We are sadly having to rehome our dog and are looking for a loving home for her. She is 5 years old and is very sweet, affectionate, and great with kids, including younger children. She loves being around her family and would do best in a home where she gets lots of attention and companionship. She does need a fenced yard and will need to be let outside often, as she enjoys being outdoors and staying active. She is also not fully potty trained, so she will need a patient family who is willing to continue working with her on that. This is a very hard decision for our family, and we truly want to find the right home for her where she will be loved and well cared for. Story
Chewbacca (12/26/18) is a chocolate labradoodle, weighs about 60lbs. He's mostly a good boy, he's getting old and stubborn so if he doesn't want to go outside or leave the kennel, he's not doing it. He's a big ol baby, and if you let him, he wants to be a lap dog. He listens when you tell him to go lay down or tell him to go to the kennel. He can be high energy and would do good in a house with kiddos, he'd make an excellent family dog. His biggest downfall, he marks. He has to wear a belly band all the time. Maybe that will stop when he's not around another dog, bc he won't feel the need to claim his area, but I don't know. He's good about wearing the belly band, he doesn't fight it or try to take it off. He lives with 3 cats currently and he leaves them alone completely.

Meet Ace! Ace is a approximately 4 to 5 year old male lab mix. Ace is a pretty energetic dog that seems to be just past the puppy phase of life and is ready to learn anything you may throw at him along with tackle any adventure you guys may want to endeavor. Ace was found exploring our city in the cold alongside a peer We call Chase who will also be available for adoption as well. Ace does seem to do very well with Chase so we think he would be ok with other dogs as well.

Giovanni and his siblings were left near a field in rural Missouri. Luckily some good Samaritans spotted them and were able to get 3 of the 4 caught. We worked with volunteer dog trappers to get the last pup caught. These boys are thin and most of them have eye issues. They will be heading to our vet in gladstone for treatment. We are looking desperately for foster homes for each of these pups. They need separated from each other, they need regular feedings, and some tlc as they heal from their surgery. Medical expenses are paid for and we use Animal Clinic of the Woodlands in Gladstone...so foster/adoptive home MUST be able to pick up and drop off their pup at that vet as needed. These boys are TALL and all gangly legged. We aren't sure if they have bloodhound/lab or dane/hound/lab...but these are BIG BOYS. Please reach out to us if you can foster or are interested in adopting one. Giovanni is coming out of his shell and loves petting. He's still unsure around other dogs, but he's learning the other dogs just want to play and have fun. At Autumn Acres Animal Rescue we believe each individual animal matters. We take in special cases some of which will stay with us as a sanctuary dog.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect Dog this means they have special needs and special requirements for potential adopters.If the animal is listed as a Socially Imperfect RESIDENT this animal is NOT available for adoption and is one of our sanctuary residents.
