Story
Hello, my name is Benny! My previous person could no care for me so I was brought here in search for my furever home. I am a kind and gentle old man who would love to be snuggled up in a new home. I deserve the finer things in life like companionship and the comfort of a home and family. I am ready to spend my golden years with someone new, who will cherish me and snuggle with me. I am not a fan of being picked up and can be a little sensitive, so I ask any children in the home be over 8 years old. I am open to living with another dog and/or cat with proper introduction. I hope to meet you soon!---This dog is currently living in a foster home and is available by appointment only. Please reach out to schedule!---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Hi my name is Roxy! I was taken from a home that could only be entered by first putting on a respirator, and gloves along with my half-sisters Isabell & Smokey. The 3 of us are so thankful to be with 2nd Chance! I am a very sweet gal who loves affection and kisses, I have LOTS of energy, and Smokey and I LOVE to play together. Smokey and I have lived together all of our lives, so for that reason we must be adopted together. We require a fenced yard.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!July 23, 2024, 8:06 pm

Three years old. Diamond was hit by a car  last month, luckily the good Samaritan that had hit her stopped and took her to a vet. She had no broken bones, just some road rash and soreness, the vet cleared her.  Sadly,  her owners were never found.  Gentle & affectionate. Very people oriented, likes lap time, she's looking for a new family to love her. Spayed, UTD vaccinations, microchipped, wormed. Crate & House trained.   Please email adoptions@lamanchaanimalrescue.org for an application. Please visit our website at  https://www.lamanchaanimalrescue.org to see all of our adoptable dogs.    LaMancha Animal Rescue 855 Doe Run Rd Coatesville PA 19320 Kennel License 1697July 26, 2024, 3:40 pm

Story
She is 9 years old. She does occasionally have seizures. She does not like to go out in the snow or rain. I use pee pads in doors. We have another dog and she does not get along with him. She still will cower when you go to pet her or pick her up. She likes to be held with her belly up and then you rub her belly.

Story
Sugar and Spice and everything nice! Spice and her sister Sugar were rescued from a pretty sad living situation. They are around 30 pounds and roughly one year old. Both sisters love attention from their human friends and also love other dogs. They are bonded and would love a home together, but can be adopted separately. Spice is tan with white and black markings. She's submissive, but does have a "spicy attitude and will let you know what she thinks about it! Overall, she has a very calm and relaxed demeanor especially when she knows she is in a safe place/at home. She does well with potty training, but is still working on leash training. She is very gentle and loving with a little side of sass! Spice would make a great pet for almost any home. She is ready to be adopted and can travel to her adoptive home now! If you're interested in welcoming me or any of my delightful Funny Farm companions into your home, kindly visit ffpets.org. There, you can find information about our Tennessee-based rescue, and gain insights into the adoption process! The adoption fee is $325, with an additional $200 required for transportation. Please note that at the moment, this adorable pet is in the care of a foster home in Tennessee but will be lovingly transported to your location once the adoption process is successfully completed. For details on meeting locations and transport arrangements, simply click on the "Transport" tab at ffpets.org. We strongly encourage you to thoroughly review all transport-related information before submitting your adoption application.
