**Note: Ohoh is currently in Korea, but he will fly to San Francisco once adopted. Background Ohoh’s life hasn’t been easy. As a tiny puppy, he was found wandering in an apartment complex in Wanju, Korea. He was sent to a city pound, where he spent the next five years chained in a poor shelter with little comfort or care. This summer, Ohoh finally came to us and has been living at our boarding house, where he is safe and loved while waiting for his forever family. Personality & Socialization Ohoh is a gentle, sweet, and loyal boy with a calm, easygoing nature. He has medium energy, happy to go for walks and spend time with people, but also content to relax quietly by your side. He’s very friendly with people, both men and women, and loves being close to his humans. When it comes to other dogs, Ohoh gets along well with gentle, friendly, and well-mannered dogs. He does not do well with overly bossy, dominant, or hyper dogs. Behaviour Ohoh is well-behaved, obedient, and very smart. He bonds strongly with people and follows their lead easily. He rides calmly in the car, tolerates bath time, and is cooperative at the vet. He walks nicely on a leash, enjoys outdoor potty breaks, and is quiet indoors. We’ve rarely heard him bark. With a little training, Ohoh will blossom into a wonderful lifelong companion. Health & Diet Ohoh is neutered, microchipped, and fully up to date on his vaccines. He is dewormed and on monthly parasite prevention. When first rescued, he was treated for anaplasmosis, and he has since made a full recovery. He’s in good health and ready for his forever home. Ohoh eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Ohoh will thrive with a family looking for a calm, gentle, and loyal companion. He gets along well with other gentle, quiet, and well-mannered dogs, but he would be happiest as the only dog in a calm home. **Note: Currently, Sandy is in Korea, but will fly to SF upon adoption. Background Sandy was rescued early this summer after living a lonely and neglected life. She had been chained outside a small restaurant near our partner shelter in a rural town. The elderly restaurant owner said she “fed” Sandy once a week: just leftover scraps that were barely edible. When our shelter manager saw her, she couldn’t walk away. After several visits and gentle persuasion, the owner finally agreed to surrender Sandy to us. Since then, Sandy has been living safely at our partner boarding house with other rescue dogs, where she’s been learning what love and care truly mean. Personality & Socialization Sandy is a gentle, sweet, and loving girl. She can be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take her long to open up. Once she feels safe, she becomes very affectionate and enjoys being close to people. She’s friendly with both men and women and loves spending time with her humans. Sandy also gets along well with other dogs, both big and small, as long as they are friendly and kind. She especially enjoys the company of gentle, playful dogs and fits in beautifully in a calm, social group. Behaviours Sandy has a medium energy level and a calm, balanced temperament. She’s easygoing, mature, and adaptable to new environments. She walks well on leash, as if she’s been trained before, and enjoys her outings quietly by your side. She’s well-behaved during baths, car rides, and vet visits, and has shown no signs of separation anxiety or destructive behavior. Sandy is intelligent, obedient, and loyal. Truly a joy to care for. Health & Diet When rescued, Sandy tested positive for heartworms, sadly, not a surprise given her past living conditions. She received full treatment and has now completely recovered. Sandy is healthy and ready for her forever home. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and on regular flea and tick prevention. She eats dry kibble twice a day and has shown no allergies. Ideal Home Sandy would do well in many kinds of homes. She’d be happy as an only dog, soaking up all the love and attention, or as a second dog alongside a gentle, friendly companion. Her easygoing nature makes her a wonderful match for someone looking for a calm, affectionate, and loyal companion. When she gave birth to seven puppies, it became clear that the environment was not safe for her or her babies. Thankfully, the owner agreed to surrender them, and we were able to bring the whole little family to safety. She has been living at our partner boarding house ever since, surrounded by other dogs who have helped her feel safe again. Personality and Socialization Dalie has a calm medium energy level and gentle nature. She gets along well with other dogs, especially those who are quiet and polite like she is. She prefers to observe rather than play rough, and she keeps her distance from dogs that are overly pushy or high energy. With people, Dalie is very sweet and trusting. Even when she had her puppies, she allowed staff to handle them. She enjoys soft attention and simply being near her humans. Since arriving at the shelter, she has been loving with everyone she meets and appreciates a peaceful hangout. Behaviours Dalie has been easy from day one. She never causes trouble and avoids conflict. Car rides are still new to her, but she has handled them surprisingly well. She is relaxed for baths, brushing, nail trims, and vet visits. Since then, she has been living safely at our partner boarding house, where she’s been learning to trust and enjoy life again. Personality & Socialization Youja is a gentle, loving, and bright girl. She can be a little shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, her affectionate side shines through. She enjoys spending time with people and other dogs but also values her quiet time. She’s friendly without being clingy. She’s great with both men and women and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, big or small. Youja enjoys playing with her furry friends but is also respectful if they want space. She has a lovely balance, social and sweet, yet chill and independent. Story

I adopted Panda, a Korean Sapsali (related to Jindo breed), while stationed in South Korea and saved him from a meat farm. He is 2.5 years young and a very handsome boy. It takes him a while to warm up to strangers, but once you’re in his “in group” he’s very affectionate. Given that it takes him a while to warm up, looking for a patient and experienced individual who can take him on and built trust over time. He doesn’t like strangers to pet him and may bark or growl if approached too quickly, as such I have to muzzle him at the vet. He needs more training to be comfortable with houseguests, but Prozac has helped a lot. I’ve worked with a trainer on his leash skills—he use to be reactive—and he walks beautifully using a “pinch collar.” Given my personal circumstances I unfortunately am looking to rehome him.

Story

story: Thank you for interested in adopting Buddy. Please know that Buddy is an international rescue. When your application is approved, you will need to pick him up from the airport - such as SFO, SEA, JFK, LAX, ONT, IAH, etc. International adoption is not a complicated process and we've done the process many years. We would be happy to explain to you how the process works. Buddy is not high in energy level and likes to take a slow walk, taking time to observe and sniff other things. When he was a puppy, he was small and weak and was bullied by his siblings. He gets nervous towards other dogs. He is not comfortable when the other dog tries to dominate and when the other dog has a young puppy energy so much that it can annoy others. However, once he becomes friendly with other dog, he gets along very well. He stayed in the shelter for a long time so he lacks socialization but he is gentle and careful once he decides to be a friend with the people and the dogs. Now, he is under socialization training. He has not met children yet but is generally calm and good with people. The foster believes buddy is calm and friendly with anyone and so can be with children. Buddy is nervous but stays calm in the crate. He behaves well when he is alone in home. He is under leash training. If he gets scared he just stops and refuses to move. When he gets scared during walks, he leans on the people next to him and depends on the person for protection. With something he has not eaten before, he doesn’t eat it right away. He rubs it on his body first. After he tries it one or two times, he doesn’t do it anymore. Lacking various experiences, he gets scared easily but is also good at overcoming them.
