Story
Hiya! My name is Lucky. My foster mom named me that because, well, I am a lucky 🍀 boy! She found me on the side of the road, alone, blind and underweight 😔 I’m lucky that she took me home 🏠 with her and has taken care of me ever since! I’ve learned so much already - like kennels aren’t too bad because I get treats and bones when I go in them. Treats and food 🦴 are most definitely a favorite thing of mine. I get super excited when I know I’m about to get some. You want to know something else? I really love pets, especially from kids 👶 👧 👦 Kids are great! Dogs are also pretty cool 😎 They can be scary though when they run into me and I don’t know they are there wanting to play (that's one challenge of being blind!). But not to worry! I make my way around everything pretty well even though I can’t see. My other senses help me just fine and are heightened because I can’t see. I still like to do normal dog stuff like play with toys 🥎 I find all the toys with my nose 👃 They seem to think that I'm around 7 years young and I am still plenty active! Do you like to snuggle? Because I do! I like to cuddle up on the couch or bed with you when you feel like being lazy and just want to give and receive some love 🥰 If you are interested in loving me for the rest of my life, please reach out to Pawsitive Tails Rescue to adopt me! Love, Lucky 🍀 Lucky's adoption fee is $175 and includes his neuter, microchip, vaccinations, and flea/tick & heartworm preventatives. Meet and Greets can be scheduled with Approved Adopters so get your application in today! 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 If you could use a little luck in your life, then don't miss out on this great boy! You would be *lucky* to have him!

Story
Hi! My name is Cake. I think they named me Cake because they just knew I was gonna be one sweet boy! My foster parents sometimes call me Cakey and sometimes monster...but only when I gallop around the house in search of toys to play with! I'm all house-trained and crate-trained! I've learned some commands, such as "sit" and "down". I'm a smart boy. I have two foster siblings. I love to play with them. They are teaching me all about being a good boy and how to be a good family member! Sometimes I get really excited, I can hardly stand it! But once I get pets and kisses, I melt right away into a ball of cuddles. If you like to have your Cake and snuggle it too, then this guy is for you. His adoption fee is $175 and includes neutering, microchipping, age-appropriate vaccines, and flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. To meet him, apply to adopt at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
🎼🎤Do you recall- the most famous reindeer of all? 🦌 🔴👃 Rudolph is the mama dog to the reindeer litter! Her little reindeer are all looking for their new homes and now it is time for Rudolph to find her new home, too! Affectionately known as Rudie, she is a 50ish-pound, 4-year-old Black Labrador Retriever mix. She is very sweet and loves being around people. She is awesome with children and loves all people. Other dogs make Rudolph nervous, and she doesn’t like to join in their reindeer games. She prefers to be the only dog in the house, but may be able to live with an older or smaller dog who doesn’t want to play. Rudie is house-trained and crate-trained. She will walk on a leash, but she is not confident about it. She would benefit from more training and experience to build her confidence. Rudolph knows the commands "sit" and "wait." She is an absolute lover who wants to be where you are and loves chilling. Rudie's foster tells us she is pretty mellow and doesn’t need much exercise to be happy. If this sounds like a good match for your home, please apply to PawsitiveTailsKC.org to meet Rudolph. Her adoption fee is $175 and includes her spay, microchip, vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Now dash away and get that application in today! 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤 APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org 🖤🤎❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍💜💙💚💛🧡❤️🤎🖤

