Story
Hi. Hello. It's me. I'm Jaynie. I'm a pitbull mix with a big head, a bigger heart, and approximately zero interest in whatever is happening in this loud echo-y place you call `the shelter`Am I brave? Emotionally, yes. Situationally? No.I'm the kind of dog who needs a little extra time to decide you're cool. Sudden noises? Suspicious. New people? Possibly undercover vacuum salesmen. But once I figure out you're safe (and you might have snacks) I transform into a certified love sponge who will quietly glue myself to your side and gaze at you like you personally invented kindness. Things I'm great at:Leaning gently against you for emotional supportGiving soft, hesitant kisses once trust is establishedBeing extremely polite and extremely sensitiveExisting beautifully in calm, predictable environmentsThins I'm working on:Realizing the shelter is not, in fact, the apocalypseUnderstanding that humans are friends, not jump scaresConfidence (it's loading.....please be patient)I don't need a hero. I need someone patient, cozy, and kind. Someone who understands that the best dogs aren't always the loudest ones wagging at the gate. Sometimes they're the quiet ones waiting for their moment to feel safe. If you've got a soft voice, a comfy couch, and the ability to say `it's ok` like you mean it, I think we could be very good for each other.February 3, 2026, 9:49 pm

Story
Meet Gigi! Gigi is the perfect balance of independant, but also engaged. Meaning she doesn't have to always be up in your business. She is content to explore without constant attention, but also enjoys cuddling on the couch while you watch your favorite TV program. Gigi is a healthy adult dog. And despite the gray muzzle, she' only about 4 years old. She's an active girl, who also likes to curl up and relax on the couch with her favorite people. She knows the command "sit" and can give you her full attention for a "watch me." She enjoys treats and takes her treat rewards with a gentle mouth. Gigi enjoys a nice walk. She does pull a bit on leash, and is learning to walk politely. She is also non-reactive to other dogs during her walks, which is a nice bonus. Because we don't have a foster home available, Gigi is currently in boarding. We would love to get her into a foster home so we can get to know her better, but for now, one of our volunteers goes to visit her on the weekends and takes her out for outings and visits to her house. Our volunteer reports that Gigi does very well during those outings. She loads up easily in the car and seems to enjoy car rides. She is a polite guest at her house, and behaves nicely on walks with her resident dogs. Gigi is selective about her canine friends, but could do well with the right match and proper and slow introductions. If you're interested in meeting Gigi for foster or adoption, please let us know. She's a really great dog and would make someone a wonderful companion. Interested in meeting Gigi? Story
Meet Ralphie! Ralphie is about 2 years old. He is a happy boy who is full of energy! Ralphie is already crate trained. He is also potty trained in his current home, but as with any dog, he will need gentle guidance on the learning the appropriate place to potty in his new home. Ralphie seems to enjoy the company of other dogs of all sizes. He loves playing with other dogs and toys in his foster home. Ralphie knows how to sit when asked and is very food motivated, which will help make his continued training so much easier! Ralphie will be best suited to a home with older children, and prefers a feline-free home. Interested in meeting Ralphie? Not good with kids, Not good with cats, Needs special attention, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Bella is a 5 year old Cream lab mix (half lab, the other half is a mix of Australian Shepherd and Border Collie). She is a sweet, goofy girl that loves to be around her people. Even though she's a mix of higher energy breeds, Bella is the opposite of a high energy dog. If you take her on a mile and a half walk, you'll be dragging her home the last half mile. Bella is also an anxious girl, who spent a lot of her first year at the vet, so she's extra timid around new people. Once she warms up to you she will be giving you her paw nonstop and asking for pets. Bella is crate trained. She has behaved well around other low energy dogs as well (though she does like to chase/play with smaller animals.) She walks well on a leash and can follow basic commands. Bella also has food allergies that require her to be on a prescription diet. She should also be the only dog in the home with no small children.
