Story
Molly is so sweet and loving. She is approximately 11-12 months. We rescued her at 9-10 months ( she was a stray with no real information) and our circumstances changed. She will make a great companion or family dog. She is currently in puppy training and knows her basic commands. We have a crate, bed, leash and toys. She sleeps in her bed at night. She will do well with someone who works from home or has flexibility to spend time with her.

Story
Hank is the sweetest dog in the world and loves people. Everyone who meets him falls in love with him. We have 3 kids and one other dog. He is great with kids and other dogs (no cats though!) He LOVES running free and chasing deer and is a natural hunter. He is extremely smart and could easily be trained to be a hunting dog. We adopted him from my mom and have a small yard. He escapes from our fence all the time and gets very mischievous when restless. He needs to go to a home with lots of land. We love him so much but feel it's unfair to keep him in our house and small yard when he just wants to be outside running free all day. We don't have the time or money to train him. He is the perfect dog for someone who has property so he can come and go. We will be vetting very carefully since we do love him so much.

Story
Meet Cali! Cali is a 4-month-old lab mix puppy with a sweet and gentle soul. Born to a feral mom, she and her siblings spent the first couple of months of their lives without much human interaction, so she’ll always be a bit shy. But once Cali warms up, she’s the most easygoing and lovable companion you could ask for. Cali adores other dogs and finds confidence in following her four-legged foster siblings. She’s doing great learning the ropes, including house training and using the doggie door. At night, Cali cozies up in bed with the children in her foster home (they even argue over whose turn it is to snuggle with her!). Cali is looking for a patient and loving family with another dog to help her continue building trust and confidence. If you’re ready to give this sweet girl a safe and happy forever home, Cali will fill your life with quiet love and gentle loyalty. Story
Affectionately called "Tiny Terra" by her foster pawrents, this gorgeous little pup is an adorable mixture of sassy and sweet. Terra is a medium sized mixed breed that we guess is part Lab and part who knows. She was pulled from a local shelter after being put on the euthanasia list. We saved her, got her healthy and this little pup is ready for her furever! And yes, her ears do naturally stand like that. We're in love with them too. Terra is a precious pup that loves to play but has also settled into an amazing pup that enjoys a good cuddle and movie on the couch. She loves to play in the yard and would adore having a 4 legged sibling that likes to play. She also enjoys going for runs or walks in the neighborhood. This girl handles car rides like a pro and immediately starts the sniffs when you crack the window. She is naturally curious though so an owner that can help establish boundaries would be better. She's managed to get her nose in our coffee cups more than once but isn't destructive. This playful pup will be an amazing addition to the right family. Terra would be great with older kids that are steady on 2 legs. She's incredibly smart, knows sit and working on place, house trained, crate trained, and knows her leash manners. Terra corrects easily and is very sensitive so gentle guidance will be all you need for her. She can get chatty when she's frustrated, like when her 4 legged siblings don't want to play. :D A simple "that's enough" and she settles. If you're interested in learning more about this gorgeous girl or would like to apply and have her join your family, please submit this form: dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form. We'll forward it to her foster mom who will reach out from there.

Story
Darla is a sweet fun loving girl. She has typical shepherd markings on a sturdy lab body. Darla seems to love everyone but full charming, fun personality emerges. She's the perfect mix of chill and playful. Her German Shepherd line means she's going to bond with you and her family. She is especially fond of women and would do fantastic with a single woman who wants a dog that will alert to dangers but will do well in a family environment too. She'll be right there wherever you go in the house. Darla knows some basic commands like sit, shake, sit up, and is pretty good about staying. She loves to play with dogs similar to her size and loves playing outside.. okay she just loves to play. She loves squeaky toys, though they won't last long! She can find a squeaker in no time. She also needs tough chew toys. Darla is house-trained, rides well in a car, and will sleep in crate all night. She would prefer to sleep on a dog bed, in your room, and not make a peep. Darla is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is heartworm negative and waiting for her forever home. Darla is fostered in North Alabama but is available to other areas via transport. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, is heartworm negative and on preventatives. Apply at https:/forrescue.net
