Story
Rescued as a stray on St Patrick’s day, thus Lucky! He has a lovely temperament and comes with behavioral issues. Affectionate, playful and endearing. Please do NOT call to ask if this puppy is available for adoption. If this listing is still posted then we are still accepting applications. Please read the narrative in its entirety. Please note our adoption procedures are explained in GREAT DETAIL BELOW. READ, READ, READ. Thank You. . . . . The best match will be selected and contacted to confirm an appointment at Petsmart in Yorba Linda on Saturday between noon and 3 pm or on a mutually agreeable day, time and place. We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. The adoption fee for a puppy is generally $495 - $525. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This is a great article from 3LostDogs that explains the trials and tribulations of puppyhood: http://3lostdogs.com/things-wish-everyone-knew-before-they-get-dog-2/

Story
Estella is a sweet, mellow, adorably cute little girl who looks like a Labradoodle (a mix of a Labrador Retriever and a Poodle), a Scottish Terrier (Scotty) and Portuguese Water Dog blend. Stella is very, very shy and needs a patient, quiet, and affectionate person to bring her out of her shell. She’s only about 2 years old and although she is so very timid, she has absolutely no fear aggression – she’s probably just been neglected her whole young life. This sweet and gentle pupper is looking for a home with a loving person who can give her the affection she deserves. I’ve been doing rescue and foster for over 30 years (!), and the most significant thing I’ve learned is that these shy doggies become the most loyal and devoted best buddies in the world because love and care is what they’ve craved their entire lives. Stella is full grown at 30 pounds and has a soft, curly,non-shedding coat. She’d be great for someone with dog allergies! She’s great with all other dogs, with kitties, and even with farm animals. She’d be fine with older kids who are calm and affectionate. Stella is a bit special – she really needs a sweet one-on-one relationship. She’s housetrained and leash trained, and she comes when she is called – she doesn’t dig in the or wander off. Of course, she’s spayed and up-to-date on her shots. I’m a firm believer in allowing people to have a “sleepover” with their potential new best buddy to ensure that you, your family, and your other companion pets all get along. We always take our puppers back if things don’t work out. If you think you have the love, patience, and warmth for an adorably sweet (and hypoallergenic!) girl like Stella, please contact, In the canine heart, there is always hope. Every dog deserves a safe and loving home. Adopt a rescue dog today; we are their voice! If you think you might be able to offer a great home for STELLA, please contact Reyna. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**In order to get our large-breed dogs adopted, we asked for adoption sponsors to cover the adoption fees for a few of our big dogs, and Lincoln's fee is 100% sponsored by a Cause for SB Paws donor! Applicants are still subject to an interview, meet and greet, and it of course must be the right fit. But the adoption fee is covered!** Lincoln is another Cause Long-termer, and he has a problem. He’s a tennis-ball-junkie, and he just can’t stop. See his videos!  At just 10 mos old in March of 2020, he was a scared pup trying to survive on the streets of San Bernardino. We caught him and thought he’d find a home in no time. And here we are, 2023, and our ball-junkie Lincoln is still looking for a home! Looking for a buddy to go on endless adventures with? He loves to hike, swim, and explore nature. As you can see, he’s addicted to playing ball. He’s so much fun!in his foster home, he lives around big and little dogs, and os submissive. He is a bundle of energy, so other active, playful dogs or playful, active humans a must! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Oh my goodness, Luke, you handsome fella you! Luke was urgent at SBC due to limping and a broken jaw. Thanks to Redlands Friends of Shelter Animals partnering with us, and Hope for Paws Rescue sponsoring his medical, we were able to get him out of there and into surgery right away! Luke’s ortho specialist determined the limping was from an older soft tissue or nerve injury in his shoulder, and after physical therapy to build back muscle, he is doing great!  He had a Mandibulectomy (removal of part of the jaw bone) and had a separated symphysis wired back together. As you can see, he healed beautifully! He is guesstimated to be about 3-4 years old, but he acts like a big, goofy puppy. He wants to play all day, and then get some good cuddles in.  He is the perfect family dog — friendly, energetic, and so happy. He looks like a Lab/Shepherd — such a beauty! He also seems like be a water dog, as evidenced by the fun he has with his water bowl.
