We do not do out-of-state adoptions for puppies and we cannot hold puppies; please submit your application when you are ready to adopt. If you are interested in meeting any Poochmatch dog, please visit our website to complete an adoption application. It is in the ADOPTION folder at the top of our home page. Just fill in the blanks and SEND. The adoption fees cover the mandatory and non-negotiable spay/neuter, rabies, microchip, microchip registration, core vaccinations including rabies and 4 sets of distemper/parvo and deworming. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. The adoption fee for a puppy is generally $495 - $525. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so. This handsome boy is a 7 year old black lab mix and is 65 lbs of pure love! He is such a wonderful dog and very energetic! and if you got tennis balls well he loves to play fetch. He is great with other dogs and good with kids. We don’t know how he is with cats. Oh and did I mention he loves car rides. Ozzy has some separation anxiety but has been crate trained and has been doing much better. He will also run if given the chance, so extra precautions should be taken. He will need to adjust to a new home, but he is very smart! Ozzy’s ideal home is with an active person who will take him on walks/hikes for exercise. Someone who works from home or is not gone a lot as he is happiest when around his people! Ozzy would also love to have a dog sibling around to play with and keep him company. He would not do well as an apartment dog. He needs a house with a very secure, fenced in yard.
