Story
Meet Mello – Delightfully One of a Kind Mello is the kind of dog who makes you do a double take—in the best possible way. With his short legs, slightly wiry coat, and unmistakable charm, he’s living proof that “interesting” and “absolutely adorable” go hand in hand. We’re told he’s a mini labradoodle… but honestly, Mello is just 100% Mello. At 9 years young, this guy still has plenty of pep in his step! He enjoys his walks, loves hanging out with his people, and is the kind of companion who truly values connection. Whether you’re heading out for a stroll or settling in for some couch time, Mello is all in—as long as he’s with you. Now, like any distinguished gentleman, Mello comes with a few quirks. He prefers that his prized possessions (think food or high-value treasures) are respected and not taken from him. With clear boundaries, respectful handling, and an experienced home, this is very manageable—and Mello will reward you with loyalty and love in return. Mello’s highlights:• 9 years young with just the right amount of pep• Affectionate and people-oriented• Enjoys walks and lounging alike• Delightfully unique in both looks and personality Mello is looking for a home that sees the beauty in being a little different—one that will appreciate his quirks, respect his boundaries, and love him for exactly who he is. He may not be your “typical” dog… but he just might be your perfect one Senior Soulmates Program: We believe senior dogs and senior adopters make some of the very best matches. Through our Senior Soulmates Program, adopters age 65+ who welcome a senior dog (8 years or older) into their family receive a reduced adoption fee of $275 Mostly Muttz Rescue, PO Box 406, Gilbertsville, PA 19525PA Kennel License 10872 ##2646105##

Allie (Female)'s Story Description of the Pet **Applicant Requirements:** -Be at least 21 years of age and the Homeowner or Rentee. -Households with children under 8 years of age, must have a physical fence attached to the home or an electric/invisible fence. However, there are other instances when a fence may be required for the safety of the dog or puppy Name: Allie Age: 2.5 years DOB: 8/10/23 Weight: 55 lbs. Crate-trained: Yes PLEASE NOTE: To apply to adopt, the application and adoption process can be found on our website greenmorerescue.org. Please read dog's bio carefully before applying. Meet Allie! Allie is a Labradoodle/Black Labrador Retriever mix under 3 years old with a big smile and an even bigger zest for life! This happy girl is full of energy and always ready for her next adventure. Whether it's playtime in the yard or heading out for a walk, Allie brings enthusiasm wherever she goes. Because she gets so excited (life is just that fun!), Allie is working on channeling that energy in more focused ways, like holding a toy while getting harnessed or heading out for walks. This helps redirect her excitement and sets her up for success. With consistency and positive reinforcement, she'll continue to improve. Allie is both dog-friendly and kid-friendly! She would do best with children who understand that she's an energetic, playful pup and may get excited during playtime. Kids who are comfortable around an active dog and can respect her space when she needs it will make great companions for her. She also enjoys the company of other dogs and loves having canine friends to play with. A fenced yard is a must for Allie so she can safely run, play, and burn off her energy. If you're looking for a fun-loving, active companion who will keep you moving and smiling, Allie might be your perfect match! Adoption donation is $425 cash, $450 credit, debit or Venmo. Story
Everyone meet Miss Tulip. Tulip is a 3yr old(ish) Merle mini poodle weighing in at 12lbs and boy is she a stunner!!! With her beautiful Merle coloring and her ice blue eye she is sure to melt your heart. Tulip is still a little shy and will require a very patient and understanding home. Hi friends, it’s me Tulip. I’d like to start by telling you I’m still pretty skeptical of the world. My life before rescue wasn’t great, I hold a lot of trauma from that. My foster family is teaching me that not all people are mean and I trust them, but Im still a little nervous. I will need a new family that is quiet and chill with very minimal commotion. Another furry sibling who is confident and chill would be amazing. I love all my foster siblings very much, both canine and feline, and I know having another doggie friend will make my transition a little less scary. My foster mom says I am a Queen with the potty thing, whatever that means. Maybe she is happy cause I never go inside. I’m also ok with a crate. My favorite place to be is on my dog bed, except for when the black kitty of the house won’t leave me alone, then I take a nappy in my crate. I don’t get on the furniture, yet. My foster mom keeps trying, bless her heart. Tulip has not had much practice on a leash, they scare her. We have no doubts she will be fine one day but today, she is not so she will require a physically fenced in yard. This is NOT NEGOTIABLE! She is UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. She has also been spayed and had a full dental. If you are the calm and quiet home with a fenced in yard that Miss Tulip needs to be her bestest self, please apply for her at www.zoeshouserescue.com Kennel License 9117 Reading PA 19608

Story
Sweet and shy Kira was surrendered from a commerical breeder. She is a 1 year old, ~40lb golden doodle. Kira means sunshine. Unfortunately, her previous life does not appear to have include any sunshine. It is said some dogs need so much extra love to forget about their past life. She definitely falls in that category. Now in foster she is very slowly starting to shine. She is excellent in the car, learns a routine quickly, and does not have accidents in the house. She could be your one and only for you to give all your attention or could share with a calm fur sibling. Her favorite toy is a tennis ball. She throws it and catches it by herself. Kira requires a fully fenced yard, as she is still very scared of most everything. She needs a super patient person to continue breaking down the wall she has built around herself - we promise she will be worth the wait. We are expecting that Kira will specifically need more adjustment time than some others - she does well with consistency and having routine throughout her day. In her current foster home she has made much progress - initially needing to be carried outdoors. Now Kira will walk on a leash and is known to play with her tennis ball and explore the yard, or will hang out with her foster mom and relax. She is not fond of the male in the foster home, so an all female home would be best for her. Kira came to us extremely matted, and went through a beautiful transformation with her first real haircut. She will need routine grooming to keep her looking her best! She is microchipped, and has been on flea/tick/heartworm prevention since coming into the rescue and current on vaccines and has been spayed. Story
Meet Sugarplum! Age: 7years Breed: Mini Poodle Size: Small Energy Level: Moderate Sugarplum is a gentle, loving little poodle with a soft spirit and so much love to give. She may be a bit shy at first and needs some time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she becomes a devoted and affectionate companion. She walks beautifully on a leash and enjoys calm, relaxed strolls. Sugarplum would do best in a home with another friendly dog to help her feel secure and show her the ropes. She also does well with older, respectful children who understand that she may need a little space as she settles in. She is crate and potty trained, regression is common with a change in environment. Sugarplum has been through quite a bit and is looking for a compassionate adopter who will continue to support her care. She has had a dental procedure with extractions and has undergone surgery to remove both mammary chains due to multiple mammary tumors. She also has a stage 3 heart murmur, which will require daily medication for the rest of her life, along with annual checkups with a cardiologist to ensure she stays as healthy as possible. Despite everything she’s been through, Sugarplum has a quiet resilience and a sweet nature that shines through. With patience, understanding, and love, she will blossom into a deeply loyal companion. If you’re looking for a special little dog who will reward your kindness with unwavering devotion, Sugarplum may be the perfect addition to your home. Sugarplum is being fostered in Lancaster, PA and all potential adopters will need to travel there for a meet and greet!  Kennel License 9117 Reading PA 19608
