Meet Ace! Ace is a approximately 4 to 5 year old male lab mix. Ace is a pretty energetic dog that seems to be just past the puppy phase of life and is ready to learn anything you may throw at him along with tackle any adventure you guys may want to endeavor. Ace was found exploring our city in the cold alongside a peer We call Chase who will also be available for adoption as well. Ace does seem to do very well with Chase so we think he would be ok with other dogs as well.

Clyde has survived the unimaginable. During the artic temperatures he was on a chain with minimal shelter and no regular feedings. He survived...others did not. Clyde has some MAJOR food issues. He was deprived for so long with such sporadic feedings that it will take him quite awhile to realize he will not be hungry anymore. The investigative team with the Missouri Humane Society helped with this situation and they took several of the adult dogs. We had committed to 2. Clyde was one of the ones we were given. He was having a very difficult time gaining weight at the humane society. This isn't uncommon...a dog that doesn't handle being caged well will sometimes spin/react poorly and be unable to hold their weight and gaining weight would be really difficult. We are also a facility based rescue...so we are unsure if he'll gain weight or not, but we will try...and try to find him a home/foster home too! Clyde is heartworm positive and that treatment will start as soon as he settles into our routine here. We've only had him a few days so far. Follow us on Facebook to keep updated on him! She is very loyal, loving and playful. She has lots of energy but also likes to sleep a lot and just lounge around. Does very well with small dogs, she hasn’t had 1 on 1 time with a large dog but I imagine she would do well with a calm introduction. She gets so excited to see familiar faces but needs introductions to new people and then she will love them! Loves treats and walks. She is a very silly and funny girl. Loves playing fetch, tug toys, and tennis balls! She does well with home baths and getting her teeth brushed and also does well at the groomers. She also doesn’t mind getting dressed up for fun🤩

Mason is a 6 year old puppy. Although he’s getting older, he still has plenty of energy and motivation to play. He loves to run around, so a big, fenced in yard is perfect for him. He also loves to swim. His favorite activity is jumping in the lake and playing fetch with a stick. You throw the stick into the water and he goes after it. He is very food motivated and loves doing tricks for treats. He knows how to sit, lay down, and stay on command. He also knows how to shake, speak, spin, sit pretty, jump, “bump” (you fist bump his nose,) roll over, and high five. If you get a beach ball out in front of him he will play with it to by commands like “bump.” Even though he’s energetic he knows how to settle down and get snuggly as well. He makes a great cuddle buddy because he’s huge. Mason will thrive in a home where he gets plenty of exercise and love.

Pony Girl (so named for the Stay Golden Ponyboy line from The Outsiders) has had a very tough life so far. We thought things were improving. She's gained so much of her coat back, her infection was gone, she was playing and happy. She went to an amazing foster family and was doing great. Then the news all changed. She was diagnosed with cancer. Not a treatable cancer. She's on medication to make whatever time she has left happy and her foster family is dedicated to ensuring her last weeks/months will be full of happiness. If you want to meet or visit with her to show her some love please reach out to us. She loves car rides and does love people. She can be a little wary/shy at first, but does warm up to new people.
