Fokker (pronounced like the movie ‘Meet the Fockers’) is about 9yrs old and still has the energy and playfulness of a puppy. He loves to play ‘rough’ with smaller dogs close to his size. He can be cautious and slightly defensive when he first meets another dogs but usually just wants to play with them. He has spent most of his life in a household of 1-3 other dogs of various sizes and ages so he will acclimate well to a family with another dog. He loves to bark at critters outside or others dogs walking on the sidewalk outside his house. He knows many of the basic tricks plus some extras. He response well to his name and commands but can be distracted easily if there is another animal that catches his eye.

She does great with my 8 month old dog along with my 11.5 yr old dog. She is non-aggressive with cats but may chase if they run. I have had a cat with her and rubbing on her with no problem. She loves kids. She likes water and to swim. We have taken her camping with us numerous times. She is reactive but non aggressive and rarely barks. She loves everyone she meets. she loves to sleep in bed right next tp you and doesn't mind. blanket to cover up with. Hi there my name is Gatsby, I`m approximately 9 years old and currently weigh 13#. I was found as a stray in the City of Detroit and was taken to a very overcrowded shelter. Thankfully the kind staff at Macomb County Animal Control offered to take me in.Since I`ve been here, the staff say that even though I`m a little on the older side, I still have a lot of pep in my step, I love running around in the yard hoping to find a squirrel I can chase up a tree and I love playing with toys. As far as being a big snuggler, that`s really not my style, don`t get me wrong, I do enjoy getting lots of pets, but I would most likely prefer my own bed/space. I will be better in an active home where I can go for walks, and play in the backyard.As far as other dogs and cats go, they are not for me, I definately need to be the only pet in your household, that also means that I will not enjoy going to areas where other dogs are present such as dog parks and pet stores. If you have children they will need to be over the age of 15 and meet me prior to adoption.
