Hi, I’m Casper! I’m a 1-year-old husky with a friendly, playful personality and plenty of that classic husky charm. I came from a home with kids and have also been friendly with the other dogs I’ve met here at the shelter. I’m looking for a forever family that will keep me active, loved, and most importantly, safe. I am a bit of an escape artist, so my future home will need to be secure and ready for my adventurous side. If you’re looking for a fun new best friend, I might be your guy!

Location: Rhode Island.Mocha is an AKC-registered six-month-old female Siberian Husky with limited registration. She is potty trained, knows basic commands, never barks, and is very food-motivated—not picky at all. She loves interactive play, especially tugging and dragging toys.Mocha is energetic and becomes very excited when meeting strangers, so she must remain leashed outdoors and may jump when greeting people. She is not aggressive, but because she has chased our cat, we recommend a cat-free home. She needs an active, responsible family ready to take a young, high-energy dog.Mocha is up to date on all vaccinations but is not spayed or microchipped. We are rehoming her because family situation makes it difficult to provide the activity and attention she deserves. The adopter must agree not to breed her and to comply with any requirements in the original breeder contract. We can provide crate, one-month food and cleaning supplies and various snacks for rehoming.

Meet Rio! This strikingly handsome boy is just about as sweet as he is soft, he’s practically a squishy, life sized, and huggable stuffed animal. Not that you should hug him the second you meet him, that’s not any dog’s idea of a polite greeting, but other than a few “what the heck is this person doing” looks he’d probably let you get away with the faux pas. And we totally get why you would want to hug him and we ourselves indulge us daily snuggle sessions with Rio to hit our daily oxytocin goals. Rio is a friendly, confident, and well-socialized dog who likes making new friends, both dog and humans, and in his down time he tends to be a bit of a lap dog. He is still a husky which means he’s got plenty of energy for walks, zoomies, splashing in water, and romping about with toys, but at the end of the day he’ll be content to snuggle up next to you in bed. Rio has previously done well with children and other well-matched dogs but he finds cats fun to chase. He’s never injured a cat before but if he were to live with a cat in the future he would require supervision and boundaries to ensure that everyone remains safe and comfortable in the home. **if you are interested in adopting, please complete an adopter's profile at parl.org and come in during our open hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 12-4)**

Needs big yard in room to run he’s not fitted for the city. He’s great with one and two-year-olds and somewhat gets along with cats. He just needs a good home where he can play. He has accidents in the house, even though we try to keep them on the schedule because his previous owner as a puppy did not train him right he was kept in a pen almost 24 hours a day since I’ve had him for a year and a half he has learned to obey somewhat. He sleeps good. He sleeps in the house. He’s not in the crate. He’s a wonderful dog, but I just don’t have the energy. I’m 77. My husband is 73. He was my granddaughter‘s dog who lived with us like to find him a really good home.

Acquired Sadie from an elderly couple when she was 6 months old. I took her knowing they weren’t going to be able to give her what she needed. I’ve had her for 12 months training her. She can sit and heal. Does not bark, howl or talk. She’s a quiet dog and will notify you if she has to go out or is hungry. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment so any exercise is walks and dog park. She is playful for sure, good with kids and other dogs. I’ll be traveling more for work and eventually be moving. If you have a backyard, she would love it. If you have little ones, she has a goofy side. …and of course she’s gorgeous.

Mocha is a sweet, loving 7-year-old Husky who has been a very special part of my family. She is a wonderful dog with a sassy personality and a lot of love to give. Since having my baby, my life has changed tremendously, and unfortunately I no longer have the time and attention that Mocha deserves. This is an incredibly difficult decision because I love her very much, but I want to do what is best for her. Mocha deserves a home where she can receive plenty of love, attention, exercise, and companionship. She is a sweet girl who would make a wonderful addition to the right family. I am looking for someone who will truly love and care for her and treat her like family. This decision is not because Mocha is a bad dog—in fact, it is the opposite. I want to make sure she has the time, attention, and happy life that she deserves.
