Story
Meet the most affectionate, playful, and curious puppies, siblings Erian, Evan, and Elysia. These babies are your typical pups that thoroughly enjoy playtime, full bellies, and lots of love. These precious ones had a heartbreaking start to life. They were found huddled together in the middle of a quiet country road, so small they were first mistaken for fallen branches and leaves. At just around six weeks old, they were covered in fleas and ticks and were desperately hungry. Thankfully, they were rescued just in time and are now safe, warm, and thriving in foster care. They start each morning with food, outdoor play, and soak up plenty of snuggles throughout the day. Because they are so young, they are highly adaptable. A household with children and/or other dogs would be a wonderful fit, as they love to play and would benefit from having companions to grow up with. Most of all, they’re looking for safe, loving family who will be dedicated to giving them immediate proper puppy training to set them up for success, support socialization, and build a strong bond with their new people. If you’re ready for all that puppy life brings, these cuties are waiting!Name: Erian Breed: Husky/ShepherdSex: Female Age: 11 weeksWeight: 13lbSpayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. All vaccinations required after adoption are the responsibility of the adopter.Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not usuallyMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:  Mississippi Puppy Adoption Fee:  $500.00 (includes a spay/neuter surgery rebate to be paid to the adopter when proof of spay/neuter is provided to Paws New England). We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Toby!Toby is ready for his next big journey, Toby is a fun-loving, adventure-seeking husky with a zest for life. Like many huskies, he’s curious, energetic, and happiest when he’s out exploring the world with his people.Toby is friendly and gentle, and does great with other dogs—he’d love a canine companion or regular playdates. He walks well on a leash, travels nicely, is house-trained, and crate trained, making him a wonderful companion both at home and on the go. Whether it’s walks, hikes, car rides, patio hangouts, or new sniffing adventures, Toby is always ready to join in.Cats, however, are a no-go for Toby. He’s genuinely terrified of them, likely due to a past experience, so a cat-free home is needed.Toby’s history includes living in a busy home with multiple children. Unfortunately, he’s also an escape artist—he cannot be left unattended in a yard, as he will find his own adventure. Because of this, he’s looking for a home where he’s truly included in daily life rather than left outside alone. An active individual or family who understands the husky lifestyle and wants to make Toby part of their adventures. He needs both physical exercise and mental stimulation to thrive—and in return, he’ll reward you with loyalty, joy, and an infectious enthusiasm for life.Toby is ready to find a home that will embrace his spirit and keep him safely by their side on every adventure.Name: TobyBreed: HuskySex: MaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 55lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over age 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    New EnglandIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England. Story
🐾 Meet South 🐾 Born: July 2025 South is a sweet, intelligent boy with a loving heart and a thoughtful soul. Like his brother, South was abandoned once he became “too big” and inconvenient — yet he still seeks affection and connection, proving just how loving he truly is. South is doing beautifully in doggy daycare and has made great progress learning leash skills and basic structure. While he has a playful, energetic puppy side, he’s a touch more laid-back than North and balances activity with cuddle time. He’s eager to learn, rides well, and is expected to be a medium-sized dog once grown. South would make a wonderful family companion or adventure buddy for someone who wants a smart, affectionate dog to grow alongside. He’s transitioning from puppyhood into adolescence and would love to experience that milestone in a home where he’s cherished, guided, and truly part of the family. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
🐾 Meet North 🐾 Born: July 2025 North is a bright, energetic boy who is just stepping into his teenage phase and ready to take on the world with a real family by his side. He and his brother were heartbreakingly tossed aside like litter once they were no longer tiny and convenient, but it’s clear these pups once knew love — and they crave it deeply. North came into rescue without leash manners or structure, but don’t let that fool you — this boy is smart. With consistency and positive guidance, he’s already doing wonderfully on leash and thriving in doggy daycare. He’s the more energetic of the two brothers and would be a fantastic match for an active family or individual who enjoys walks, adventures, and mental enrichment. He rides well in the car, loves attention, and is expected to grow into a medium-sized dog. North would shine in a home ready to continue his training and help guide him through this fun (and sometimes goofy) teenage stage. In return, you’ll get a loyal, affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to belong.
