Name: Cinnamon Age: 3 years Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Lab Jindo Mix Color: Cream Weight: 16kg Height: 49cm (shoulder) Rescue Story: Cinnamon was found wandering around a village and was taken to a city shelter. She was rescued in early December and is now waiting for her forever home ‍‍ With People Cinnamon is very friendly and affectionate. She happily approaches both familiar and new people, rubs against them, and enjoys being touched. She loves both men and women and does well with children under 13. She can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, and she often shows her belly even to people she just met — she’s truly a sweetheart who loves attention and affection With Other Dogs Cinnamon is very social and loves meeting new dog friends. She enjoys playing and interacting with other dogs and is especially friendly with dogs of similar size. She also plays well with smaller dogs, but because she keeps the same energy level, some smaller dogs may find her a bit overwhelming. She does well even with high-energy dogs and will communicate if she needs space. Since she enjoys both dogs and people, she would do well in a home with another friendly dog or as the only dog in the home With Cats Her reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but cat testing is possible. Energy Level Moderate energy. Cinnamon enjoys relaxing, but when she’s at the playground or playing with friends, she becomes active and playful. Walking Cinnamon does not have much walking experience yet, so she will need a bit more practice walking calmly with her person. When she feels scared, she may lower her body or look unsure, but she loves sniffing and exploring, so she is expected to improve quickly with gentle guidance. Other Notes Cinnamon does not guard food with people or other dogs, but she does have a good appetite, so feeding separately at first is recommended. She does not have separation anxiety, but she doesn’t enjoy being confined, so crate training and separation training may require some adjustment time in the beginning. She has been living in a private shelter for about a year and is now ready to finally experience life in a real home. With People Queenie is extremely affectionate and loves everyone she meets — both familiar faces and complete strangers. She happily rubs against people, seeks out touch, and enjoys being petted. She is friendly with both women and men and does very well with children under 13. Once she feels comfortable, she will roll over and show her belly for rubs. She can be picked up and handled with ease. With Other Dogs Queenie is a true social butterfly. She happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet them and invite them to play. She is gentle, friendly, and always wags her tail, even if another dog is rude or pushy. She tends to prefer dogs her size or smaller and avoids conflict. With Cats On walks, she may try to follow cats out of curiosity, but she responds well to redirection. Cat testing can be arranged. Energy Level & Home Life Queenie has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and walks, but once she’s had exercise, she settles down nicely and relaxes indoors. I spent too long in a city shelter and eventually found myself on the euthanasia list. Just in time, Dream Tails stepped in and gave me a second chance, bringing me to their training center — and now I’m ready for the next chapter of my life. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and communicate beautifully with them, showing my feelings clearly and setting boundaries in a calm, respectful way. I walk nicely on leash and don’t pull, making our walks something we can both enjoy. I’m often told I’m very handsome — but what truly sets me apart is my heart. Meet NikkiNikki came to the center due to her previous owners health issues. She has been sweet with the staff and seems to be house broken. She does have some allergies and will need to be kept on a hypoallergenic diet. Nikki would benefit from an active home as she is currently a little rounder than the vet would like. She enjoys a good game of fetch and even jogs with the volunteers so that should help her shed those extra pounds. Nikki can be selective with other dogs, so she should be the only dog in the home. Meet Lucille, a 2 year old Labrador! Lucille was captured by urban management in November 2024. Back then she was skinny as bones and had a skin condition. Now she is all healed up and with a foster family. At her foster family's, Lucille has learned lots - she walks great on leash, loves to cuddle with her humans, and gets along great with other dogs! Lucille is just such a love bug! Lucille does have a slight condition - when she is overly excited or in a new environment, she will occasionally clatter her mouth. We have done testing on her but have found nothing wrong psychologically or physically. The doctors believe they are idiopathic tremors. She is currently on meds but condition has not worsen or improved. This will stay with Lucille her entire life, and may evolve into epilepsy in the worst case scenario.
