Apple Blossom came to Reach Rescue after being left behind by a breeding operation, and the world is still a very big and sometimes scary place for her. At just a young age, she’s still learning to trust people. She startles easily and may run or hide when approached, but her foster mom is beginning to see glimpses of the gentle, loving dog she’ll become.  Apple Blossom must have another dog in the home to build her confidence and model positive dog behaviors.   She enjoys the company of other dogs, exploring the backyard, and has recently discovered the joys of chew toys and chin scratches. Apple Blossom will need a patient, understanding home that can give her time, kindness, and consistency as she continues to come out of her shell. Louie is a sweet dog with high energy. He loves running around and chewing on raw hides. He's very motivated to learn. We are looking to rehome him because we do not have the ability to give him the attention he needs, so he has not been good with our young kids. He hasn't had much interactions with other dogs since was bitten several years ago, but doesn't seem to enjoy the time he has been with other dogs.

Hi everyone 🐾 My name is Turner. I am a male, 12 week old lab mix. My mom was a medium sized labradoodle, not sure about my dad but think I get my coat and color from him. I am doing pretty well with potty training, truthfully this snow is kind of messing with me. I for sure need to go out after my naps. That’s the time I usually forget. I still gobble down my food. I think that’s because I was the smallest of 7 and had trouble getting enough. I am getting better now that I have my own dish. I sleep for more than 8 hours in a crate with my brother without making a mess or crying. I love running around in my fenced in yard and snuggling with my foster siblings and especially my foster mom. Lionel also rides great in the car, is kid-friendly, and loves meeting new people. He enjoys playing fetch, looking out the window to watch the world go by, and soaking up all the love he can get. Lilac's heart is as big as her beautiful smile! Lilac's story hasn't been easy - she was a terrified pup found wearing a rope around her neck running in a cornfield down south to being brought into rescue where she froze in fear. Now, she's learning what real love and care is and is ready for a brand new beginning. This sweet girl is shy at first, but once she warms up, she's all love and wiggles. Her favorite things? Food, treats, ear scratches, lap time (or at least being right next to you), and playful wrestling with her foster family and their dog.  Lilac is doing wonderfully in foster care and continues to build confidence every day. She does best with gentle guidance, routine, and positive reinforcement, and she’s eager to please once she feels safe. Because open spaces can still feel overwhelming, Lilac will need a patient adopter to help her become comfortable on walks at her own pace. Traveling would not be a good fit for her right now. Having another dog around brings her comfort and helps her come out of her shell, and she truly shines when she’s included in everyday family life.
