Story
Trace is beautiful, very sweet  husky who was found as a stray in a park called the Natchez Trace in northern Mississippi. Trace has settled in well at the rescue, she gets along with all the dog and has shown no aggression, she is friendly and loving. The vet estimates she is around 2 years old.    When she meets new people, Trace’s tail wags. if you are looking for a cuddle, she will curl right into your lap! She loves to run and play, she would love another dog for company and to romp with.     Like any husky Trace needs a family willing to give her the exercise and structure that she needs, ideally she her adopter would have experience with Huskies.      Trace has not been around any cats at the rescue so we can’t be sure how she would react. She does get along fine with dogs and his friendly to anybody that she has met.    Trace  has been spayed, she’s heartworm negative and current on vaccinations. She is ready to make a wonderful family member.  Wags is a struggling 501(c) 3 where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 200 homeless and stray dogs. Adoption donations are the only source of funding for the rescue. Adoption fee includes the transport from Mississippi, vaccines, microchip and spay and neuter. Most of our dogs are in Mississippi and come up by Transport, dogs are listed along the Transport route or in an area where we may have volunteers who can help transport the dogs. We do have some of our dogs in foster homes in the northeast, we always need foster homes. Story
adoption donation : $650 weight 35 lbs Age 5 months as of 4/20   Helena and her sisters Harriet and Hattie are adorable puppies who may be husky mixes but are most definitely adorable, friendly and sweet girls! They are having a grand time in his foster home, romping and playing at Wags and snuggling together in a big puppy pile to nap. Harriet and Helena look practically identical, Hattie is the blond. Their brother Henry has already been adopted.  The puppies were found by a truck driver in a rural part of Mississippi, abandoned in a deserted field. Two of the siblings had already sadly passed away. The driver gathered up the remaining pups and brought them to Wags. Since then, the three girls have thrived, getting the vet care, food and vaccines that they need. They are friendly and loving and will make great family dogs. They are also very mellow! They like to run and play outside but at home they are couch potatoes!  Hattie, Helena and Harriet are currently in Mississippi and would love to board the transport anytime in the next couple of weeks and head to the northeast! These darling girls are ready to give sloppy kisses to the lucky family who adopts him. Story
Meet Sasha Mama, the stunning husky with a heart as big as her beautiful eyes! This sweet, loving girl has been through so much, yet her spirit remains bright and full of love. Dumped with her puppies on Christmas Eve, Sasha was rescued just in time by one of our amazing southern fosters. She was an incredible mom, nurturing and caring for her pups until they all found their forever homes. Now, it’s her turn to find the love she so truly deserves!Sasha is the perfect companion for families with children aged 8 and older. She’s playful, affectionate, and has an exuberant personality that matches her high energy. Whether she’s enjoying with her favorite toys, playing with you, or going for walks, she will keep your heart full and your home lively. And Mama has the typical husky vocalization that will surely keep you entertained. She is crate trained and leash savvy, She has never been unattended while in the home and outside of the crate but has not had an accident. Sasha is easy to handle on walks and enjoys occasional car trips. However, Sasha is protective of her food, so she does need to be fed separately to ensure peace and happiness at mealtime. She plays with other dogs at her foster home, and while never aggressive ,she does show dominance at times. She plays best with submissive dogs.If you’re looking for a loving, energetic husky with a zest for life, Sasha Mama is ready to bring endless joy to your home. She would thrive in a home with husky experience and a fenced yard where she can run, play, and be spoiled as the true princess she is! Meet Shadow/ Previous Phoenix - Your New Adventure Buddy! Adoption Fee: $499 Adoption Application - Copy & Paste https://forms.gle/FmtRtYxQNnemdkdw9 Shadow is a gorgeous Husky-Malamute mix with a heart as big as his paws! After being spotted wandering around town multiple times, a kind person finally stepped up to give him a safe place and asked for help finding him the home he truly deserves. This friendly, active boy is full of energy and would love an adventurous family to keep up with him. Because of his size and enthusiasm, he’d do best in a home with older kids who won’t be easily knocked over. Shadow loves doggy daycare, gets along well with other dogs, and is incredibly smart. Like most Huskies, he will thrive with structure and activity, so a family with Husky experience would be ideal. A tall fenced yard would be great for him to run and play safely. Shadow has been let down by people in the past, but we know the right family is out there—one who will love him, keep him safe, and include him in their lives forever. Shadow is around 2 years old and weighs about 74bs. Are you ready to give Shadow the forever home he’s been waiting for? Apply today!
