This is August, a friendly husky mix who is ready to find herself a new family! August is 3 years old, weighs 47 lbs., and was surrendered to PK after a family member became allergic to her. August is friendly and outgoing. She gets along with small dogs, some bigger dogs (she’s a bit more selective with larger breeds), and has spent time around children of all ages. She can be cat-tested if requested. August walks well on a leash, is house- and crate-trained, and knows multiple commands. Meet Sassy! Her name is a bit misleading because this girl is just downright sweet. Sassy is a 2-year-old, 51-pound, female husky who was surrendered to PK when her owners felt they could no longer meet her needs. Sassy is very gentle pup who is housetrained and knows a few commands. She was a good girl when left home alone. The big thing you need to know about Sassy is that she is an expert-level escape artist, and she loves to run! She escaped her prior owner’s fenced yard on many occasions. She will need a fully enclosed, secure yard with at least a 6-foot-high fence and an owner who is willing to always monitor when she is in the yard; or she will need to be taken out on a leash only. Anyone living with her will need to be extremely careful (e.g., not leaving doors or gates open). Sassy gets along with other dogs but has no experience with cats (we can cat-test her if requested).
