Meet Ginger a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix. She is a great dog who is very attention oriented.  She definitely wants all the attention on her but is also a cuddlier and will do her own thing. She is house trained and loves to be outside chasing the birds and squirrels. She is Jack Russell so she can jump high. She currently has a 4 foot chain link fence and she’s has been fine in it. She is good with other dogs but prefers to be be herself.  She is sweet, cuddly and full of energy.  She would love an active family that will spend lots of time with her.  She has a lot of love to give and would flourish in a loving active home.  Ginger is spayed, current on all her shots and microchipped.  To be considered for her forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  (Ginger is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.) June 5, 2023, 10:13 pm

Story
Meet Oakley (Sweet and playful!) - foster or adopter needed! Introducing Oakley, this charming boy is seven years young and a Hound/Jack Russell Terrier mix in search of a forever home! At 35 lbs, Oakley is a sweet and playful pup who adores children and delights in spending time with his foster human siblings. He has an infectious energy and loves to run and play, yet he's also content to cuddle up next to you on the couch for a nap. Oakley is housebroken and well-behaved on walks! To help him settle in, we recommend regular walks, a consistent routine, and a crate for when you're not home. This delightful dog enjoys going for walks and would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard where he can soak up the sun and play to his heart's content. Oakley is quite talkative and enjoys expressing himself, which can be quite comical. All in all, Oakley is a loving dog who simply wants a family to call his own. He's the perfect companion for anyone seeking a loyal and affectionate pet, regardless of age. If you're interested in fostering or adopting Oakley, please don't hesitate to get in touch! Don't just take our word for it, here is a poem written by his foster mom! Meet sweet Oakley, A peppy little pup! Sadly, his family fell on hard times And had to give him up. Oakley loves to run and play, On a leash, his walk is great. He'll snuggle with you on the couch And go right into his crate. Don't let his age fool you, He's full of energy! Just toss this pup a tennis ball And he's as happy as can be :) Oakley is up to date on vaccines and fixed. Apply via a computer at www.peace4paws.com and see for yourself how wonderful he truly is! Thanks! If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! U.S. shelter and adoption estimates 2012 3,500—Number of animal shelters •  6-8 million—Number of cats and dogs entering shelters each year 25 percent—Percentage of purebred dogs in shelters •  3-4 million—Number cats and dogs adopted from shelters each year 2.7 million—Number of adoptable cats and dogs euthanized in shelters each year 25% of dogs in shelters are pure bred - that's 1 in 4! *Name: Pedro (aka Jax) *Age: 6 years *Current Weight: 17 lbs *Rescued from: Texas *Adoption fee: $375 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, neutered, & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older,  Fully Fenced in Yard Hi, I'm Pedro!! I used to live with my family but they had to move into an apartment and I couldn't go with them. I would love to live in a house again so I can run and play in the yard! I am potty trained and know how to use a doggy door. I can be a little shy/timid when I first meet new people or go to new places, but once I warm up I am a little lovebug! I have an independent side and am full of personality! His ideal home would include a fenced-in yard. He is currently in foster with multiple dogs whom he loves to hang out with. Pedro is very well trained and is a very sweet guy looking for his forever home...could it be you?   apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ FAQs -- PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EMAILING All adoption fees are non-refundable If paying by credit card, Venmo, or PayPal there is a set processing fee, generally this fee is under $15 per pet. These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records. SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. ##1412509##
