Louie is a sweet dog with high energy. He loves running around and chewing on raw hides. He's very motivated to learn. We are looking to rehome him because we do not have the ability to give him the attention he needs, so he has not been good with our young kids. He hasn't had much interactions with other dogs since was bitten several years ago, but doesn't seem to enjoy the time he has been with other dogs.

Fostered in east TN, out of state welcome for additional fee. We can transport to the Great Lakes or northeast areas. We use rescue riders for all our pet transport needs. If you are seeing this under the rescue riders page the great news is the adoption fee includes the transport fee to your area!!! Dash is a sweet and gentle soul. He loves to lean against your leg for pets. He is very smart and food motivated which helps with training. He’s knows and to sit and responds well to his name. Dash loves the water and is learning to swim. He is high energy but enjoys a good cuddle on the couch. He is crate trained and knows how to use the pet door. Dash is great with adults, kids, and other dogs and has had a little exposure to cats. He would make a fantastic addition to any household and would probably prefer to be in a house with kids or other dogs. He loves to play! Apply petpath.org

Widget Neutered Male 1 year old 32 lbs Breed Guess: Labradoodle Widget and Wizard were brought to a very rural animal control with their three other siblings and these poor babies were just so sad and scared. We fell in love instantly and knew we had to rescue all five of them STAT. They are kind to their core and just look to you for love and encouragement. As soon as you talk sweetly to them and let them know they’re good pups, they get the silliest, most wiggly bodies and come to you for all the pets and snuggles! They are wonderful with people and other animals and don’t seem to have a mean bone in their bodies. They will absolutely thrive in love-filled homes with families who can help build their confidence, discover the new world around them, learn basic training, and love them endlessly. They would do great with another dog friend in the home and they’ve always been surrounded by other dogs.

Peter Neutered Male 3-4 years old 85lbs HW+ Breed Guess: Labradoodle Peter is an absolute love bug. This big boy was picked up by a local animal control as a stray, and was never reclaimed, but clearly he was someone’s pet at some point. He’s so smart and knows numerous commands, absolutely adores people and other dogs, is perfectly behaved in his kennel, very quiet, walks well on leash, and is a total gem of a dog. He tested a faint positive for heart worms, which the shelter is currently treating. He is so ready to be done with shelter life and back in a loving home of his own for the rest of his life.

Truman: Smart, Snuggly, and So Full of Life! We are absolutely in love with Truman (DOB 8/11/24)! One look into those stunning light-colored eyes and you’ll be smitten too. This handsome boy is as smart as he is good-looking - he already knows sit, stay, crate, and is working hard on leave it. Truman is fully potty and crate trained, and will even bark or ring the bell to let you know when he needs to go out (or when he’d like a snack or a refill of water - he’s a great communicator!). Truman has the perfect mix of energy and chill. He’s an active, playful guy who loves walks, playing fetch, tug-of-war, and exploring the outdoors. (He may pull when he spots a squirrel or rabbit — it’s hard to resist the chase!) But when playtime’s over, Truman is all about snuggles. He’s a certified couch companion and loves nothing more than curling up next to you - bonus points if he gets to be the big spoon. He’s a fan of hard chew toys (stuffed toys don’t stand a chance) and enjoys Kongs stuffed with yogurt and strawberries as his special enrichment treat. Truman gets along well with dogs after proper introductions and has learned his place in the pack. He’s curious about cats — he won’t hurt them, but kittens might bring out his “squirrel instincts,” so a home without small cats would be best. Truman is a big boy with a big heart who’s still got a few puppy tendencies — like being a little mouthy and sneaking in a chew on a blanket corner — but he’s eager to please and loves learning. Because of his size and energy, we think Truman would do best in a home with kids 12 and up.
