Story
7 year old Finn (Finny) of Victoria is looking for a home. This handsome boy, weighing 60lbs may be a lab x shepherd. Finn is a sweet, handsome, sensitive, smart boy who is dedicated and affectionate with his people. He loves tummy rubs, ear scratches, back rubs and will request more with a gentle paw or moan. Finn loves spending time with his people but is good alone. Finn is timid with strangers and prefers his home to be a sanctuary for his family. He is afraid of young kids and cats. Finn is good with dogs, doesn't pull on leash and has good recall. Finn is food motivated, house trained, and knows his standard commands. He loves a backyard where he can relax, sun bathe and play tag. Finn has a big bark but only uses it to alert you to visitors, doorbells, and cats. Finn was found as a very young puppy in parking lot with his mum and 10 siblings in Mexico and spent his first 10 months in a shelter which is why strangers and loud noises are scary. He likes a safe quiet space to rest and call his own when things are too hectic. He is looking for a compassionate, quiet home with a yard… a squeak toy, stuffy, bone, or even some paper to shred wouldn’t hurt either ! For enquiries please email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com, or go directly to our application here: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw

Story
This dog is located in Houston, TX and is available for adoption to this area. The adoption fee covers the transport cost as well. Sebastian is a super sweet, happy-go-lucky boy. He is approximately 6 years old. He is moderately active and loves ALL people. He is a major goof ball and is very playful. He was part of an effort to reduce a population of stray dogs in a rough part of Houston where a large group of strays were developing. Rescues came in and pulled a bunch until there was just Sebastian and another dog we think is related somehow. He was very nervous and in rough shape when he first came to the rescue. He had a huge scar on the top of his head that we think he was hit with something at point. He was very thin and had hair loss and was suffering from tons of intestinal parasites, heartworms, ear infections and untreated skin allergies. He is now completely healed, heartworm negative and on a special diet that has gotten rid of the skin issues and ear issues completely. He is now a very healthy boy who would love a forever home. He is nervous with new dogs and does much better with female dogs if they give him time to warm up to them. He is very playful and LOVES toys. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and current on heartworm and flea prevention. Please email westhoustonanimalrescue@gmail.com for more info or an application. All our pups are spayed/neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and on heartworm and flea prevention. Our adoption process starts with an application and a vet reference.

Story
Meet Ralph, a big and handsome canine companion seeking a new home filled with energy and adventure. Ralph found his way into our care when his previous owners could no longer meet his needs. This lively fellow is bursting with energy, making him the perfect match for an active family ready for long walks and exciting escapades.Due to his spirited nature, Ralph thrives in an environment with ample space, ideally a home with a yard and secure fence. Small spaces are not his preference, as he enjoys the freedom to move around. However, his exuberance can lead to jumping, so training to refine his manners will be beneficial. Ralph's enthusiasm is not only charming but also makes him incredibly easy to motivate with treats, making ongoing training a delightful and rewarding experience. Ralph is a ball enthusiast who finds pure joy in playtime, especially when a lively game involves his favorite spherical companions. When Ralph is swept up in the thrill of the moment, his happiness takes the form of a charming quirk - he always delights in having a toy cradled in his mouth. It's as if the joy bubbling within him seeks expression through the comforting presence of a beloved plaything. While Ralph was good with other dogs in his previous home, a household without small children would be most suitable due to his size and tendency to jump. The jury is still out on his compatibility with cats and other small animals, as this remains uncertain. If you're looking for a canine companion who matches your active lifestyle, has a love for outdoor adventures, and can be a loyal friend, consider bringing Ralph into your home. With the right training and a spacious environment, Ralph is sure to bring joy and enthusiasm to his new family.Do you think you could be Ralph's person? Here are some ways to find out: 1.) Story
Meet Molly!Molly is a gentle and affectionate senior dog seeking a loving forever home. This sweet old girl found her way to us when her family could no longer care for her. Molly may appear reserved initially, especially around new faces, but with patience and kindness, she blossoms into a loyal companion. One of Molly's favorite pastimes is reveling in scratches and indulging in tasty treats, though she's a bit on the plump side and will benefit from a carefully managed diet. This affectionate pup lights up at the prospect of walks, displaying genuine excitement at the sight of her leash. A yard is a must for Molly, as she is accustomed to having outdoor access and would thrive in a setting where she can explore and enjoy the fresh air. While she has a history of getting along well with dogs and cats, Molly would shine brightest as the sole canine in her new home. If you're looking for a devoted companion who appreciates the simple joys of life and enjoys the company of a doting human, Molly might just be the perfect addition to your family. Molly can be a bit stubborn during walks, requiring a patient and understanding owner. With a little time and patience, you'll discover that Molly's endearing qualities far outweigh her occasional resistance on walks. Do you think you could be Molly's person?
