Story
**Note: Ohoh is currently in Korea, but he will fly to San Francisco once adopted. Background Ohoh’s life hasn’t been easy. As a tiny puppy, he was found wandering in an apartment complex in Wanju, Korea. He was sent to a city pound, where he spent the next five years chained in a poor shelter with little comfort or care. This summer, Ohoh finally came to us and has been living at our boarding house, where he is safe and loved while waiting for his forever family. Personality & Socialization Ohoh is a gentle, sweet, and loyal boy with a calm, easygoing nature. He has medium energy, happy to go for walks and spend time with people, but also content to relax quietly by your side. He’s very friendly with people, both men and women, and loves being close to his humans. When it comes to other dogs, Ohoh gets along well with gentle, friendly, and well-mannered dogs. He does not do well with overly bossy, dominant, or hyper dogs. Behaviour Ohoh is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. He bonds strongly with people and follows their lead easily. He rides calmly in the car, tolerates bath time, and is cooperative at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys outdoor potty breaks, and is quiet indoors. We’ve rarely heard him bark. With a little training, Ohoh will blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. Health & Diet Ohoh is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on his vaccines. He is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. When first rescued, he was treated for anaplasmosis, and he has since made a full recovery. He’s in good health and ready for his forever home. Ohoh eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Ohoh will thrive with a family looking for a calm, gentle, and loyal companion. He gets along well with other gentle, quiet, and well-mannered dogs, but he would be happiest as the only dog in a calm home. A quiet, relaxed lifestyle where he can soak up love and attention from his humans would be perfect for him. Ohoh is an easygoing and affectionate boy who simply wants to be by your side. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky. -------------------------------- For more info about the dog or adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/ohoh/

Story
**Note: Currently, Jena is in Korea, but she will arrive in San Francisco once adopted. Background Jena was rescued early this summer from a farmhouse where she had been left neglected and chained outside. After spending a few months at a local shelter, she joined our care and now lives safely with other dogs at our partner boarding house. Jena is a Jindo and Mini Pincher mix. Personality & Socialization Jena is a friendly, social, and loving girl. She enjoys being around people, both men and women, and has a gentle, affectionate nature. With medium energy, she’s playful and friendly and easy to be around. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, big or small. Jena loves to play and is happiest when she’s with another friendly, playful dog. She’s the type of dog who brings joy and warmth. Behaviours Jena is smart and a quick learner. She handles baths, car rides, and vet visits well. She’s still getting used to leash walking and can be a bit nervous in new environments, but she follows her person’s lead and adjusts beautifully. She’s bright, and not overly needy—an easy companion for any household. Health & Diet Jena is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. She’s dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. She eats dry food twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Jena would do best in a loving home with another gentle and friendly dog to keep her company. She’d also be a great match for someone looking for a second dog or who enjoys a calm, balanced companion. With a little patience and love, Jena will reward her family with endless affection and loyalty. ---------------------------- For more info about Jena, or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/jena/

Story
Current Location: Korea 🇰🇷♡ 🐶✨ Meet Sinbi – The Gentle and Loving Jindo Mix with a Mother’s Heart 💕 🐾 Name: Sinbi 🎂 Age: 2 years 🚺 Gender: Female (Spayed) ⚖️ Weight: 11.5 kg (≈25 lbs) 🐕 Breed: Jindo Mix 🎨 Color: Cream White 💉 Health: Fully vaccinated / Spayed / Healthy 💗 Personality & Charm Sinbi is a warmhearted and affectionate girl who always knows how to make others feel comfortable. She loves people — especially younger adults — and quickly bonds even with strangers after a few treats. 🍪 When she’s happy, she wiggles her whole body and rolls over for belly rubs! 💞 She’s gentle and considerate toward other dogs, often giving up her spot or toy for them. She’s the type of dog who brings calm energy and kindness wherever she goes. 🌷 Very curious but gentle. If a cat swats at her, she immediately backs off and pretends nothing happened. 😄 🏡 Training & Habits 🚽 Potty: Both indoor (artificial grass on balcony) and outdoor trained 🧺 Crate: Learns well! Feels uneasy when the door is closed but settles down soon and naps quietly. ⚡ Energy Level: Moderate indoors / Playful when with dog friends 🤲 Handling: Loves being touched and petted 🚗 Car rides: Enjoys going out but may drool slightly — rests her chin by the window for fresh air 💬 Barking: Rare, only in response to unusual sounds 🐾 Separation: No anxiety, prefers sleeping in the same room as her person 💔 Her Rescue Story Sinbi was rescued from Gokseong Shelter with her three puppies. After two other mother dogs passed away there, Sinbi took in seven orphaned pups as her own, nursing and protecting them all until they were safe. 🥺 When her puppies were weaned, Sinbi herself was placed on the euthanasia list — but rescuers couldn’t leave behind this brave and gentle mom, so she and all her babies were saved together. 💕 🌼 Sinbi’s Ideal Family Sinbi would be perfect for a loving family who values calm companionship and gentle affection. She’s social, loyal, and incredibly nurturing — a true sweetheart with a heart of gold. If you’re looking for a dog who will quietly stay by your side and love you endlessly, Sinbi is waiting for you. 💖

Story
💛 Meet Maxine – Your Resilient, Sassy Sidekick This fluffy ray of sunshine is Maxine, a resilient and lovable pup who’s already been through more than her fair share. After being hit by a car, she ended up in a high-intake shelter in Southern California, dangerously close to being euthanized. But Maxine wasn’t ready to give up—and neither were we. Now safe and on the mend, Maxine is showing everyone just how much love and joy she has to give. She’s affectionate, spunky, and always ready to flash her signature smile. While she might take a beat to get comfortable in new situations, it doesn’t take long for her sweet, silly personality to shine. Maxine adores people and gets along with other dogs, but she’s happiest when she gets to set the pace. She may do best as the only dog in the home or with a calm companion who respects her space. She’s got just the right amount of sass and loves to be the center of your world. Maxine is living proof that second chances lead to beautiful new beginnings. All she needs now is a loving home to call her own. Could that be with you?
