hi Benji Boy! This happy boy is a 22 pound, approx. 22 lbs. Jack Russell Terrier. He was found as a stray and brought to the local animal control shelter. Sadly, his owner declined to reclaim him so we scooped him up for the rescue. Beni Boy, true to his breed, is a happy and energetic pup! He is a true life of a party - always excited to see our volunteers, eager to explore and spend time in the play-yards. He will bring lots of laughter and joy to his forever home. He will come neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Benji Boy had good dog meets in the animal control shelter and he would need to meet any resident dogs. Story
Sushi is being fostered in CT. Sushi loves to cuddle and would love to have her own person and family; however she would do best as an only dog so she can get all the love to herself. She travels great in the car and will either sit on your lap for a short trip or in the backseat with a doggy car seat. She is housetrained and will go to the door to let you know she has to go potty. She eats like a champ and takes her insulin well. She also does great at the vet and loves her vet clinic friends. She sleeps through the night and is very easy going. Sushi is not interested in toys but loves to chew on vet approved bones. She loves to sleep on the couch with a comfy blanket, and she uses dog steps to get on. She can safely jump down as long as the floor is not slippery. I have a dog stroller for Sushi and she happily will sit in it and go for a ride or sleep in it when I am sitting at the computer. She enjoys going for short walks and gets excited when you put her leash on! She also does a very funny trot out in the backyard. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

The 4 Jack Russels enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal today as we got to learn their personalities a little bit. These pups average 7-9 pounds and *appear* to be all/mostly Jack Russel. Cinnamon- sweetest of the bunch. Still loves to play but will happily sit in your lap and seek out being held. Acorn- very playful and thinks he's a grizzly bear, also good with being held. Most JR personality of the group. Ginger- sweet and playful, likes cuddles. Chestnut- shyest of them all, does better with humans than crazy dogs. They see the vet 12/2 and will be available for adoption after that. The entire family must be present and we do not allow gifts/ surprises. They will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, have 1 parvo/distemper to start, bordatella vaccine, and rabies vaccine Please send us a detailed application from www.puppiesareworthsaving.com to add one to your family. Rumi is an 8 year old spayed female jack russell/chihuahua mix who weighs 11 pounds. These dogs were abandoned outside after their owner was evicted, but thankfully a good Samaritan took them in and got them to safety. They came to us flea infested, but they are all treated and super cute. They love everyone they meet, have tested well with other dogs, did great in the car and seemed to be potty trained.
