Story
Mercedes is smaller than she looks, she weighs just under 30 lbs. with "shorter" legs. Mercedes is around a year old, she is a very sweet girl with a lot of love to give! She is friendly, outgoing, affectionate, and a curious girl. She's loyal to her people and enjoys the company of other dogs. She actually would do best in a home with a dog companion. She is an active girl that loves to run and play with toys. She was recently integrated into a large group of 5-6 month old puppies for playtime and she did well after a 2 day introduction period. She is now one of the group and they do great together! Mercedes is an all-around great dog and should fit in with most any family. Mercedes is a smart girl; she does well walking on the leash, she has learned to sit for treats, which she is gentle taking from you, and sits when it is time to eat. She is treat motivated and eager to please! Mercedes should fit nicely with most any family. She is not an ideal candidate for an apartment. PLEASE READ THIS TO ADOPT MERCEDES -- Please COPY and PASTE the following URL for the adoption application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FPSL/Dog COMPLETED APPLICATIONS TAKE PRECEDENCE OVER INQUIRIES. If you are interested in adopting, the FIRST step is to complete an application. Please note that our animals are rescued and transported from South Mississippi where major animal overpopulation means less homes. We only transport them if adopted, in most instances, we can be available for a video call once an application has been approved. We are USDA certified, and WE PERSONALLY TRANSPORT OUR OWN adopted animals to meet their new families. We transport every 2-3 weeks. Our adoption fee includes the spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, Microchip, heartworm tested, Mississippi Health Certificate, and the transport service to get the new family pet to you ***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations. We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.*** We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.

Story
Meet Miss Cadbury, a beautiful spayed female terrier/schnauzer mix! She’s approximately 5 months old and weighs about 25 lbs.  She is great with other dogs, people, and kids. He has not yet been tested with cats. She is medically up to date, housebroken (occasional accident if not taken out on schedule), and crate trained. Apply to meet this stunning gal today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2401011##
