Story
He is a sweet dog; he loves attention and belly rubs. He was born May 1, 2021. He is fully house broken (He does not bark he just stands by the door and waits) and has been to obedience school. He knows all common commands. He comes with hes bundle of toys and collars one for walking and one for training. Hes been on Mills dog food which I can vouch has been a game changer when it comes to his skin /coat. But he does have upcoming vaccinations that will be needed around his birthday. He thinks hes a little dog so he doesnt know his own strength when he tries to get in your lap lol. Bad habits, he will get into stuff when you are not looking (no food/snacks laying in reach, paper (especially tissue). Thank goodness he is not a chewer meaning your shoes and furniture are safe but he does love socks (he just wets them up really good with his slobber). I also have a very good cage (I refer to it as go to your room when talking to Achillies) that I will sell separately

Story
Frankie js a sweet loving girl. She’s five years old. My daughter is moving and can’t take her with her and is absolutely heartbroken over it. Frankie is good with some dogs other dogs she isn’t. She seems better with small dogs. She’s afraid of thunderstorms and will want snuggled during them. She’s low maintenance and just wants loved. She’s never bitten anyone. She’s been around older kids but hasn’t been around any small children. We just want her with someone who will love her as much as we do!

Marcie or Purdy is a super lovey velcro dog. She’s is a sweet heart and VERY high energy. Marcie loves other dogs and playing at the park. She knows sit, stay, come, lay down, and is extremely intelligent. Shes not terrible with cats but she will try to play with them without realizing how big she is. She good with humans aswell. I have to work over 40 hours a week now so I do not have enough time to give her and she deserves more. I have all her toys, harness, outside leash etc. Marcie needs someone who can give her daily exercise and park time as much as possible or at least another dog for her.

Story
ABOUT ME… Hi! I’m Izzy, and I am part of the Kentucky Four that arrived at CO•PAW when our shelter was destroyed in storms. I had suffered from Kennel Depression and lost a lot of weight and was pretty reserved when I came here. My personality is out and I’m just so happy. I have heard my foster family describe me as an absolute sweetheart - I love every person I meet. I can’t wait to be friends! No matter where we go, I will make new friends - whether they’re human or furry. I MUST meet every dog I see. My tail goes so fast it may cause injuries if you’re in its path. I won’t bark at another dog unless they bark at me (they started it). I’m pretty quiet. I don’t even like barking at the door. But I do like toys! They’re great. I would love to play with you outside and inside. I would also love to be able to spend time around you - in the same room as you, curled up in a cozy dog bed, on the couch, in your bed, staring out the window… I am a good listener, and am told I am going to be an amazing companion for some lucky person or people. Please don’t forget I am still young and learning, but very eager to make you happy and proud. I AM GREAT WITH… kids (I light up when I see kids and love to play with them! I can still get a little too excited with smaller kids, but my foster mom is working with me on this.), other dogs (all sizes), and cats. I am great with men and women. I AM STILL WORKING ON… some manners. I’m an eager and quick learner, and definitely food motivated. Leash training - I would really benefit from a good harness and training treats here. Crate training (being able to stay in there without crying) - my foster parents let me sleep in their room and crate me when no one is home. I have been getting better and better with my crate each time! I AM NOT GOOD WITH… Being left unattended around food, I will eat it. I am a counter-surfer. I REQUIRE… A fenced in yard would be preferred, but I can also be in an unfenced yard on a lead. I am very athletic, and have twice hopped the 4’ fence (once assisted by 2’ garden beds, and once without assistance) because I was so excited to play with the kiddo and dog on the other side. I did try to come back over as soon as my foster parents called me, but I couldn’t figure out how 🤷🏼‍♀️ My foster parents have been working very diligently with me, and I’m doing really well. They said that with continued training, that I won’t continue my jumping. VETTING... ~All animals in our care are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (age 1 & up), given preventatives, and provided with initial vaccinations AT MINIMUM. ~If booster shots have not been completed prior to adoption, they may be completed at our clinic in Columbus, OH at no additional expense. Alternatively, the adopter can use their own vet to boost vaccinations, at their own expense. TERMS & CONDITIONS... ~Adopters must reside in the State of Ohio. ~No transportation assistance is provided; adopter must commute for meet & greet. ~Meet & greets are not scheduled until there is an approved adoption application on file. ~The expectation is that you will bring your new pet home from the meet & greet, if all goes well. Please be prepared to do so by bringing a collar, leash, harness, crate, etc. to secure your new pet.

