Story
The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org ❤️❤️❤️ DOLLIE NEEDS A HOME ❤️❤️❤️ Dollie needs a home!!!! Dollie is an adorable Husky/Lab type mix. She is a couple years old at the most and has the most loving soul. Dollie loves to give kisses and in exchange, you get to give her tons of belly rubs!!! This stunning young lady sat at the shelter for eight months!!! It’s hard to believe it because she is such a great dog! Dollie was rescued by a young lady who volunteered at the shelter, reading to the dogs. She took her home and had her for a couple weeks, but Dollie found her cats a blast to chase…the cats did not agree! So Dollie is now living with two other big dogs and the cats stay upstairs. She jumped over the 2-foot fence one time, got yelled at, and has NEVER done it again! What more we can tell you about Dollie:She loves the water!!! She loves to splash around in her little pool out in the yard. She loves to run and play with the other young dog…and do I ever mean RUN! Loves to play with balls and toys. She can entertain herself by pulling the stuffing out of many of them, but she also likes to play fetch with them. A little more you should know:Dollie is potty trained. She uses a doggie door. She has never destroyed anything in the house. She did, however, take a boot outside once and strangle the lace out of it The best home for Dollie:ACTIVE!!! If you run or hike, this IS YOUR dog!!! She would LOVE the dog beach too!Although Dollie lives with two other dogs in the house now. She is a dominant female, so male dogs are best. If she does live with another dog, we suggest an active one and no bones together. 99% of the time she is great with our other dogs. She has only gotten in to a couple scuffs and neither were hurt, but she can be a little dominant/possessive with her food and toys (it seems to be only with dogs, not people). She’s not an escape artist, but would be best if she can go in and out if you won’t be home. She is a little shy, more with men, when she first meets you, but you’d be amazed how fast she warms up with love and yummy treats! She shouldn’t go to a home with small children. She’s a tall girl when she stands on her back legs and she flails those long front paws about when she jumps up on you. She could really use a basic obedience class to learn the ropes and to be a perfect canines good citizen. You really can’t help but fall in love with this girl ❤️ She just wants to share her love and have fun! Dollie has been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If interested in her, please fill out I questionnaire on our website at www.love4canines.orgShe’s currently living in Corona, CA. Feel free to email with any questions! Love4k9z@mac.comWe do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. If we all agree on the placement, then the dog will stay with you that day. Please visit our website at www.dachshundpaws.org September 19, 2023, 3:18 pm
