Luke is our happy JRT mix boy that was found with his brother in a small town in Tennessee and soon they were living under the desk of the small shelter Manager because there was absolutely no kennel to hold the two pups.  Just weighing 15 pounds, this boy is going to be that special small guy that can fit in just about anywhere and with anyone.  He loves attention.  In fact he craves attention and needs some reassurance that someone is going to be there for him for a long time.  These uncertain times  have certainly affected everyone and especially the dogs that have found themselves abandoned and now homeless.  He is a great little guy and does well with other dogs and loves children.  He is still working on the inside house manners that he will perfect  with just a little more time and some loving patience from his human teacher.  Luke loves to be held and carried around.  He thinks he is a Chihuahua but he doesn't act like one for sure.  He is pretty good on a leash and he is crate trained and truly working on becoming an exceptional little dynamo that will keep you young at heart and also a heart that will fill  yours with his adoration and love.  If you are interested, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com   He is ready and more than willing to travel to a city near you!!!   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 16, 2026, 3:25 pm

Story
Summer was born in May 2020. We adopted in August 2020. She was attacked by a loose 50lb. dog during a walk and is now anxious around other dogs. We are rehoming her because she can no longer be near our other older dog. She is very smart and knows the meaning of several words: Play Ball, Crate Walk, Park, Food, Sit, Treat, Out, No, Stop, Come, Good Girl, and a few other words. When I hold up my index finger, she knows that means wait a minute. She is house and crate trained, very affectionate, and playful. Summer needs to be in a home where someone is at home during the day. We would provide her crate and blankets, toys, harness, leash, and her Neater Feeder water and food bowls unit. She loves to play, particularly fetch with her soft orange ball, cuddle up while watching TV, and is very affectionate. She is also a great watchdog. The adoption fee is just to ensure she goes to a good, loving home. It will be held in escrow and refunded after she is in her new home for 90 days.