Story
From current owner: Due to unexpected changes in my living situation, I sadly need to find Cheese a new, loving home. Cheese loves being outdoors — running around, playing, and soaking up the sun. When he’s inside, he’s calm, relaxed, and makes a great house dog. He’s very alert and will let you know if someone is outside, but he’s not overly vocal. He enjoys going on walks and listens well when given commands — he’s easily redirectable and eager to please. Personality and Compatibility: 🐶 Dog-friendly: Yes, he gets along well with other dogs. 🐱 Cat-friendly: No, he does not do well with cats. 👶 Kid-friendly: He is generally good with kids, but should be supervised around young children who may not understand boundaries. He doesn’t like having his paws, ears, or face tugged or poked. He has never bitten anyone, but he has growled when a toddler pulled his tail and ears, so a home with older, respectful kids would be best. Cheese would thrive in a home that can give him love, space to play, and understanding of his boundaries. He’s a loyal companion who will bring warmth and joy to his new family. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal dog who loves outdoor adventures and quiet evenings indoors, Cheese might be the perfect fit! Located in North Texas, transport available and fee included

Story
Hershey KissMaleAge: 13Weight: 78 LbsBreed: Lab Hi there! My name is Hershey Kiss, and just like my name, I’m sweet, gentle, and hard to resist. I’m an outgoing, relaxed, and playful guy who loves being around people. I’m great with kids and friendly with other dogs—though I usually just mind my own business and do my thing. I’m a well-mannered boy: I’m house trained, walk nicely on a leash, and I don’t need to be crated when you leave me home alone. When I need to go outside, I’ll let you know by heading right to the door. I know some basic commands like “no,” “sit,” and “shake,” and I’m always happy to show them off—especially if treats are involved (I love all treats and toys and I’m definitely not picky about food!). My favorite activities include playing fetch and tug, going outside, lounging around, and soaking up attention. I enjoy being brushed and will happily cuddle with you for a bit—short cuddle sessions are my style. I also love kisses and I’m very tolerant of hugs. Most of all, I’m a sweet boy who just wants a home where I’ll be loved and given plenty of attention. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with a playful side, I might just be your perfect Hershey Kiss. If you are interested in meeting Hershey Kiss apply to adopt him at www.causeforcanines.org Adoption fee: $195. Must be an Ohio resident & 23 or older. Children must be 5 or older. ##2550283##

Story
Name: Minka ·       Male or female? Female ·       Approximate Age: 1 ½ years ·       Breed: German Shorthaired Pointer mix ·       Weight: 45 pounds ·       Any impairments: diagnosed with Wobbler Syndrome ·       Potty trained? Yes ·       Crate trained? Yes ·       Good with other dogs? Yes, with proper intros ·       Good with cats? Unknown ·       Good with kids? Yes ·       Commands known: sit, down, wait, spin, and more ·       Needs fenced in yard? Preferred ·       Need another dog in the home? No ·       Location: Portage, MI ·       Energy level (high/med/low)? High   Have you made some resolutions to get more walks in?  Or have more joy in your life?  Minka will guarantee your success!  This young German Shorthaired Pointer mix is a bounding ball of life, always ready to play fetch, run around outside, or try to squeeze herself into your lap.    Minka has been diagnosed with Wobbler Syndrome, a neurological problem affecting the spinal cord.  In the case of Minka, her back legs have a funny gait and she can lose her balance easily when she gets excited.  She should always be walked on a harness instead of just her collar.  Minka is not a fan of stairs – she needs a little help going up them and refuses to go down (but is happy to be carried down). While in her foster home, Minka will continue to be evaluated to make sure she is in no pain and to set up a protocol for managing her syndrome.   But Minka is not letting her diagnosis get to her!  She is a high-energy dog always ready to go out for a walk or a spin in the backyard.  Minka’s favorite toys are anything ball-shaped – she loves to make balls bounce by pawing at them on the ground.  But when it’s time to take a break, she wants to snuggle right up with her people.  Minka is fearful at first and will bark until she knows everything is safe.  She is quick to warm up to people – especially if she’s looking for someone to toss a ball for her.  Minka is looking for a family who can give her the support she needs to continue to thrive.  She loves routine and attention, and she will need some time to settle in and be comfortable.  Minka will return all attention and love threefold – take some time to meet this girl and see it for yourself! ##2627511##

Ollie is a pure breed GSP He’s 3 years old , house trained and crate trained He is very energetic and needs plenty of time to run and play. He needs lots of stimulation. Ollie is great with other dogs and is okay around kids. We have another dog that is having health issues and Ollie stresses our other dog out with the high energy he has. Our jobs and life style has changed and we can’t give him everything he needs.
