Story
Simba is a 1 year old husky mix, ready to find his forever home! With one striking blue eye and a gentle demeanor, this handsome boy has a big heart! He’s a great mix of playful and snuggly—perfect for anyone looking for a loving, loyal companion.Simba is currently in a foster home where he’s been showing off his friendly personality. He lives with 7 other dogs ranging from 30lbs and up. He’s great with younger, playful dogs and has a lot of energy to burn. Though he can be a bit too much for older dogs at times, he’s learning boundaries and responds well when corrected. While he’s not a fan of the crate yet, Simba is housebroken and is doing well with his leash training. He is happy to stay home alone uncrated with his other doggie friends, but we think he would need some time to adjust as the only dog being left alone. He’s definitely smart and will thrive with continued training. This sweet boy loves being around people, especially kids! His foster family includes an 8-year-old girl, and Simba has been so gentle and loving with her. He’s also fantastic in the car—he recently laid in his young foster sister’s lap during a long drive.Simba loves to be wherever you are and will do his best to stick close. He'd love to be your shadow! If you’re looking for a fun, energetic, and loving companion, Simba might be your perfect match!Check out this boy in action:https://youtube.com/shorts/y8wUeP33NtM?si=xhMS6PqWHoERopZUName: SimbaBreed: Husky/Labrador RetrieverSex: MaleAge: 1 year (Estimated DOB - Feb 2024)Weight: 72lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesVaccinations: Up to dateHeartworm: Negative on recent testing Microchipped: YesBASED ON OUR OBSERVATIONS:Good with Children: 5+Good with Dogs: YesGood with Cats: UnknownAdoption Fee: $500.00  (includes transport fee when applicable)Location of dog currently:  Memphis  TN IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England.  Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. Story
Meet Jimmy – The Fine Southern Gentleman (but now in New England)!Jimmy’s journey to New England has been nothing short of a miracle. Alongside his sibling, Rosalyn, Jimmy started life in the toughest way possible—just 9 weeks old, covered in ticks, starving, and fighting off parasites when they wandered up to a barn in February. But thanks to the quick actions of PNE, Jimmy’s story took a turn for the better. After an urgent vet stay to treat their tick-borne illnesses, Jimmy and Rosalyn moved into a loving foster home where they continued to fight for their futures. You would never guess his history, though, because Jimmy is a typical puppy – full of energy, curiosity, and a love for playtime. He has a strong sense of adventure and loves exploring outside. Whether he’s running around with his foster siblings or curling up for a nap after all that excitement, he’s sure to keep you entertained and on your toes. He’s doing great with potty training, having minimal accidents, and is quick to take cues from the resident big dogs in his foster home. This social boy is not nervous at all and loves everyone he meets. His first week in New England was filled with fun adventures, including making his debut at a school baseball game, where his infectious energy won over everyone he encountered. Jimmy is currently living with other dogs and kids ages 11 and 13, and he’s adjusting wonderfully to his new environment.Check out these two precious babies in action:https://youtube.com/shorts/GKBzD9CByqM?si=5C6hLDpwpsg8_hvkName: JimmyBreed: Siberian Husky/CrossbreedSex: MaleAge: 5 months of age on 4/21/2025Weight: 33lbs as of 5/2/25Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS:  You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience.  This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact.  PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue.
