Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Otis is an estimated 6-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix with a big heart and a lovable personality. Sadly this little guy has had to endure living outside in this horrible weather with a number of other dogs and the very reason we chose to help him. Otis deserve better from humans and we promised him that.  This charming little guy is fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and ready to find a home to call his own. Otis does well with other dogs and enjoys their company, making him a great fit for a home with canine companions. He has not been cat tested at this time. True to his terrier roots, Otis has a spunky yet sweet nature and loves being part of the action while still appreciating his downtime with his people. Otis recently had a lump removed from his foot and is on the road to recovery, eager to move forward into his next chapter surrounded by love and stability. He’s a wonderful companion looking for a family who will appreciate his personality, provide a safe and loving home, and enjoy all the loyalty he has to offer. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate dog to add to your family, Otis may be the perfect match. Story
I need a temp foster from 2/17 - 2/24. (I'm available for adoption too!) Please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org if you can help Hi, my name is Neuf and I'm from Minnesota. From his foster: Neuf is a happy, spunky, energetic guy who loves squeaky toys, playing with other dogs, and zooming around the yard. He’s very smart and highly food-motivated, making him responsive to training—he’s already picking up basic obedience quickly. Neuf does great in his crate overnight and is fully potty trained, going right away when let out. Neuf can be a bit vocal at first when hearing new sounds or meeting new people, but he settles quickly and becomes friendly and affectionate with calm, patient introductions. He appears new to structured leash walking and may pull, dart, or bark at moving things, so he’ll need a patient adopter committed to continued leash training. With consistency, he has already shown impressive improvement. He does have some mild separation anxiety and prefers being near his humans—something we expect will continue to improve in a stable, forever home. Neuf is very playful and may nibble during excitement or greetings, which is not aggressive but does require redirection and ongoing training. Because of this, he would do best with adults or older children who understand dog boundaries. Neuf is good with other dogs but has been known to chase cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. With structure, patience, and love, Neuf has made incredible progress in a short time and will make a loyal, affectionate companion. He’s a sweet boy with so much love, snuggles, and tail wags to give.

Name: Stella Jane Age: Puppy (DOB: 3/15/25) Gender: Female Breed: Collie/Terrier mix Weight: 28 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Child friendly: Yes House trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes Energy level: Moderate Temperament: Playful, outgoing, curious, snuggly Requirement: Not rental appropriate  Adoption Fee: $300 + tax To adopt, go to:  www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html From the Foster Family: Meet Stella Jane! Hi, I’m Stella. I’m a pup with striking good looks, expressive ears, and a face that always seems to say, “Did someone open the treat bag?” I really am the full package. I’m fully potty trained and understand good house manners. I’m also crate trained and comfortable spending time in my crate, which I treat like my own cozy little space. At night, I settle in easily and sleep through until morning, so you won’t be dealing with late-night wake-up calls. I love being around people and thrive on companionship. I’m friendly, affectionate, and enjoy being involved in whatever my humans are doing, whether that’s relaxing at home, playing in the yard, or going about daily routines. I also get along well with other dogs and enjoy playtime, but I’m just as happy curling up for cuddles when things slow down. I’m at a great age where I still have plenty of puppy energy and a goofy, playful personality, but I’m also mature enough to listen, learn, and be well-behaved. I’m eager to please and would do well in a home that wants a loving, adaptable companion. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing dog who will bring joy, companionship, and lots of memorable moments into your life, I could be the perfect match. I have a way of making a house feel like home and turning everyday moments into something special.                   February 1, 2026, 12:57 pm

Name: Pollie Poo Age: 1 year Gender: Female Breed: Jack Russell/ Collie Mix Weight: 36 lbs Dog Friendly: Yes Cat Friendly: Yes Child Friendly: Yes House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Energy Level: Moderate Temperament: Sweet, affectionate, playful, gentle, people-loving Requirement: Not  rental appropriate  Adoption Fee: $400+tax To adopt, go to: www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html From the Foster Family Pollie Poo is an absolute sweetheart! She loves playing with her foster brother and will happily romp around until they’re both worn out. She adores our kids (ages 10, 8, and 5) and follows them everywhere they go. She is calm, gentle, and respectful with our cats, carefully introducing herself and giving them space. Pollie enjoys walks and loves sniffing everything she can find. While she still has some puppy energy, once she settles down, she’s a world-class snuggler. Whether that’s on the couch or stretched out in a sunny spot on the floor. Pollie adjusted to Minnesota’s snow and cold in just half a day and now loves running and playing in the white stuff. She would do well as an only dog or with another canine companion, but her favorite thing is being around people.   She is fully potty trained, sleeps in her kennel every night, and knows basic commands like sit and stay. She listens well, responds to direction, and takes correction gently. Pollie would be a wonderful addition to any home seeking extra love, loyalty, and companionship. About Me Hi! I’m Pollie Poo, and I’ve had quite the adventure. I came all the way from Alabama with some of my friends, and wow, it’s cold here! It took me a minute to figure out how to go potty on this white stuff, but once I did, I realized how fun it is to run around in it. I especially love my foster mom; she’s my favorite. I cuddle up to her at night because it makes me feel safe. My foster brother can be a little annoying (he steals all the toys!), but I share anyway. I love playing with the kids and following them around the house. The cat is still warming up to me, but I promise I’m very gentle and just want to be friends with everyone. When you pick up my leash, I get SO excited, even though my foster mom says we have to wait for warmer weather for longer walks. I’m learning about these strange things humans call stairs. I’m not totally sure about them yet, but I’m working on it! I’m treat-motivated but prefer to eat my meals on my own schedule. I sleep in my kennel all night without whining or accidents (apparently, this makes my foster mom very happy). I might bark at new people at first, but it doesn’t take long before I’m asking for belly rubs. I can’t wait to find my furever home where I can love as big and as hard as I love everyone I meet. If you think we might be a good match, I’d love to meet you, give you kisses, and show you just how sweet I am.  February 1, 2026, 12:57 pm
