Story
Say hello to Paris! This vibrant girl is the absolute life of the party, and she’s looking for a family that can keep up with her playful spirit. She was brought to a shelter in MS months ago and never claimed. She was immediately ready to charm everyone she met! With her medium-high energy level, she loves to jump around and play, so she’ll need someone who can provide plenty of exercise and engagement. When it comes to other dogs, Paris is overly playful and wants to jump, bounce, and stay engaged. She would do best with a canine companion who tolerates and enjoys active play and can keep up with her fun-loving energy. While her leash manners could use some work, she wants to please, so will listen and learn. Paris is truly a sweetheart who deserves a loving home. She is ready to bring joy to your life. If you’re ready for a fun-loving companion, Paris is waiting to steal your heart!Name: ParisBreed: Husky MixSex: FemaleAge: 3 years  (estimated)Weight: 48.0Spayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testingMicrochipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: UnknownGood with Dogs: SelectiveGood with Cats: Unknown, but probably not due to her level of excitability.Adoption Fee: $550.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  MississippiIMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue; our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south & New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Sparrow isn’t looking for just any home — he’s looking for his person. Sparrow is the kind of dog who values his space and likes to move at his own pace. He’s not the type to instantly jump into your lap or trust right away, and that’s okay. The people who connect best with Sparrow will understand that trust is earned, boundaries matter, and relationships take time. His perfect days are spent outside exploring, enjoying fresh air, long walks, and taking in nature. A large yard, wooded property, or even a farm setting would be a dream for him. (On those extra hot summer days though, Sparrow absolutely appreciates coming inside to cool down and relax.) Sparrow will need multiple meet-and-greets and patience while building trust with his future family. Once he feels safe, he shows more of who he truly is — but he needs someone willing to let him get there in his own time. Because Sparrow prefers predictability and respecting personal space, a home without small children and ideally without other pets may be in his best interest. He isn’t for everyone — but for the right person, Sparrow may become the most rewarding connection. If you believe in earning trust, slow moments, and adventure together… Sparrow might be waiting for you. ❤️

Story
Some dogs burst into a room and instantly steal the spotlight… and some quietly stand back, watch, and wait until they know they’re safe. Our husky is one of those dogs. This beautiful pup is looking for a patient, understanding home that will let them move at their own pace. Shelter life can feel overwhelming, and while they may come across as nervous or unsure at first, underneath it all is a gentle dog who wants connection—they just need time to trust. Once comfortable, you’ll start to see little glimpses of their personality come through: curious looks, quiet companionship, exploring outside, and those classic husky moments that remind you there’s a playful heart in there. This isn’t a dog looking for perfection—just someone willing to say, “It’s okay, I’ll give you time.” Slow introductions, routine, and patience will go a long way in helping this pup feel safe and confident. A calmer home may be the best fit while they continue building confidence. Experience with shy or nervous dogs is a plus, but the biggest requirement is kindness and understanding. If you believe the best relationships are the ones built slowly and with trust, this husky may just be waiting for you. 🐺🤍
