Story
Meet Baloo! Baloo is a 3-year-old shepherd/husky mix with a playful, affectionate personality and a love for adventure. He’s an easygoing, social dog who has successfully lived with both dogs and cats and loves making new dog friends. His previous caretaker described him as generally submissive and very friendly with people. Baloo is crate trained but has been trustworthy free roaming the home without destructive behavior or accidents. He knows “sit,” “paw,” and “down,” enjoys food and toys, and loves outdoor activities like walks, car rides, and swimming. He especially enjoys tough chew toys and playing with other dogs. Because of his goofy excitement, Baloo would likely do best with children 5+. He has no history of aggression or bites and has reportedly always done well for grooming and veterinary handling. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who’s always ready for an adventure or a cuddle, Baloo may be your guy! Apply to adopt today, and/or email dogs@rispca.org with any questions! 🐾

Story
Meet Simon — a gorgeous Husky puppy with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life! This handsome boy is full of playful energy and is always ready for his next adventure. Whether it’s going for walks, chasing balls, exploring the outdoors, or romping around with other dogs, Simon is happiest when he’s on the move. Simon is great with other dogs and has done well with the cat in his foster home too. He’s currently working hard on house training and doing very well! While crates aren’t really his favorite thing, he’s not destructive… unless you leave a flip flop within reach — those are simply too tempting for this playful pup! Simon would thrive with an active family who can keep up with his fun-loving spirit and continue helping him learn and grow. A fenced yard is a must for this energetic boy so he has plenty of room to run, play, and burn off that Husky energy. If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy with puppy charm for days, Simon may just be your perfect match! Story
Thank you for your interest in adopting Ella! Ella lives in Alabama, Foster Home and will transport North when she is adopted. We strive to make every Adoption as smooth and easy as possible. We have been adopting dogs to families in New England for over 15 years. Ella is 3 1/2 years old. She weighs about 63 pounds. She lives in a Foster Home with a working couple and other dogs. She lives with cats, but does not interact with them. Foster Mom thinks she would chase and most of her cats are rescued ferals. Ella is an active dog. She enjoys her walks and weekend hikes with her Foster Mom. We would require a fenced yard for her because she is an active dog. She has not lived with children that we are aware of so we prefer a home with either no children or teenagers. Foster mom said she enjoys going to the dog park too. We look forward to putting you in touch with our Foster family. Ella is spayed, rabies, up-to-date on vaccines, microchip, dewormed, and receiving monthly parasite prevention. $585 total Adoption fee $345 to the Rescue $175 Transport, we don't own the van $65 Vet check and health certificate Serious Adopters should fill out the application online and we will be in touch with you ASAP. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Truffle is a 4-year-old love bug with the sweetest soul and the kind of face you’ll fall for instantly—just one look into those eyes and you’re hooked! This beautiful girl is all about connection, affection, and being close to her people. She can be a little shy at first, but give her a moment and some gentle reassurance, and you’ll quickly see her warm, loving personality shine through. Once she feels comfortable, Truffle truly blossoms and becomes an affectionate, devoted companion. She would absolutely love a home with a yard where she can roll around in the grass, soak up the sunshine, and happily chew on a bone during a relaxing afternoon. It’s her idea of pure bliss! At 4 years old, she’s the perfect balance of playful and settled—past the puppy chaos but still full of life and love to give. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend who will shower you with affection and be your constant companion, Truffle is your girl. Thank you for checking out our wonderful orphans. We try to post videos for each pet so you can really get to know them. Story
Meet Jackie — a highly social husky-mix puppy who’s pretty sure everyone wants to be her best friend. She’s the epitome of a social butterfly!  Jackie loves going for her morning walk and greets everyone she meets like she’s known them forever.  She looks so confused when anyone ignores her sweet tail wags.  Jackie’s breed results revealed she is 58 percent husky. Her other half is a mix of small percentages of seven other breeds: German shepherd, chow chow, Alaskan malamute, cattle dog, Labrador retriever, pit bull and boxer. As of early May, Jackie is about four months old and weighs 18 pounds. Her breed results predicted her full-grown weight could be anywhere from 40 to 66 lbs, but she is likely to be on the lower end of that range.  Jackie is highly intelligent and has been potty trained since she was 9 weeks old. She has never had an accident in her foster home. She’s very treat motivated and is an expert at “sit” and “down.” After some work in her foster home, Jackie is now fully crate trained and sleeps quietly in her crate throughout the night. No more husky whining before bedtime!  Jackie is super playful and adores other dogs. She would do best in a home with another dog who also loves to play. She also is an active dog who loves her morning walk, so a forever home that regularly walks their dogs is a must. Jackie loves seeing the world, smelling all the new smells and charming all the new people she passes.  Apply today if you can provide sweet and social Jackie the perfect forever home.
