This delicate little sweetheart is slowly learning what it means to feel safe and loved. Apple Blossom came to Reach Rescue after being left behind by a breeding operation, and the world is still a very big and sometimes scary place for her. At just a young age, she’s still learning to trust people. She startles easily and may run or hide when approached, but her foster mom is beginning to see glimpses of the gentle, loving dog she’ll become.  Apple Blossom must have another dog in the home to build her confidence and model positive dog behaviors.   She enjoys the company of other dogs, exploring the backyard, and has recently discovered the joys of chew toys and chin scratches. Apple Blossom will need a patient, understanding home that can give her time, kindness, and consistency as she continues to come out of her shell. Hi everyone 🐾 My name is Turner. I am a male, 12 week old lab mix. My mom was a medium sized labradoodle, not sure about my dad but think I get my coat and color from him. I am doing pretty well with potty training, truthfully this snow is kind of messing with me. I for sure need to go out after my naps. That’s the time I usually forget. I still gobble down my food. I think that’s because I was the smallest of 7 and had trouble getting enough. I am getting better now that I have my own dish. I sleep for more than 8 hours in a crate with my brother without making a mess or crying. I love running around in my fenced in yard and snuggling with my foster siblings and especially my foster mom. Get to know Pongo, a little dog with a big heart!  Pongo is a playful, curious 7-pound pup full of personality and charm. He is mostly house trained and crate trained, but he’s still learning how to ask to go outside—so he’ll need a patient family to help him finish mastering his potty skills. He’s also working on walking politely on a leash and currently pulls, but with time and consistency he’ll get the hang of it. Pongo starts off a little shy, but he warms up quickly and becomes incredibly affectionate. He attaches easily to his people and loves being near them—he’ll happily follow you from room to room just to be part of the action. He’s very sweet, not aggressive, and loves treats, squeaky toys, crinkle toys, and going for walks. He’s still a young dog learning his basics, including responding to his name and general commands. He’s also a bit of a collector—he may grab shoes or socks, but he doesn’t chew them; he simply likes to keep them with his toys, especially if you’ve left the room for a while. Pongo would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time, and where he has space to run, play, and enjoy long daily walks. He isn’t a fan of being left alone and is still getting used to wearing a harness.
