Story
Maui is a beautiful, sweet, and silly 100lb Double Doodle (her wisdom panel shows 45% Labrador Retriever, 32% Golden Retriever, 22% Poodle, and 1% Flat-Coated Retriever). She came to SPAR facing life and death, having to undergo her second gastrointestinal surgery. She luckily pulled through the surgery and the weeks of recovery. She had previously had a foreign body removal 6 months prior as a puppy. Maui is looking for a special home. Having already used two (or more) of her spare lives, her body cannot afford another foreign body removal or gastrointestinal surgery. She cannot have access to any toys or anything left out she can chew on (blankets, dog beds, her leash, plastic dog bowls, etc). She sleeps in her kennel at night and is great around other dogs of all sizes. She is learning about cats in her current foster home and might be okay around dog-savvy cats. She would be okay in a home with older kids that understand the safety concerns of leaving things out where Maui can get into them. She has decent leash manners and enjoys going on walks. She is very smart and would love to take additional obedience classes to bond more with her new family. Maui also has already had an incisional gastropexy, so no future risks of GDV, or “bloat”. If you are interested in meeting Maui, please complete the adoption application. We go through a multi-step process for our dogs that includes meeting at the fosters home, a home inspection, and reference checks.

Story
Greyson is a wonderful 6 year old Labradoodle. Dad was a purebred Labrador (Duck Hunter) and mom was a Poodle. Our family got him when he was just a pup back in 2020. Unfortunately due to our busy schedules we need to rehome him. He is a great and silly dog. Response to Sit and Down and loves to play catch. He was an indoor dog for a while until he got large. He will bark when he needed to go outside and potty. He still needs to be house-trained and learn how to go on walks. Very playful and gets excited when meeting new people. Great with other dogs but not so much with cats. Greyson needs attention we can't give him right now but he will be an amazing dog for someone that can give him attention.

Story
Fauna is an almost 3 year old (April 2023) Australian Labradoodle who is about 18-20 lbs. She generally has a calm temperament, is relatively quiet, and will find every opportunity to sit on you. She enjoys both stuffed and rubber toys and is quite treat-motivated when it comes to training. She is flexible in energy levels - she can stay home all day or she can run laps at the dog park. She is very well potty trained. She is likely the best fit with someone with similar energy levels as and doesn't mind a slightly anxious dog. We love her and would love to spend the rest of her life together, but unfortunately, some medical issues on our part have arisen and we can no longer keep her. She has no known major medical issues aside from some mild seasonal allergies. She is up to date on all her vaccinations.Note: The person posting is a friend of the owner and has dogsat her on long and multiple occasions. She is the sweetest dog anyone could ask for. I love her so much!

Story
Daisy May is a dog that loves everything. Belly rubs? Loves. Sticks? Loves. Daisy May will drag branches around her yard and loves being the queen of the hill. She plays hide and seek, although she isn't great at the hiding part. She is a great dog for an experienced adopter who loves a little adventure and fun. Daisy May suffers from anxiety and is currently on medication for this. When Daisy May feels anxious, overwhelmed, or frustrated she gets very mouthy towards her handler. Daisy May responds well to anti-anxiety medication to help reduce this behavior, however any big transitions in her life (such as changing homes), tends to cause it to recur more frequently. Daisy May is currently seeing a veterinary behaviorist and we are hopeful to see continued improvements with treatment over time, however Daisy May is only appropriate at this time to go home to a very experienced adopter. Daisy May has a lot of energy that she needs worked out with walks, adventures, or playing with other dogs. She likes chasing, tug, and agility play. Daisy May does well with other dogs and cats with slow introductions. She's even met turtles. Daisy May is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training. If you're interested in meeting Daisy May, fill out an application and a volunteer will reach out. www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application

Story
Luna is a sweet girl looking for her forever home. She enjoys a good game of tug and fetch to help get her energy out. She is a silly and funny girl to have around and is perfect for anyone looking for a loyal companion. She loves helping her favorite people with anything and is motivated when it comes to training. Luna has a lot of energy and benefits from walks and playing. She does have sensitive skin and benefits greatly from fish oils and fish flavored food. Luna does fine around other dogs but if she is nervous or in an unknown situation she might growl due to being scared. It can take a while for the excitement to fade, but with patience Luna has been able to live with dog-savvy cats. Luna is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and chipped. All Better World Rescue dogs come with complimentary group or private training. If you're interested in meeting Luna, please fill out an application and a BWR volunteer will be in touch within one business day. betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application
