Story
We adopted Rio about 2 years ago, he is a rescue from a kill shelter in Korea. he does get along with our golden doodle very well! He was very shy and timid at first, it took a long time before he trusted my husband and I, but once he did, he became very loving and loyal. He and our dog are great together, they play all the time. He unfortunately is not great with dogs he does not know. Once he gets to know them he is ok. He is also very afraid of new people and noises, so he barks very often. He will respond to a bark collar. We have 15 month old twins and they are very curious and rio has not responded well to them touching him and has almost bit them a couple times, so we decided it’s time for a new home. Again, once he trusts you he is a good dog. I hope someone that has experience with rescues will take a chance on him and give him a loving home. We are so sad we have to do this

Note: Special Needs Dog due to Behavior/Shyness. Pepe is an adorable medium sized Scottish Aberdeen Terrier mix who was transferred from another rescue to Jelly's Place in March 2020, along with his sister. Pepe is extremely nervous and timid around people. He LOVES other dogs, and has become best friends with another Jelly's dog named Chee Yoo. Ideally the 2 will be adopted together. Pepe has a very similar personality to Chee Yoo and the two of them are like 2 peas in a pod. During his time at Jelly's Place, Pepe has gone from hiding in his dog house to taking daily walks on a leash. He is becoming more comfortable and confident, but still has a long way to go. He has learned to trust his primary caregiver, but is still not comfortable interacting with other people. Pepe would do best in calm, quiet home with dog experience and older or no children. Pepe is not a dog for first time adopters. He needs adopters who are willing to be patient and to give him the time and space he needs to feel comfortable, confident and loved. Another dog in the home is essential. If you are interested in adopting Pepe, we recommend that you come and spend time with him on several occasions so that he becomes comfortable with you. Pepe is UTD on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Applications are being accepted and qualified applicants will be contacted.

This fawn-colored hunk is Knox! He is approximately 1-year-old and exudes sweet, silly puppy energy. Sadly, Knox came to us as a stray in extremely dire medical shape - a result of human cruelty. He was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery. Now recovered, he is a happy, curious dog who is learning to love again and trust people more and more each day. He's doing well working on his leash skills, loves the play yard and is working on his big-boy manners. Knox also knows how to "sit", "down", and "shake".
