Story
**Note: Ohoh is currently in Korea, but he will fly to San Francisco once adopted. Background Ohoh’s life hasn’t been easy. As a tiny puppy, he was found wandering in an apartment complex in Wanju, Korea. He was sent to a city pound, where he spent the next five years chained in a poor shelter with little comfort or care. This summer, Ohoh finally came to us and has been living at our boarding house, where he is safe and loved while waiting for his forever family. Personality & Socialization Ohoh is a gentle, sweet, and loyal boy with a calm, easygoing nature. He has medium energy, happy to go for walks and spend time with people, but also content to relax quietly by your side. He’s very friendly with people, both men and women, and loves being close to his humans. When it comes to other dogs, Ohoh gets along well with gentle, friendly, and well-mannered dogs. He does not do well with overly bossy, dominant, or hyper dogs. Behaviour Ohoh is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. He bonds strongly with people and follows their lead easily. He rides calmly in the car, tolerates bath time, and is cooperative at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys outdoor potty breaks, and is quiet indoors. We’ve rarely heard him bark. With a little training, Ohoh will blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. Health & Diet Ohoh is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on his vaccines. He is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. When first rescued, he was treated for anaplasmosis, and he has since made a full recovery. He’s in good health and ready for his forever home. Ohoh eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Ohoh will thrive with a family looking for a calm, gentle, and loyal companion. He gets along well with other gentle, quiet, and well-mannered dogs, but he would be happiest as the only dog in a calm home. A quiet, relaxed lifestyle where he can soak up love and attention from his humans would be perfect for him. Ohoh is an easygoing and affectionate boy who simply wants to be by your side. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky. -------------------------------- For more info about the dog or adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/ohoh/

Story
**Note: Currently, Hana is in Korea, but she will arrive in San Francisco once adopted. Background Hana and her sister, Beosun were rescued from a city pound in Milyang, Korea, this past summer. Since then, she has been living with other dogs at our partner boarding house, learning how to enjoy a safe and happy life. Personality and Socialization Hana has a medium energy level and a very affectionate, social personality. She does well with other dogs, both big and small, as long as they are friendly. With people, Hana is very sweet and loving. Even with strangers, she happily approaches them and asks for pets. She is very friendly, outgoing, and loves human attention. Behaviours Hana is gentle, sweet and listens well. She handles car rides, baths, grooming, and vet visits without much fuss. She loves going for walks with her people and walks nicely by their side. She loves being petted more than anything and likes to stay close to her human. Even though she loves people so much, she stays calm when left alone and has not shown signs of separation anxiety, which has been very impressive. Health and Diet Hana is spayed and up to date on her vaccines. She has been dewormed and is on regular parasite prevention. She eats kibble well and has shown no food sensitivities. When she was rescued, she had Hepatozoon from an infected tick, but she completed her treatment and is now healthy and ready for her forever home. Ideal Home Hana is a sweet, gentle, social, and easygoing girl who will make a wonderful companion. She still has a little learning to do, but her friendly and eager to please nature makes her a joy to guide. She would be a great match for many families looking for a loving companion. A home where someone is around often would be best, as she enjoys quiet company and shared time with her people. --------------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/hana-5/

He’s very friendly with people, both men and women, and loves being close to his humans. When he first came to us, Ohoh was nervous around other dogs, likely because he spent years chained and isolated. Over time, he has slowly started to make progress and found doggy friends he enjoys playing with. Ohoh is not a fan of dogs who are bossy, pushy, or loud, but he gets along well with gentle and friendly dogs. Behaviour Ohoh is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. It took time and patience, but her owner finally agreed to surrender her. She is now safe and living with other dogs at our partner boarding house, where she is learning what it feels like to be cared for. Personality and Socialization Mongmong has a soft, balanced personality and a moderate energy level. She has a gentle and loving heart and always greets people with a wagging tail. She was never meant to be a guard dog as she naturally trusts and welcomes people, even strangers, and is very affectionate and sweet. She enjoys being around other dogs and likes to play with friendly dogs similar to her size. If another dog is too loud or overwhelming, she quietly removes herself and looks for a peaceful space. She is friendly, palyful and also very affectionate. Behaviours Mongmong is gentle and well mannered in daily life. She handles a carride, bath time without fuss, and does well at the vet. She enjoys going for walks and follows her human well. She has not shown signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Health and Diet Mongmong is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. She has been dewormed and receives monthly parasite prevention. She eats dry food twice a day and has not shown any food sensitivities. Ideal Home She would be a wonderful match for many homes, whether a first time adopter or a family looking for a second dog. Her ideal home is one where someone is home often, such as working from home or being retired, as she loves human company and feels most comfortable when not left alone for long hours. Mongmong is kind, loyal, and easy to love. She will make a beautiful companion for the lucky family that welcomes her into their home. -------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/mongmong-2/

Story
Current Location: Korea 🇰🇷♡ 🐶✨ Meet Sinbi – The Gentle and Loving Jindo Mix with a Mother’s Heart 💕 🐾 Name: Sinbi 🎂 Age: 2 years 🚺 Gender: Female (Spayed) ⚖️ Weight: 11.5 kg (≈25 lbs) 🐕 Breed: Jindo Mix 🎨 Color: Cream White 💉 Health: Fully vaccinated / Spayed / Healthy 💗 Personality & Charm Sinbi is a warmhearted and affectionate girl who always knows how to make others feel comfortable. She loves people — especially younger adults — and quickly bonds even with strangers after a few treats. 🍪 When she’s happy, she wiggles her whole body and rolls over for belly rubs! 💞 She’s gentle and considerate toward other dogs, often giving up her spot or toy for them. She’s the type of dog who brings calm energy and kindness wherever she goes. 🌷 Very curious but gentle. If a cat swats at her, she immediately backs off and pretends nothing happened. 😄 🏡 Training & Habits 🚽 Potty: Both indoor (artificial grass on balcony) and outdoor trained 🧺 Crate: Learns well! Feels uneasy when the door is closed but settles down soon and naps quietly. ⚡ Energy Level: Moderate indoors / Playful when with dog friends 🤲 Handling: Loves being touched and petted 🚗 Car rides: Enjoys going out but may drool slightly — rests her chin by the window for fresh air 💬 Barking: Rare, only in response to unusual sounds 🐾 Separation: No anxiety, prefers sleeping in the same room as her person 💔 Her Rescue Story Sinbi was rescued from Gokseong Shelter with her three puppies. After two other mother dogs passed away there, Sinbi took in seven orphaned pups as her own, nursing and protecting them all until they were safe. 🥺 When her puppies were weaned, Sinbi herself was placed on the euthanasia list — but rescuers couldn’t leave behind this brave and gentle mom, so she and all her babies were saved together. 💕 🌼 Sinbi’s Ideal Family Sinbi would be perfect for a loving family who values calm companionship and gentle affection. She’s social, loyal, and incredibly nurturing — a true sweetheart with a heart of gold. If you’re looking for a dog who will quietly stay by your side and love you endlessly, Sinbi is waiting for you. 💖
