Story
Abby came to us in 2014 maybe a year old. She is sweet and gentle and loves everyone. My husband recently died and care of dogs has been challenging. She needs to get exercise and a walk every day helps her burn off extra energy. She loves to run after balls but won’t bring them back! She has a sister Chuaua and they get along great.

Story
Stella is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so she is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. A family observed Stella being pushed out of a vehicle and abandoned. They took her in and were planning on keeping her since she was such a great dog - being good with their dog, cats, and chickens. But their first dog did not like Stella and attacked her, so Stella had to go. Stella is microchipped and we discovered that she was adopted from a shelter in Greenville SC. The adopter moved to Texas and told us that they had "rehomed" her. Stella is a yellow lab/chow mix (she has the purple tongue of a chow) and she weighs 80+ pounds. The microchip data tells us that she is 6 years old. Stella is a very good dog. She was understandably scared of our other dogs at first but she is now okay since she knows they won't hurt her, and she has just started to play with some of them. Stella has not shown any interest in toys or chew bones, but she loves treats. Stella is also content to lay in the yard or in the house and loves pets, scratches, belly rubs, and human attention. Stella is fine with cats and chickens. She has no interest in them. Stella is house-trained and very well-behaved in the house. She will whine when she needs to go outside. Stella rides well in a vehicle, sits on command, and comes when called. She likes to go on walks (but pulls on the leash sometimes). Stella could use some additional gentle obedience training. Stella needs a few days to learn to trust new people and unfamiliar situations but treats quickly make things better. We recommend that Stella only be around older children who know how to behave respectfully with dogs. Stella must be in the house as a loved member of the family. She needs to be walked on a leash and would like a securely fenced yard to sun herself and go potty. Stella is healthy. She is spayed and tattooed, fully vaccinated (DAPPvL2, Bordatella, rabies), and microchipped. Stella is heartworm-negative and on monthly heartworm and flea prevention. Stella's adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Kent, Arlington, or Bellingham WA. Stella is being fostered in Texas and cannot be transported until after she is adopted. ~~THIS IS A COURTESY POST. THESE DOGS ARE **NOT** IN THE CARE OF AHS. PLEASE CONTACT THE OWNER DIRECTLY AT terahrose711@gmail.com TO INQUIRE ABOUT THE DOGS. ALL REHOMING FEES WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH THE OWNER. THANK YOU~~ .Please meet Jazzy, Fatima, Rex and Oreo. They are 12 week old Labranese/Border Collie Mixes. Fatima is sweet, but energetic.  Jazzy is super smart and very sweet, but also fairly dominant.  Rex is not nearly as excitable, and it is very sweet, but will probably be more on the lazy side. Oreo is a little bit standoffish, and seems to be an even mix between energetic and chill.  I think with the right person, he would be very devoted to one person or a family but it would probably require a fair bit of socialization to get him comfortable with many people and other animals. ~~THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Wahooo! My name is Maggie! I have so much personality, and I love to play! I'm great with big and small dogs! I'm currently in a foster home with 15 other foster dogs, I play in a big group of dogs in the yard, so I get a lot of my energy out that way. I am great passenger car driver dog too! I have a lot of energy, so I would enjoy humans that would take me on walks, or play with me in the yard. I also just love cuddles on the couch or on the bed, that's actually my favorite thing to do. Oh, and I'm crate and potty trained! No accidents here! I'm the perfect size, I would say a medium sized dog! You can pick me up, but I love to run! I'm all smiles all the time. If you're having a bad day, I'm pretty sure to turn your frown upside down! Kisses! Muah!!! Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We provide weekly socialization programs for our dogs through playgroups and group leash training classes available to all dogs in our adoption program, and Doggy Sleepover, Doggy Day Out, and Ambassador programs for our boarding dogs. There is a professional dog trainer on staff to provide support for our fosters and dogs, and an off-site dog trainer for dogs that need more extensive behavior modification. This helps us learn deeply about every dog, prepare them for adoption, and ultimately match them with loving families. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.). • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week). • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan. • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan. • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Chako! A 3.5 month-old lab mix puppy in desperate need of a loving forever home. From a volunteer- "Chako is the perfect mix of cuddly, sweet, and playful. He is a little shy at first, but opens up after a little bit. He loves to be pet and give kisses. He would make a great addition to any home!" Currently fostered in the heart of Texas, this precious pup is thriving under the care of a dedicated foster family. But Chako eagerly awaits the day when he can embark on a new adventure and find his forever home in either the Pacific Northwest or New England areas. Raising a puppy from such a young age holds numerous advantages that will shape their character for a lifetime. By providing a nurturing environment right from the start, you have the unique opportunity to mold their temperament, personality, and behavior. This beautiful pup is like a blank canvas, ready to absorb all the love, guidance, and positive experiences you can offer. As they grow up alongside you, they'll develop a loyalty and devotion that melts your heart every time you look in their adoring eyes. Pitbulls possess an innate desire to please their humans, making them a perfect candidate for training sessions, where they'll soak up knowledge like a sponge! In early December this remarkable boy will be ready to make the long-awaited journey to his forever home. Together, you'll create memories, go on adventures, and form an unbreakable bond. Story
Smart, social, confident, and affectionate! I’m Callie, but my fosters frequently call me Baby Dog Genius because of how quickly I learn things. I learned how to ring a bell to go outside in a day (although I usually ring it because I want to play outside and am still learning outside is where all “business” happens). When the humans didn’t respond fast enough to the bell, I taught myself how to open the door. (Yes, pushing the knob on the human door, not a doggie door.) Even though I am still very young, I keep my crate clean during my foster’s work day and know to go to my crate when they say “night-night”. My smarts are likely how I survived all on my own on the streets in Cleveland, Texas (which is such a bad place for animals there is a documentary called For the Animals about it). That’s all behind me now and I have fully embraced just getting to be a puppy. I love to wrestle with my young canine foster siblings. Being a good read of others’ feelings I know that the old dog only wants a napping buddy. I also am sensitive to the feelings of people in the house and if the young human cries I sometimes will howl along in solidarity while offering a snuggle. My favorite time of the day is when the school bus comes home. I have the cutest wag that starts at my shoulders and works its way to my tail until my whole body is wagging. I also have the sweetest smile showing my bottom teeth. Most people overlook black dogs, but my foster mom says I am so dainty looking with just the tips of each paw being white and a tiny white stripe on my nose. The vet thinks I was born around June and am likely a mix of Lab and Pit, but I do howl like there’s a little hound in the mix so it’s anyone’s guess. He guesses I will likely be a medium sized dog, but being a rescue nothing is known for sure. My foster home is great, but I’d love to have my own forever family to grow up with and I know if I am adopted another street puppy gets a chance to be rescued. While I love to play, I also really love to snuggle. Naps are one of my favorite things. I live with multiple other dogs, and kids, and I am good with them all. I don't even mind when the human kids practice their instruments! I would fit easily into any family, but I would really love to have a fenced yard to play in and do zoomies. I have already been spayed, vaccinated, vetted, and microchipped. I’m ready to travel to my new forever home either in the PNW or on the East Coast. I can’t wait to make my new family so happy! Please apply at the link below! This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations.
