Meet Davis! Davis has come such a long way from his rough beginnings. Found living outside on a chain with little human interaction, he was shy and unsure of the world. With patience and love from his foster family, Davis has blossomed into a happy, playful pup with a quirky personality and the most mesmerizing ice-blue eyes.This medium-energy boy loves romping and wrestling with his dog siblings—he’s learned so much about how to be a dog from them! Because of this, Davis would thrive in a home with other well-socialized dogs to keep teaching him and to share in playtime. He also needs a securely fenced yard where he can run, chase, and play to his heart’s content.Davis is housetrained, crate trained, and travels well in the car (though he’s still getting used to it). On leash, he can be a little timid in new situations, but he walks politely and is gaining confidence every day. He doesn’t have a history with children, and he will need a cat-free home as he shows prey drive toward small animals.While Davis is much braver than when he was first rescued, he’s still easily startled by loud noises or quick movements—so he’ll need a patient, understanding family who will give him time to adjust.
