Story
With the heaviest of hearts, we are looking for the next family for our family. Please help us! Sweet 4yo lab-mix Scout has been a part of our family for 3 special years. He loves his people and will follow you around the house. He is house- and crate-trained. He loves to play and can be high energy, but has learned to keep the zoom-zooming in the backyard. Inside, he loves snuggling in his bed and relaxing in his crate. Because of his history living on the streets and possible negative interactions with humans, Scout is still working on his socialization and reactivity. These days, he is mostly relaxed and happy—as long as it’s just the family. However, our family has grown by two baby humans in recent times, and as much as we’ve tried, Scout has had a tough time welcoming little ones to the pack as we had hoped. That said, he is incredibly loyal, loving, and would make a great addition to any individual or couple. Fenced-yard, no kids, and prior experience with dogs required.

Story
Meet Duke! He is a very handsome, super playful guy who loves to be outside with his family. Duke is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping him continue his training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. He would love a doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep him from getting bored. Most of all he just wants to be with his family. He is house trained and crate trained. Duke loves car rides, neighborhood walks, and relaxing with his people on the couch. Duke does well with other dogs, when introduced properly. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this handsome guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ . Duke is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. Story
Meet Kimber. He was taken in with his brother and buddy Ruger. He is a 3 1/2-4 yr old, 70-75 lb sweetheart lab mix. Kimber is just a big love bug. Tends to be lower energy. He’s a bit on the shy/timid side compared to his brother. He enjoys plenty of affection, chasing and talking to birds, sunbathing, chewing bones, playing with doggy siblings, taking walks, or lounging on the couch. Kimber would enjoy a nice yard or land with doggy friends, plenty of affection, and maybe a couch or comfy bed to call it a day on. In his foster home he has become accustomed to an indoor/outdoor lifestyle. Kimber is vetted, neutered, microchipped, house trained, kennel trained, walks on a leash, and knows basic commands. Kimber would make a great loving companion. If you would like to meet this sweet guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ . He is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.

Story
Hi! I'm Charlie and I'd love to be your BFF! I am 5 months old and I already know how to sit and lie down! And I am working on stay and come. I am the perfect age and temperament to start training to go to dog friendly places! I love following my humans around the house and settling wherever they are! I love to snuggle with my humans when I'm tired. And I love all other dogs - they are my playmates! I also love the cat I'm fostered with - but he doesn't seem to like me back. I'm trying to change his mind though! I've even tried to mimic him by lying on the back of the couch too! I just can't figure out how he balances back there, but I'll figure it out eventually! I have very good manners when taking treats. I take them very gently and am not grabby like I hear some other puppies are. I am crate trained and know how to use a doggie door! I am very good at remembering to use it when I need to and almost never forget anymore! There's only one thing keeping me from being the happiest and luckiest pup in the whole world - I need a home and family of my very own! Don't you want to be my FORever family? If you would like to meet this precious guy and make him part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ Charlie is located in North Alabama with transport available to your area. Friends of Rescue requires a virtual home visit and vet reference prior to all adoptions. All Friends of Rescue animals are indoor family members.
