Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. 2nd Chance 4 Life Rescue is primarily a sanctuary for senior and medically needy dogs.  Every once in awhile you will see younger dogs but for the most part our dogs live out their life at the ranch at the request of their previous owners or their owners families.  We have many sponsorship dogs.  Our sponsors love to keep in touch and know how their sponsored fur buddy is doing :)When we have foster families we are thrilled to be able to take adoptable younger dogs :)  So if you have ever thought about becoming fosters please feel free to go to our foster/volunteer page and fill out an application. The Ranch located at 737 Taylor Rd., Windsor, PA is always looking for dedicated volunteers that will commit to at least a 2 hour shift per week at the rescue.  Volunteers work in play yards, help with laundry and feeding.  Some enjoy landscaping or carpentry projects and some like to bake for the healing center visitors :)Thank you for supporting our mission of caring for the elderly and medically needy souls that need us!Hi my name is Roxy! I was taken from a home that could only be entered by first putting on a respirator, and gloves along with my half-sisters Isabell & Smokey. The 3 of us are so thankful to be with 2nd Chance! I am a very sweet gal who loves affection and kisses, I have LOTS of energy, and Smokey and I LOVE to play together. Smokey and I have lived together all of our lives, so for that reason we must be adopted together. We require a fenced yard.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. Please fill out an adoption application: Adoption application (Dog) Adoption Application (Cat)   Please understand we do not adopt out dogs to families with children under the age of 5. We do not adopt dogs to renters. Some dogs will have fence requirements while others may not.   A pet is a lifetime commitment. The dogs and cats in our system find themselves there, for the most part, because their humans did not have the same loyalty to them as they did to their owners. We do not take the adoption process lightly, and will do everything in our power to make sure the animal is placed correctly the first time around for your sake and theirs. Thank you for choosing to adopt not shop!October 14, 2024, 6:08 pm

Story
I rescued Milo when he ran across a busy highway in front of my daughter. He was raw under his belly, from his neck all the way back to his tail. He is a sweet lovey dog who loves attention, has a lot of energy, but does like to be loved. He is housebroken but still has accidents from time to time, he is also not neutered, but would be willing to possibly contribute financially for that to be done. He has a brother named Otis who is a little older, but would like if they could stay together however will consider them being adopted separately.
We'll also keep you updated on Otis's adoption status with email updates.

Story
“CJ” here! I’m a little guy (about 25#), that makes up for my size in spirit (in a good way).  Thought to be a Jack Russel/Corgi mix, I’m a “Squirt” with short leg, long body and bobbed tail (so cute). Just look at my soulful dark eyes! How can you resist??? My bestest friend, Charlie (also looking for a home) and I both came to Molly’s Place a Youngens from different shelters. Adopted by the same human, we became roomies, bonded and inseparable pals, (Get my drift). BUT, each about 8 years young now, we are again looking for a home at no fault of ours. Sadly, our human was evicted and we were returned. Being a senior, I totally understand that it’s slim chance we would again be adopted together. Wanting the best for my bro, I’m willing to let go if need be. Extra lovens, rubbens and cuddlens would make the difference, I’d be content.    I do have pep, vim and vigor and PLAYing with other dogs or my humans is WHERE IT’S AT! House, crate and leash trained, young whipper snappers have nothing over older doggies, for sure! Although said to be allergic to kiddos, I do LOVE other dogs and adult humans. I’m ready for the next chapter in my life! If you’re in the market for wise, loyal companion that loves leisurely strolls, playtime games, then quiet conversations, look no further. (Please read Charlie’s bio as well!) Older pooches are experienced in life, love and appreciated any time you have to give making us the BEST for companionship. No childish games here.  I’m CJ. I have the “spirit in my step, love in my heart” and a lot of life yet to live for years to come.   To submit an adoption application, visit mollysplacerescue.org. Fill the form out completely, print, scan and email back to mollysplace@verizon.net. You must obtain pre-approval prior to visiting the dog or cat. Adoptions fees include the following:      spay/neuter surgery,    microchip and registration,    age appropriate vaccinations,    initial dewormings,    Activyl for fleas,    tested for FeLV and FIV (cats only),    bubble bath prior to going home (dogs only) Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 23, 2024, 10:09 pm

Story
Hello there! My name is Mama Sugar, and I can’t wait to meet you! First, a little bit about me. I am a 3 year old, 19 pound, female, Jack Russell Terrier mix. My foster mama says that I am low energy and that I love to snuggle! She also says that I am a little timid and slow to warm up to new people but that once I earn your trust we will be fast friends. My foster home has dogs, little kids, and dog-savy cats and I am doing fabulous with both of them! Due to my timidness, slow introductions with the little kids is best. I am great in my crate and I am doing amazing with my house training. I have a few set backs at times due to the weather (I don’t like this cold, rainy weather in PA) and my timidness. I am up to date on my vaccines and preventatives. If you think you may be my forever home, please apply at  www.pack9rescue.org  today, I am waiting in Harrisburg for you!
