is a very relaxed dog. She just wants to lay out in the sun, play a little bit, relax and just hang out. Daisy would do great in a home that is a bit more relaxed and wants a dog that is very casual but VERY loving. She does great on car rides! Her favorite thing to eat are hot dogs. The foster says one of her favorite things about Daisy is that she doesn’t destroy toys, so all toys survive around Daisy, SO FAR. She doesn’t really know commands, but she loves to follow you around, and just wants to find her perfect humans. Please consider giving old lady Daisy a chance at her forever home. Daisy is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. 🐾 MEET KODIAK & YUKON — TWO BEAUTIFUL HUSKY BOYS LOOKING FOR THEIR FOREVER HOMES 🐾 Kodiak and Yukon are 2.5-year-old male Huskies, weighing approximately 50 lbs each. ❤️ And despite everything they have been through, these boys are still incredibly loving, happy and trusting. 💔 Their Story Kodiak and Yukon once had a home. They had a family, warm beds, proper food and people to love. Then their family moved — and simply left them behind. No food. No water. Just two dogs left in the Texas heat. For months, the boys remained at the property while kind neighbors provided them with food and water. But they were losing weight, losing their coats, and were covered in fleas and ticks. Eventually, animal control picked them up and they were taken to a high-kill shelter, where they were given the minimum 72-hour hold before euthanasia. Someone brought them to our attention, and thankfully, we were able to tag them and get them out the day before they were scheduled to die. 🙏❤️ They came into our care in early August and have been flourishing in their South Texas foster homes ever since. Their weight is slowly returning, their beautiful coats are growing back, and they have received the veterinary care they desperately needed. These boys are getting healthier and more handsome every day — and now they're ready for forever. 🐾 IMPORTANT: THEY ARE NOT BONDED Kodiak and Yukon do not need to be adopted together. They are both wonderful dogs who can thrive as the only dog in a home or alongside another compatible dog. ❤️ BOTH BOYS Both Kodiak and Yukon absolutely adore people. They love attention, affection and being petted. They will happily cuddle up beside you and nap for hours. There are cats in their foster home, and both boys can walk calmly past them on leash without showing interest. If you're sitting on the couch, don't be surprised if Kodiak decides that your lap — or even your entire body — is the perfect place to curl up. 😂❤️ He's incredibly affectionate and loves being close to his humans. Kodiak is crate trained and will paw at the kennel door when he needs to go outside. He's house trained and will go to the door when he needs to potty. And those ice-blue eyes! 🩵 When you look into Kodiak's eyes, you can see how happy he is to finally be safe. He's also a very intelligent boy who learns quickly. His ideal home would be with someone who has time to spend with him, enjoys walks and playtime, and preferably has a fenced yard where he can safely explore. Another dog to play with would be wonderful, but he would also be happy as your one-and-only. Kodiak is active, but he's more laid-back than his brother Yukon. ________________________________________ 🖤 YUKON Yukon is the more black-and-white of the brothers, and this boy is ready for ADVENTURE! 🏔️🐾 Yukon is active, athletic and loves to run and play. He has the cutest zoomies and would make an incredible hiking, running or adventure buddy. But once he's finished burning off that energy, Yukon comes looking for his human so he can get some love and affection. ❤️ He's leash trained and incredibly smart — he learns quickly. Yukon is crate trained and will howl and paw at the kennel door when he needs to go outside. He's house trained and will go to the door and paw at the floor when he needs to potty. His eyes are absolutely gorgeous. He has a slightly mischievous look that makes you think he's plotting something — but he's really just a sweet, happy boy. 😍 Yukon stands out for his intelligence, athleticism and playful personality. His perfect home would be with someone who wants an active companion and has time for walks, runs, adventures and lots of playtime. Another playful dog would be fantastic, whether that's a dog in the home, neighborhood friends or doggy daycare.
