Story
Meet Blue! 💙🐾 Blue is an absolutely stunning 11-month-old Husky with one icy blue eye and one warm brown — the kind of gaze that stops you in your tracks. His coat is thick, soft, and perfectly marked, and that smile? Completely contagious. He’s sweet, funny, and full of personality. Blue “talks” to you in that classic Husky way and has a goofy, playful charm that will keep you laughing. He’s super smart and picks up on new things quickly — crate trained, housebroken, and eager to please. Blue has a healthy amount of energy and would thrive with an active family who can give him some daily exercise or outdoor adventures. He’s friendly and does great with kids and other dogs, but would do best in a cat-free home since his instincts may lead him to chase them. Neutered, fully vaccinated, and ready for his forever home — Blue is more than just gorgeous; he’s the whole package. ❤️ RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the New England area and delivered in RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. To get a application please go to: saveapreciouspaw@gmail.com

Story
❄️Lobo❄️ This handsome guy is Lobo ❤️ He is a gorgeous white Husky with piercing blue eyes. Lobo is a total sweetheart but he is a typical Husky who needs an experienced owner and a sturdy fence. Lobo is a big, strong boy who loves playing outside but also also enjoys being a couch potato and watching tv while he enjoys a good chew bone. Lobo is doing well with his house training and is good in his secure crate. He is fine with other dogs with proper introductions and loves every person he meets. He can still get a bit excited when meeting new people and may need to be reminded of how big he is. Lobo would be best as a companion dog where he can go on fun hikes and walks or runs where he can got out his Husky energy. He would be fine with older children but might be a bit to rambunctious for young children. If this boy sounds like the perfect fit for your lifestyle, please submit an application. Lobo can’t wait to meet his forever family and start his new life. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Once an application is received, our team is happy to answer all of your questions and send additional pictures and videos. Thank you for thinking rescue!

Story
Adam is a 7 year old, male, Husky mixed breed. His face tells a story before he ever makes a sound. The scars across his muzzle hint at a rough life as a stray down South, yet his eyes are gentle and full of hope, and his tail still manages a soft wag whenever someone says hi to him. A medical workup is currently underway as we evaluate a possible leg fracture, and we expect to know more soon. None of this has dampened his spirit. He leans in for comfort, enjoys being near people, and seems genuinely grateful for every bit of kindness he receives. Staff and volunteers have fallen for him quickly, moved by his resilience and the softness beneath his weathered exterior. Adam’s past may have been difficult, but his heart remains wide open. He is ready for love, comfort, and a home that will treasure the gentle dog he has always been. Story
Meet Toby!Toby is ready for his next big journey, Toby is a fun-loving, adventure-seeking husky with a zest for life. Like many huskies, he’s curious, energetic, and happiest when he’s out exploring the world with his people.Toby is friendly and gentle, and does great with other dogs—he’d love a canine companion or regular playdates. He walks well on a leash, travels nicely, is house-trained, and crate trained, making him a wonderful companion both at home and on the go. Whether it’s walks, hikes, car rides, patio hangouts, or new sniffing adventures, Toby is always ready to join in.Cats, however, are a no-go for Toby. He’s genuinely terrified of them, likely due to a past experience, so a cat-free home is needed.Toby’s history includes living in a busy home with multiple children. Unfortunately, he’s also an escape artist—he cannot be left unattended in a yard, as he will find his own adventure. Because of this, he’s looking for a home where he’s truly included in daily life rather than left outside alone. An active individual or family who understands the husky lifestyle and wants to make Toby part of their adventures. He needs both physical exercise and mental stimulation to thrive—and in return, he’ll reward you with loyalty, joy, and an infectious enthusiasm for life.Toby is ready to find a home that will embrace his spirit and keep him safely by their side on every adventure.Name: TobyBreed: HuskySex: MaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 55lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS: Good with Children: Over age 5Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: NoAdoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:    Tennessee IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet the most affectionate, playful, and curious puppies, siblings Erian, Evan, and Elysia. These babies are your typical pups that thoroughly enjoy playtime, full bellies, and lots of love. These precious ones had a heartbreaking start to life. They were found huddled together in the middle of a quiet country road, so small they were first mistaken for fallen branches and leaves. At just around six weeks old, they were covered in fleas and ticks and were desperately hungry. Thankfully, they were rescued just in time and are now safe, warm, and thriving in foster care. They start each morning with food, outdoor play, and soak up plenty of snuggles throughout the day. Because they are so young, they are highly adaptable. A household with children and/or other dogs would be a wonderful fit, as they love to play and would benefit from having companions to grow up with. Most of all, they’re looking for safe, loving family who will be dedicated to giving them immediate proper puppy training to set them up for success, support socialization, and build a strong bond with their new people. If you’re ready for all that puppy life brings, these cuties are waiting!Name: ElysiaBreed: Husky/ShepherdSex:  FemaleAge: 11 weeksWeight: 5.0Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Story
What a handsome boy Foster is! He’s a 2.5 year old husky mix, weighing about 50 lbs. Foster’s an active pup who enjoys playing with his toys and the great outdoors, where he loves laying around and chasing birds, even in cold weather. He’s not much of a fetch guy and prefers playing independently with his toys. He’s great on walks and stays right by your side, without any pulling. He doesn’t bark at other people or dogs on walks, but hold tight if he sees birds or other small critters, as he loves chasing them! While foster enjoys playing with other dogs, he’d prefer to be the only pet in a calm adult home with grown children. He wants all the love and attention for himself and does not like to share, especially his food with other dogs. He is a bit anxious in the car and when going to new places, but really enjoys adventures, once familiar with the place. Foster is a big cuddler, especially at the end of the day when everyone’s home, settled, and relaxing together watching TV.  He wants to be right there with you and will follow you everywhere! He likes knowing everyone is safe, as he feels it’s his job to protect his people. Foster is house and crate trained, up to date, neutered and microchipped.     January 7, 2026, 5:23 pm