Story
Elfie 4 months old | 15 lbs as of 12/19 Black Lab / Belgian Malinois mix (best guess) Elfie is a bright, curious puppy who is already showing what a great companion she can grow into. She is friendly with kids and enjoys the company of other dogs, making her a nice fit for a social household. Cats are currently unknown. Based on what we’ve been told and what we’re seeing, Elfie appears to be a Labrador Retriever / Belgian Malinois–type mix. This combination often produces dogs that are smart, athletic, and people-oriented. Elfie is expected to mature into a medium to large adult dog, likely in the 50–65 lb range. Elfie is still very much a puppy and will benefit from continued training, structure, and regular exercise as she grows. Dogs with this type of working-breed mix tend to thrive with adopters who enjoy being involved — walks, playtime, learning new skills, and daily interaction. In return, they are often incredibly loyal, attentive companions. Elfie would do best in a home ready to continue basic training, provide consistency, and help her channel her energy in positive ways. With guidance and engagement, she has all the makings of a fun, devoted, and well-rounded adult dog. If you’re looking for a smart young pup to grow and learn with, Elfie may be a wonderful match. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee for all dogs/pups: $225. Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. We do not have a shelter facility. Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Meet Moose 🐾 Moose is a 4-year-old, 50-lb chocolate Lab/Staffy mix who just needed the right environment to show who he really is. He came to us from a partnering shelter where he wasn’t doing well, but once he settled into a foster home, Moose quickly relaxed and started thriving. He’s gaining confidence, building trust, and showing himself to be a solid, well-mannered dog. ✔️ Potty trained ✔️ Friendly with people ✔️ Social with other dogs ✔️ Cat-tested and passed (slow, proper introductions recommended due to his size) Moose will continue to thrive with consistency and a home where he can continue to settle in and be himself. He’s a big, steady presence who’s ready for a fresh start in a home that matches his energy and size. ✨ All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. If you have other dogs in your home, we require that they meet our dog prior to adoption. 💲 Adoption fee: $225 📍 Once you apply, the foster will contact you to schedule a meet and greet. 👉 Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog

Story
Florence 4 months old | ~20 lbs Lab / Belgian Malinois–type mix (best guess) Elfie’s sister Florence is a sweet, attentive puppy who enjoys being around people and other dogs. She is friendly with kids and comfortable in social settings, making her a great candidate for a home looking to add a young dog to the family. Her experience with cats is currently unknown. Based on what we’ve been told and her appearance, Florence appears to be a Labrador Retriever / Belgian Malinois–type mix. Dogs with this mix are often intelligent, active, and very people-focused. Florence is expected to grow into a medium to large adult, likely in the 50–65 lb range. Florence is still in her puppy stage and will benefit from continued training, routine, and daily outlets for both mental and physical exercise. This type of mix does best with adopters who enjoy engaging with their dog — walks, playtime, learning new skills, and building a bond through consistency. With guidance and structure, Florence has the potential to become a loyal, well-mannered companion. She would do best in a home ready to invest time in training and enjoy watching a smart puppy grow into a confident adult dog. If you’re looking for a young dog to grow with your family and be an active part of daily life, Florence may be a wonderful fit. All of our dogs/pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Adoption fee for all dogs/pups: $225. Our dogs are in foster homes across the KC metro. Story
💛 Meet Tory — A Loving Lab Looking for Her Safe Place 💛 Tory is a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever with a heart full of love and a deep desire to be close to her people. At about 77 pounds, she’s a classic Lab—affectionate, loyal, and happiest when she’s by your side. Tory is incredibly people-focused and thrives on companionship. In her foster home, she is calm, affectionate, and comfortable with her family, including both adult men and children. Once she feels safe, she bonds deeply and shows just how sweet and gentle she truly is. 🐾 On Walks & Daily Life Tory does well on leash and responds nicely when the leash is taut—she’ll stop and match your pace. While she may pull occasionally, she’s easily redirected by hearing her name and settles quickly. She enjoys being out and about, especially when she knows her person is guiding her. 💙 A Note About New Men Tory can feel unsure when first meeting unfamiliar men. This uncertainty may show up as loud barking and backing away, which is rooted in fear and anxiety—not aggression. With calm guidance, patience, and reassurance, she settles and builds trust. Once she knows someone, she becomes affectionate and relaxed, just as she is with the men in her foster home. Because of this, Tory would do best with adopters who understand sensitive dogs and are willing to let her warm up at her own pace. 🐶 Other Important Notes • Loves people and wants to be near them • Does well with other dogs • No cats, please • Gentle, sensitive, and affectionate • Responds beautifully to calm, confident handling 🏡 Tory is eligible for the Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program, allowing her to continue adjusting in a home environment while ensuring the fit is right for everyone. Tory isn’t looking for perfection—she’s looking for patience, reassurance, and love. In return, she’ll offer unwavering loyalty, soft eyes full of trust, and the kind of companionship that makes a house feel like home. If you’re ready to give a sweet Lab the time and understanding she deserves, Tory is ready to meet you. 💛🐾 ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. An approved application is required before we can schedule a meet & greet. Once approved, we’ll work with you to ensure it’s a great fit—and if it’s not, no worries! We’ll help you find the right match.
